Todd is the best tradesman and the nicest person you would want to meet and that is based on my wife and my thoughts having lived on this planet for three quarters of a century. He is a consummate professional. He is fair, honest and does exceptional work. We first hired him to cut down our largest of about 20 giant oaks. The tree was dying and was a few feet from our house. Estimates included tree companies driving a bucket truck on our paver driveway. Todd said he could climb the tree without the necessity of a truck. We had a lot of firewood we wanted to give to a neighbor who had a wood stove for heating. Even though he was right across the street, other companies wanted to charge as much as $200 to ferry the wood to the neighbor. Todd did it without charge and his estimate was the best. That you don't forget.

Todd brought the firewood on time as promised, and stacked as requested. this wood is for a wood burning stove. There were no pieces that were too long for my stove, which is definitely a plus. Also their wood is definitely better than others we had used. All of them were hard woods. None were pulpy or soft wood like some other places we used. We are very satisfied with their product and will definitely use them again next year. 180 / cord 50 to stack

Great, Todd was professional on the phone, punctual, and delivered the best wood I've received over 20 years of ordering wood. Very few odd shaped pieces, all logs cut to a perfect, useable fireplace size. The wood was dry and not covered in soil, no rot, and appeared seasoned. The price was a touch high for the 1/2 cord, but not overly so, considering the quality. I "wood" recommend him highly.

Very well. Trees cut down to ground level . Branches and trunk cut in sections and lowered to the ground with a great deal of care and precision.

My husband I and were there and we both liked him and his estimate so I told him at the time that it was a 99% go but that I would call him the following day and confirm. I called his business number the following day (Monday) and left a message telling him we wanted to go ahead with the job and to please give me a call so we could set up a date. Two days later I had not heard from him so again I call his business number and the voice mail said the machine was full and no more messages could be added. I then called another number I had and was able to leave a message. The following day (Thursday) I received a call from his mother telling me that the number I had left the message on was Todd’s parents number and that she would make sure Todd got the information. She also gave me his cell phone number which I promptly called and left still another message. I am writing this on Saturday afternoon and still no return call. Very unprofessional. If he changed his mind on doing the job or thought the estimate was wrong at least a call would have been in order. I would not hire him or recommend him. I would be afraid he just would not show up for the job and there really is no way to get in touch with him. UPDATE: Late Saturday afternoon, just after posting the original review, Denise of Woodland Arbor Care called. After a lengthy conversation with her, she convinced me to give Todd another chance. I am glad I did. He arrived on time and as scheduled with 2 helpers and apologized for not getting back to me. He climbed my 70 foot tree as if it were nothing. It was located right next to our house. He took it down limb by limb with skill and never did even a small limb get close to the house. He also cut down another tree and removed several overgrown limbs from other trees. While I know nothing of tree removal I could tell he certainly did. He was like a surgeon! He and his crew work together very well and they were neat and courteous. I would hire him again and can honestly say I highly recommend him.

It was getting a bit late in the season before I called looking for firewood so I was very pleasantly surprised with the price Todd quoted me for 2 full cords. Not only did he deliver it within 2 days, but this is, by far, the best firewood I have bought from anyone in the past 5 years. VERY little waste and very few pieces that were too long for the fireplace insert. Most of the wood is oak and it all looks to be seasoned very nicely. I would recommend Woodland 100% and I will absolutely use them again next year.

Last year we had a bad experience with another tree removal service (they were rushing so much, they also started cutting down a tree we did not want touched). So when we now needed two more trees removed, we were understandably apprehensive. Luckily, I found the name of Woodland Arborcare, Inc. on Angie's List and was pleased by the "A" rating and positive customer comments as to how "professional" and "careful" the work is done. Todd Holdridge, the owner of Woodland Arborcare, Inc., was able to come to give an estimate the same day I called. He arrived on time for the estimate, was pleasant, professional, and gave a very fair price for the work.. When I express our concerns about no damage be done to any nearby shrubs and that we wanted branches to be "roped" down, he reassured me that would be how the removal would be done. The day of the work, Todd arrived on time with two additional men. Todd was the actual "climber" and it was a pleasure to watch how careful and deliberate he was in taking down the two trees. The stumps were ground down, all debris was removed and the property was left as it was before the work was started. What a pleasure to have everything go well. Woodland Arborcare will be our go-to tree service in the future.

