Had two separate services done and both went well.

They arrived timely and completed the work in one day. They were a friendly staff and helped us through the process. The outside of the house looks good. The lines from the compressor to the rooms are neat and not an eye sore. Compressor placement was perfect. The units work very good and are keeping the area's we wanted cool, very cool. We had one minor issue after they left. Our cable wires were clipped to the brick and when they installed they broke the clips. We didn't realize this while they were there. One quick call and they were back the next day and fixed it. Overall we were very happy with the price and service. The only constructive criticism would be they should have double checked the rooms for cleanliness. After they left we did have to clean up the dust particles from their drilling. Not a major issue, but figured this is something they could discuss with their technicians. We will use them in the future when our two wall AC's breathe their last cool breath.

Universe Appliance was the company we chose to do our oil to gas conversion. They were very prompt and professional. They took care of all the necessary things that had to be done, for example removing the old oil tank, having National Grid come and inspect once the job was done. The installers were great. They made sure the new boiler was working before they left. We couldn't be happier. They were not the cheapest, but they do offer financing which is nice. I recommend them.

The Universe team of plumbers, electricans, and home heating specialist and outside sales, with inside support were reliable, and experienced. The install team of Mike and Tom were skilled in the details of our gas boiler replacement. They were organized and personable - true professionals. I would recommend this business to a family member or neighbor. VC 7/20

THESE GUYS ARE GREAT. NOT MANY SERVICES VACUUM THE OIL TANK. THE OIL COMPANIES AND MECHANICS JUST TELL ME TO BUY A NEW TANK. THESE GUYS WILL ADD MANY MORE YEARS TO THE OIL TANK AT A SMALL FEE.

I called Universe and told them my Dishwasher is showing an error oE for my Samsung Dishwasher. When the service representative showed up he didn't have the Level Sensor that has to be replaced for an error oE. He said that he needed to order the part. They knew what was wrong before they came to my house since I gave them the code over the phone. From my point of view he shouldn't have come to my house without the part. They admitted that this part is the most common part that fails with Samsung. This level sensor part is readily available since so many Samsung dishwashers are having the same failure. Well, Universe wanted $275 to replace this part. Since they needed to order the part I told them that I was not interested in fixing it for that price. I first ordered a new Bosh Dishwasher with Best Buy. But I cancelled the Bosh order when I did a little research and found out that the Samsung level sensor only costs $37 online. I ordered the part and ended up replacing the part myself. The dishwasher is working now. They still charged me $97.71 just to look at the same error message that I told them over the phone. I think $275 is way over priced for a $37 part. Don't you? Universe has called me since I posted the review and offered to refund me the $97.71 - But they never did! I have not received a refund to date.

Based on the price we thought that should include even the bathroom. We felt they were too overpriced

I use them once for dishwasher and it was a good experience. With my refrigerator, I learned that the controller board was broken and that, thanks to the Japanese tsunami of a few years ago, the part was no longer manufactured! So the process they told me is to remove the broken part and send it out for re-manufacture (which would take around 2 weeks with no fridge). I found that Sears claimed to have the part, so I ordered it from Sears, and Universe was going to install. Guess what? The part didn't work when Universe came to install it, so I wasted their and my time. We ended up with Universe removing the board and doing the re-manufacture route. Universe was very accommodating and professional throughout and I would recommend.

Its not often that you find dedicated workers that take pride in what they do and try to please the customer as well. My overall experience with Universe has exceeded my expectations. We have been a long time customer and the quality of their work only confirms my decision to use them time and time again. From plumbing to electrical work there are no better. I give them an A across the board!!!

The experience was good. They suggested I call a former employee and he fixed the pilot light.

I basically dodged having to pay Universe $2800. More importantly, I do not trust them anymore. When my service contract runs out, I will not be using them again. Update: the company contacted me and expressed how upset they were that I was upset. They wanted to make things "right" and offered me an extension on my service contract. I feel so much better about this company.

I can't say enough about the service I have recieved from Universe. Always on time Polite and professional Complete work Flexible times I have used Universe a number of times over this year and found their service to be exceptional enough that I have purchased a service contract with them. I would highly recomend them and look forward to a continued relationship with them. I have an older gas furnace that they have replaced a number of parts on and now the furnace runs like it was a year old.

Service was great. Very professional company. Had a a few leaks after they installed the unit. I contacted the company and they came back over 3 times and eventually fixed the problem. They always sent someone over immediately upon my calls. I was very happy with this company. Hopefully the leaks have stopped. We will see in the summer when the units are on. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone who asks.

Everything was fine... I have to say I am late in providing this review. But, I do recal workers were very nice, prompt, professional and we are very satisfied.

i had purchased the part online and at first they thought i purchased the wrong part and they ordered what they thought was the right part. then they came back to install it and they realized i had ordered the right part to begin with. The reason i am rating them so high despite this little hiccup, is that they were honest, told me their mistake, used my part, fixed it, only charged me for the one service call. My son was home when this work was being done, not me, and I'm sure he wasn't paying attention so they could have basically told me anything - so I appreciated their honesty.

This company is very reliable and they stand by their guarantees. I had a manufacturer problem with my new air conditioning unit and Universe resolved the problem very effectively and promptly..I have had a contract with them all the years I own my home, and I always renew them every year because they come very quickly when you need them...

The serviceman was very nice and knowledgeable and explained what needed to be repaired and what it would cost. I was surprised at the price especially for the ice maker repair but the dishwasher was complicated and took a long time to fix. Both the ice maker and dishwasher are working well and I am glad I got them fixed. I had been told by another repairman from another company that the dishwasher door ,which could brake your foot if it hit you, could not be fixed. The cables needed to be replaced.

The customer service is wonderful, very pleasant personnel. The wait time for service is over estimated. I called for an appointment in December, service on a new contract for a new home purchased, I was given a January 12th date. I am stuck with that being the fact that they make you pay before you can make an appointment. I haven't had services as of yet, however I hope it will be worth the wait.

When we first called, we were given a 4 hour window as to when they would be able to come. The serviceman arrived within the given time frame. We called them for the leaking valve and then asked them to look to see if there were any other issues that needed to be addressed right away. They did a check and found a few other things that needed some attention and we agreed to have some of the more pressing ones done at that time. They gave an approximate time that the job would take and a fee estimate. When the serviceman needed an additional part, another serviceman arrived with it shortly and then proceeded to help the first fellow finish up the job. We mentioned the senior citizen discount and it was applied to the cost of the entire job. Since our previous plumbing service is no longer doing residential work, we were looking to find someone to replace them. We were very satisfied with the work and the cost and will definitely use Universal Plumbing again in the future, when needed.

very good service. honest and reasonable. and when my wife asked a question about the dishwasher, he offered a solution at no extra charge. i thought it was very honorable. they had also helped me previously with oil to gas conversion and we had good experience at that time too.

They did a great service. Price wise they were okay too. One sales guys came out and 3 technicians came out to do the job. They delivered on what they promised and I have an extended service plan with them.

Have been using this business for many years, and maintain a service contract for my gas heater and a/c with them. They are always extremely honest and reliable. Have and would highly recommend this company.
