Dave was at my house for an estimate the next day after I called. There was no hard sell. He explained the job thoroughly providing several cost options. After I agreed he kept to his start date (within a week), arrived on time and again explained the job. Afterwards, he left leaving one of his worker's to do the job. Dave stopped by periodically to check. The worker was knowledgeable, courteous and did an excellent job. The job was completed, as promised, in one day.

Main contact David Walker was punctual, informative, and very easy to work with. On his initial visit he listened to what I wanted done and he was able to provide me with detailed solutions and a same day estimate. David and his crew were able to get the job completed in the original time frame he quoted. The work was fantastic - the house looks almost brand new and you can visually see the attention to detail. Truly a professional job and I highly recommend.

This was probably the 4th time I have hired them for different things around my home. Sal always gives me a fair price and sends excellent people to do the job. The work is alway excellent and they want to make sure you are satisfied. They are the only painters that I will ever use.

We hired Walker Painting to spackle, tape, and paint our new kitchen and to prime and paint 2 additional rooms. Everyone we came in contact with from the salesperson who gave us the estimate, to the owner, to the painters themselves were professional and easy to work with. The price was on par with another estimate we received. We went with Walker because we had a sense that they were experienced and were prompt and courteous. I am so glad we did. The painters arrived on time, protected all work surfaces neatly and cleaned up each day. The walls in one of the rooms they painted are textured stucco and one was damaged and they were able to recreate the texture to make it blend in nicely. A day after they finished I noticed one unfilled hole and a blemish on the wall. Dave was responsive and prompt and the spots were fixed beautifully. I admire their work every day. The walls look so great and a new paint job refreshes everything. Don't hesitate to hire them!

Well done. Very professional. Very willing to do extras such as change a light bulb on a high ceiling or spray clean a very high, impossible to reach window and the interior glass of skylights. I was very pleased with their work and attentiveness to detail. His men were excellent. They were helpful, polite and professional. Either Dave or Sal stopped by everyday to check the work. They go out of their way to accommodate you. I still have 3 bedrooms left to have painted and without a doubt I will hire Walker Painting. Probably the best experience I have had any company I have ever hired.

The name of this company really should be "Walker Wall Repair and Painting," because Dave and his team do a lot more than just paint your walls. My family and I recently bought an old house in Nassau County and every room looked old and dilapidated because of serious problems with the walls and ceilings that required a lot more than just a coat of paint. Throughout the process, Dave and his team did an amazing job; he was always helpful and responsive and his group was extremely quick and efficient. While we put quite a bit into this, Walker was less expensive than other companies we got estimates from and Dave is the only person who talked about repairing the walls, not just painting them. Despite doing almost the whole house and doing some very serious skim coating and crack repairs, his team was done in about a week and a half. Dave was also really good at explaining why something cost what it did and at providing accurate estimates for the work. While other painters we talked to took days to even get back to us about a quote, Dave came on a Saturday and told us on the spot what each part of the project would cost and we immediately booked his team to start the following Wednesday. So what did we have done? The livingroom and hallways both were covered in a disgusting plaster that made them look like the inside of an ancient cave and looking at these walls made me almost sorry I bought the house. In addition to the disgusting cave-like texture, the walls and ceilings were covered with stress cracks. Walker came in and skimcoated them so well that these plaster walls are now completely flat and look like brand new dry wall. Even more impressive was how Walker handled our master bedroom. The bedroom walls were made out of the kind of paneling last seen in 1970s; we had talked to a contractor about removing and replacing these walls with fresh ones and were given a quote of $5,000 (for just the bedroom). Dave had a better idea; his team skim coated the walls so that the paneling is no longer visible and the walls now look like fresh, new flat drywall and that cost around $1,200 a lot better than $5,000. All of our closets had giant gashes in the walls; one even had so much wall missing that it had an intimate view of the studs. Walker fixed these holes so well that we can't tell there was ever a hole there. We had baseboard molding that was missing the "shoe molding" part so you could see or even stick your finger inside the wall (yuck). Dave and his team put on new shoe molding and painting these ugly moldings with a fresh gleaming white. All of the interior doors were gross, filled with nail holes, and fading stain. We considered replacing the doors with new ones and got a quote for $5,000 from a door specialist. Instead, for $1,000, Walker painted and repaired the wood on our doors making these 87 year old doors look like new. As for colors, Dave told us he could match any color on the market and, true to his word, matched color samples we had gotten from Valspare and Behr, even though he uses much higher quality paint. To make a long story short, what Walker Painting did was make our old house look brand new by making the walls, ceilings, doors and moldings -- most of which were original from 1927 -- look like new. They did it quickly, affordably and with plenty of great communication throughout the process. We will definitely use them soon for the couple of areas we didn't do yet (basement, attic, porch) and we would recommend them to anyone and everyone. They are a wall repair and rejuvenation service, not just painters. And just to add the crew that came to do the work were superb, they were professional, polite, neat and after all the work was done (much of it extremely messy plaster work) you could barely tell since they not only used tarps to protect our floors they cleaned up so well after themselves. 12/16/14 To update we have used this company 2 more times since our initial service and are still just as happy and ecstatic about the company and the quality of their work. I see us having many more projects for them to work on in the future.