Todd Holdridge, the owner, arrived exactly on time with one worker. They started work immediately with Mr. Holdridge personally pruning the japanese maple and his assistant trimming the trees. These two people were fantastic. The work was perfectly performed, neatly done and with such skill it was great to watch. This company is absolutely professional, so much so that I wished they did general maaintenance, not just trees and bushes. I have already recommended this service to family members and neighbors. Excellent.

Don't even think of using somebody else. Our treasured 80 foot high, 100 year old oak tree was 3 ft from the front of our house. It had given us great shade for over 42 years but it was dying year by year and needed to be removed. Doctors, lawyers, dentists, teachers, accountants, plumbers, electricians, and athletes call themselves professionals but they are no were equal to Todd who was sky high for 8 hours, holding on with one arm and having ropes latched to another tree with his assistants helping on the ground; all the while, while he was using a chainsaw. There was no room for error. The log cuts that came off were enormous and the branches coming down had to miss our structures-house, gutters, white vinyl porch and railings and white vinyl post lantern near our house. All of them were untouched. Todd was the only one in the tree and he was over 80 ft in the air as he started cutting. Other estimates called for a big bucket crain and claw trucks to be on our paver driveway. But we didn't know if our driveway could hold their weight of 35,000 pounds each. Todd came to the rescue and hand cut for 8 hours. In addition Todd took the heaviest cuts in his pickup truck across the street to my neighbor who cuts them up for firewood. He also left me some stacked in my back yard for firewood at no additional charge. Surrounding the oak tree we had a 3 ft paver stone ring installed 2 years ago to highlight the tree, with flowers surrounding the outside of the ring. Todd and his crew took the ring apart and the flowers out so he could grind the stump below ground level. They put the ring back together and replanted the flowers also without additional charge. One paver in the driveway was cracked as a piece of wood had landed on it. When this was called to Todd's attention, he took an extra paver that I had, that had to be cut and went out and had the paver cut to size and replaced it without leaving a trace of his work. This was done quickly and efficiently without complaint. His price was reasonable, fair and the lowest estimate of nine that we received. Two estimates were unbelievably double his price. Once the cutting was done, he had to come back to do the stump grinding. He didnt want to be paid until everything was completely done. I would never even think of using anyone else in the future.

Todd's price was more than fair. He and his crew were wonderful. They did everything they were supposed to do and more. They arrived on schedule and did excellent work. Would highly recommend him and would use him again in the future.

Todd from Woodland was prompt in responding to a request for an estimate. Provided an detailed estimate defineing exactly what was to be performed. Upon accepting the estimate, scheduled the dates for the work to be performed. He and crew showed up both days on time and stayed at it until all work (plus a good number of small requested) were completed. The entire crew was a pleasure to work with. All debris was removed and property was left clean and neat. Very pleased with the results and would recommend their services to all.

Todd never provided a written estimate and that was the only thing that made us unsure of using his service. His price seemed very fair and he seemed like a reasonable guy. We had also gotten a high price from a certified arborist. We decided to go ahead w/Woodland since the other was too high. . They arrived on time on the agreed upon day and he had the liability proof that we asked to see. They took down a pretty good sized tree in backyard that had signs of insect damage to the core (at base of tree) which turned out to be very hollowed out. They took down a second dead tall tree with not so many branches that seemed scary to remove. They did excellent job and removed dead branches high up on other trees as well. They took away all the wood and ground one stump plus small stumps of bushes we had cut down. His crew was very respectful and nice. We would use Todds company again in the future.

It went very well. I have always found his prices to be good, and he takes a lot of care in what he does. He will do things the way you ask him.

We had Woodland Tree Service trim our trees in June of 2011 and we were very satisfied with Todd's work. We called last summer and again approximately two weeks ago. We gave up waiting for a return phone call to set up an appointment and are now getting estimates from other contractors.

From the initial estimate, Todd kept in touch regarding how and when the work was to be done. He and his crew worked on three separate days to remove the trees, brush, etc., and grind the stumps. We are extremely pleased with the work that was done (and the price it was done for), the timeliness of the job, and the thoroughness of the cleanup. We recommend this business.

My husband called left a message on Saturday. He received a phone call back on the same day. Todd came by next day - Sunday- to give an estimate. Work was done on Tuesday. They showed up on time and cleaned up very well. Would definitely recommend them
