Service was mediocre all summer. I had to call several times to say that the pool was not scrubbed properly on the ladder steps and on the sides. Also empty chlorine buckets were left on the side of the pool patio and not disposed of. My house was for sale (at the end of the summer) and I wanted my pool to look great for the few weeks left so if they could not come back fast enough I had to do it myself. I used this company on a weekly basis to maintain my pool all summer from April - early September. I didn't want to change mid-summer despite the bad service because I wanted a late Friday appt. so it would look best for the weekend and those times are hard to come by with new companies once the summer has started. Eventually, I called to have my pool closed and they were not available to do it for several weeks. Since we weren't going to swim in it anymore, I didn't want to spend the extra money to maintain it for the extra few weeks so I chose to close to pool with the help of my son and his friend who actually works as a pool maintenance person for several summers. NOW THEY ARE PUNISHING ME FOR NOT HAVING THEM CLOSE MY POOL and the owner Chris won't even return a phone call. That is totally unprofessional. Since I sold my house when the pool was already closed, some money was put in escrow till the pool was opened to ensure that it was in good working order. So J B was paid to open the pool (April 2017) at my suggestion, ( because they had maintained the pool all last year so I felt they should open the pool). After the pool was opened, I called asking for a letter stating that the pool was in good working order now. My phone calls go unanswered by the owner and the message from the secretary is that Chris won't give me a letter because he didn't close the pool last summer. This makes no sense since I am asking him to state whether the pool is in good working order now; having nothing to do with last year. But as I stated, he is punishing me. He is saying the pool needs acid washing which 1) was never recommended to me and 2) has nothing to do with the working order of the pool. As you see from the picture taken by neighbor THIS YEAR! (Trouble uploading pic- AL working to fix) My recommendation is DO NOT USE J B POOLS from Seaford. There are plenty of pool companies who will do a better job, and appreciate your business for what it is, and know that you are under no obligation to use them every single week, or to open or to close the pools. You should be able to use a pool company how you need to use them, as long as you pay their fee.
