Description of Work: Verity stored some of my belongings while we sold our home and then moved us to our new home. They made two pick ups at our old house and were there bright and early each time. Both crews were very professional. The crew that brought our belongings down did a great job. I don't know how they got that huge truck down our block, but Dennis and Matt made it. It was a rainy day and they did their best to make sure that they kept the dirt and leaves outside. The new house has a lot of stairs and I felt bad for them but they did not complain. They were very accommodating, even putting furniture in a different spot than I originally asked. What impressed me most was their honesty. They found that a knick knack shelf had gotten damaged during shipping and brought it to our attention. I really appreciated that. | |Everyone at the office was also very helpful and responsive. I was there quite often picking up boxes and bubble wrap and someone was always there to answers my questions. We were very happy with our move.

Description of Work: Most of what we asked of Verity was done well in a professional manner. However, from the beginning they knew that part of the job included delivering some furniture to our daughter in MD as well as moving us into our new home in NC. It took numerous phone calls to get them to make the MD delivery. In the meantime our items remained on their truck and went on other deliveries for weeks before it was finally delivered to MD.

Description of Work: Verity Van Lines employees packed, loaded & transported our household goods from NY to MD. They were polite, cooperative, efficient, careful & professional thru out the 3 days. Description of Work: The moving company came to my home in Smithtown New York. Packed up half of my things. The other half I packed. They did an OK job with the packing. They were not very accommodating when it came to the order of things I wanted done. |The worst part of the experience was in Florida. They unloaded the truck in a very big rush. It was nearly impossible for me to look at any or my belongings. |The movers took everything from the truck and put my things into a storage unit. They moved everything so fast there was no order to it at all. So everything I wanted in the front of the storage unit went to the back of the unit.

Description of Work: had to have them down in florida during a specific week, as I was closing my mom's apt. the first time they were supposed to come in July, but driver was going to be late & couldn't come till the following week, that wasn't going to work!. Rescheduled for august & they came on the day they promised! they are now storing my items, till I make room for them.

Description of Work: They moved us from a temporary residence in Suffolk County (where we had been for almost 18 months) back to our Hurricane Sandy damaged home in Rockaway Park (Queens County). They were on time (actually they were early), thoroughly professional and packed & handled everything damage free. I would use them again without hesitation.

They were expensive. The price was relevant and I don’t want to talk anything further about the price. I would use their services again in the future.

They were excellent but the company we are going to us stood out above everybody else and was unbelievable. It could have been a coin toss on which company we were going to use. We would definitely get a quote from them in the future.

 + -1 moreThey were very professional. Their packing services were excellent. I had a chandelier packed which was perfectly done. Their drivers and helpers were excellent as well as very helpful. I would give them the top ratings. I would tell others to use them for local and long distance moving as well as packing. They were right on the button with their pricing.

Description of Work: I am in RE and always recc Verity. This latest move was a move from Long Islkand to DC. At first it looks like Verity is more money but if you compare the bids one sees they are in fact the same or less. Their bids include everything just like one would expect. there are no "surprises" when you get the final bill: no charge for tape, stairs, box rental, etc. The caliber of these people is so much higher than their compeititon. I dont know how the others are in business.

 + -1 moreI had gotten so many estimates from movers and chose Verity because their estimate was reasonable and I liked the people I dealt with. Most of the other companies badmouthed competitive moving companies, tried to pressure me into signing with them, persisted in calling me on a daily basis and basically made me crazy. I chose Verity because I got an excellent personal recommendation and they were so nice and cooperative, not hounding me at all. The movers (Scott was the manager of the move) arrived early and had the whole house packed in four hours. And they could not have been nicer or more polite. The next day they arrived in PA and unloaded the truck in 3 hours and every single box was in the right place after they left. That day Scott and Mark did the move-in and these are the friendliest, most polite and professional movers I have every met (and I've moved a lot). There was not one scratch, ding or break in any of my belongings. They maintained their sense of humor throughout the whole project and helped if anything needed to be moved to the garage. Never a complain, always a smile and nice personalities. And they were fast! They didn't goof off, take breaks or rest. I went through many movers to find this company, all of which were awful!!! I cannot recommend Verity more highly. You will NOT go wrong with this company. The office staff -- Dominic, Sal and they lady were so helpful and concerned that I was comfortable with how it was all being handled. If you are even considering a move, call these guys. You will not do better for price, professionalism, trustworthiness or honesty. The final bill on moving day was only $50 more than the estimate, so they don't under or overestimate ahead of time to just get the job or look good at the end. DO NOT MOVE WITH ANYONE ELSE~~~ You will love them too.
Description of Work: Verity gave me a detailed estimate by Sal. They provided excellent prices on boxes and moving supplies, including a $50 gift card to purchase boxes. They packed a mirror and some heavy things and antiques. Then the next day, they drove to PA and unpacked the truck and put everything in the designated rooms. They put the beds together and unpacked the things they had packed.
