Description of Work: One end wall of my living room was covered with cork tile.....a home project gone tragicly wrong!!....I bought Adler Painting Angies list deal for $190 (I think) for four hours of work, stripping, sanding, skim coat ....Philippe called at 8-30am arrived by 9am...the man could not have been more plesant, a total professional...covered my floor, had the job done within the alotted time. Three and a half hours later I had one smooth wall ready for painting. In Manhattan this is what we call a gem... one rarely finds one....I requested a quote for a more extensive project ....the quote was reasonable and given the standard of work I recieved I hope to proceed in a few months.....one last thing...Phillipe told me he was with the company for almost twenty five years and the youngest member was there thirteen years....I think that says something for Adler Painting...what a nice expierence.

 + -1 moreThe gentleman who came to give me the estimate arrived on time and was quite efficient. About a week later, I got the estimate which was a bit higher than I expected and higher than two others I received. I repeatedly asked for a printed detailed estimate for the work. I got an estimate but just with a list and the end price. They did follow up with me via phone call, but I decided to go with one of the others because their estimates were closer in line and I am trying to stick to my budget. I bet they do great work, but you might want to shop around a little bit.
Description of Work: I got an estimate for painting my living room, two walls of another room, hallway, and front hall.

 + -1 moreWe asked the company for an estimate to paint one room, 2 bathrooms and repaint the doors in the apartment (7 in total). The person who came to do the estimate (Pierre) was very pleasant, courteous and punctual. He assured us this was a simple job which would take 2 days. However, Mr. Adler called us and told us that the job would take at least 10 days, would cost $3800 + the cost of raw materials. We were very puzzled especially since we had a quote from another painter for the ENTIRE apartment which included another bedroom, living room and hallways for $4800 all inclusive. When I told Mr. Adler that Pierre had said the job would take two days he got quite aggressive and said that Pierre said no such thing and the job would take 10 days. We decided that something weird was going on and decided to look elsewhere for our paint job.
Description of Work: Estimate for painting one room, 2 bathrooms and 7 door frames.

The painter he sent to do the job worked steadily and neatly, asking appropriate questions and completing the job exactly as we envisioned it should be done.
Description of Work: Ron's painter prepared, taped, plastered, and painted three rooms. This is a restoration project in an 1896 townhouse, so the work was very detail-oriented.

In an amazingly brief period of time they were able to paint our entire apartment (including the very, very high ceilings) to our exact specifications and with breathtaking precision. They did not smoke, drink, eat or even talk during working hours - they just painted and the results are spectacular. The price is far less than we would have expected for a job of this size and complexity, and we would not hesitate to use them again or recommend them to the most discerning homeowners.
