Great customer service and response to calls. Wonderful, polite, friendly repair people. But, it cost me $98 for a service call and follow-up visit to learn that the compressor was dying and I needed to buy a brand new refrigerator because it didn't make financial sense to buy a new compressor. Universe diagnosed this without ever taking the refrigerator apart, just by listening to it. Thought they might at least take the unit apart and see if there was something loose or repairable. $100 is a bit pricey for what they actually did.

REVISED review. After my initial review I was contacted by the customer service rep. And any disappointment I may have expressed was taken care of. As originally stated the tech was very well informed and extremely nice. This saved me a lot of money from the first plumber who looked at the job. I would've have given the customer service rep more than 5 stars but the system would not allow it. Thanks. Great experience over all.

The service tech was extremely nice and well informed. The only problem was that the did not carry the part that was needed for my repair. I had to buy the part myself and install it myself after paying for the service call. The service tech was very apologetic and stated that his company did not carry the part. Would I use them again. Yes. Just based on the other reviews and the fact that the tech knew what was wrong and what needed to be done. The last plumber I had regarding the issue talked about major repair and very costly. At least Universal was honest. Cost a few dollars.

After our repair was completely, the serviceman tested the machine only to find there were additional issues with our 30-year old gas clothes dryer. He recommended replacing the machine, which we are in the process of doing. He had devoted a good 1.5 hours and all we paid was the diagnostic fee. I really appreciated his honesty and professionalism. Thank you!

Two young men came at difference times for different projects. They were very knowledgable, very polite, and did the work immediately. So far everything seems great.

My clothes dryer could not be repaired due to a burned out motor and we were told to just replace it. though we were not happy to replace it, we p[referred being told the truth about the machine so that we did not spend money for the repair.

Diagnosed the problem, fixed it on the spot. Reasonably priced and came early on in 3 hour time window. Highly recommend!

Very nice company. We were going to have to wait a day for someone to come but they had a cancellation and were able to come that morning. He diagnosed the problem, told me how much and fixed it and a week later it works fine.