Called for Walker Painting to give us an estimate. Arrived when they said they would. Scheduled the work when promised and were prompt, neat, clean and very professional. We would absolutely use them again.

Crew was very punctual, polite, trustworthy, very respectful of my home and did a pristine job. Estimate of 8 days to complete the job was on point! They took care to cover everything and cleaned up after themselves. David and Sal checked in every day to make sure that all was going well and to confirm what work was being done that day. We had previously used Walker for several paint jobs and have always had excellent experiences. Our large basement needed to be redone after a large flood and I realized that this company also was able to do the drywall and trim. As we have found in the past everyone at this company is extremely professional.They are always punctual and responsive. The workers who came to the house were extremely courteous. They left the basement neat and clean ,completed the job is less time than anticipated and they did phenomenal work. One of the workers had done one of our prior painting jobs several years ago. I think that one of the positives of the company is that they seem to have employees who have been with the company for a while unlike some other companies. I will definitely use them again.

This is the 2nd time I have used Walker Painting. My biggest regret is that I didn't know about them several years ago. The owners are incredibly responsive and their prices are very competitive. Their painters always do great work. They treat my home as if it was their own. They always take the proper precautions around their work space and leave the area spotlessly clean when they are done. I highly recommend them and will certainly be calling them again in the future. A+

Dave Walker is the man... We had a few different companies come to estimate the work, and Dave was by far the most professional and knowledgeable person we met. He was able to promise a quick completion of the work, and was able to deliver exactly when promised. Considering the amount of work we needed, I was skeptical he would be able to deliver as promised, but it wasn't an issue. Dave was beyond professional, and super accommodating during the entire time his workers were in my home. The paint job came out beautiful, and everyone that comes to visit raves about how nice the paint is. Dave also offered a free touchup day after we moved into the house, which we took him up after we had a few dings in the wall with moving furniture. Dave's guy showed up as promised and took are of everything that needed to be looked at. I would highly recommend Walker painting, not only becuase they did a professional, and clean paint job, but because of the way Dave conducts his business. A true honest businessman!!! He may not be the cheapest company around, but you truly get what you pay for with Walker Painting and we couldn't be happier.

In his ad, it states he does wallpaper. When I called, he said he would have to send me to his business partner. I asked if his partner was on Angie's List and he said no. I didn't trust him after that.

I bought a house the needed extensive work. I took Sal's suggestion by having the painters come in last to finish the project. I took his suggestion. They did a fantastic job!! They were neat, clean, professional!!! They painted the entire interior of the house and did some wood trim work that came out real nice. Drop your pen, pick up your phone, call Walker Painting, you will not regret it!!! Dave and Sal were true professionals with great customer service which is hard to find these days.

They were fabulous. They moved furniture and were extremely clean. They painted my downstairs in three days. I would not hesitate to recomment them as they were highly professionall.

Painters were prompt and extremely neat and efficient. All our furniture was covered and protected. Everything was put back in place when painting was finished.

Can't say enough good things about this company! David and Sal are the kind of service providers that every contractor should model themselves after. Their commitment to customer service and satisfaction is real, not just words. Sal spent non-rushed time surveying our home and providing an exceptionally detailed estimate. They both stopped by during the work to make sure everything was going well. Their crews are mature, pleasant, hard working, meticulous painters who were exceptionally respectful of us and our property. First, a two-man crew painted the brick front/side and chimney outside, providing filler and fixes as needed to make sure the brick was in the right condition. Worked in tight conditions around landscaping; no damage to plants, etc. Good clean up. Next, a two-man crew worked almost four days skim coating our living room walls and ceiling, then painting the LV, den, the three closets, and a window seat. What a difference, wow! The results are like new in the LV with the skim coating; we're glad we paid the extra money to have it skim coated, not just painted, because it was covered up by multiple layers of wallpaper from the prior owner and a ceiling which had a terribly "alligatored" look from old paint. The prep alone took a day and a half; well worth it. I have hardwood floor in the LV and a new rug in the den--not a drop of paint on either! And the furniture that couldn't be moved out of the room was carefully covered with clean drop cloths. Our next stage will be the upstairs in a few months. The worst part of the project was our getting ready for the work--cleaning out closets, removing decor from walls, etc. It's a disruptive process, but such a treat to have a meticulously done, fresh paint job.

They were a pleasure to deal with in all respects. Sal helped us design a beautiful faux paint pattern for the master bedroom including color advice. They were able to schedule the job within a week or so and showed up exactly when they said they would - a rarity in this business. The workers were prompt, pleasant, professional and very artistic. They worked full 8+ hour days to get the job done. They were meticulous in their cleanup every day. We usually dread having any kind of work done in our house but Walker Painting was an exception to all that. We are perfectionists and we're very happy with the job!

The worker that came to the house was here for three days--full days. He always was here early (but courteously waited outside in his truck until our scheduled time). He was polite, conscientious and very hard working. He did an excellent job with painting mouldings, then cutting the paint line beautifully and painting two coats of paint. There wasn't a drip or a crookedly cut line of paint anywhere. And their prices were reasonable. I would highly recommend this company.
