I have a service contract. They do everything they need to do at that time. Mark Decquoy is the man who comes. He does such a great job. He is the team leader of service. He is superb. He has been with us since we first started with them.

We have dealt with them for years. We have a service contract with them, but I don't remember how much it costs for the year. They are reliable. The furnace and air-conditioner are well taken care of. The gentlemen are gentlemen. Our relationship goes back so many years that I don't remember how we found them. I guess everything is expensive today, so I would say I don't know about the price. We have to pay, but we get what we pay for, for the most part.

I would not recommend D.A. Bennett.

All equipment and lines were installed efficiently and accurately. Both sales and installation representative were quite forthcoming with information and assistance. All products are performing as expected. One strong positive: sales agent was clear, accurate, and open about need to install chimney liner with high-efficiency furnace---a necessity according to DOE (other contractors were FAR less forthcoming.) Only weakness is price, but confidence in products and professionalism of installation was worth it.

I believe that their install people as well as their service people are lovely. However, the system has required many service calls for a new system. So, as lovely as they are, we wish we didn't need to see them so often. Our sense is that in the two summers we have had it, it sort of required some service each time we actually tried to use it and the complexity of the system designed and suggested by Roland Downs may be working against it's reliability. Our prior house had a similar system in terms of equipment and size , but fewer zones and required almost no repairs (only annual maintenance) for over 15 years. I would be very clear on the final payment of a new install to understand fully the warranty information and associated costs for service calls.

They continue to have good performance. Their customer service is superb. They train their employees well. They are very efficient, clean, punctual, effective and they do what they say they will do. Their price is not the lowest but everything else is superior. Sometimes you get what you pay for.

The salesman I dealt with was very professional and friendly. He gave an estimate, and I decided to go with them based on their reputation. As it was beginning to get into the heating season, and I would potentially be without heat for a few days, he loaned me a couple of space heaters, which was great. They began work on a Thursday, and the salesman told me I would have "some" heat for the weekend, but that never happened. I just used the space heaters in the meantime, which was fine. It just bothered me that he had promised heat and then didn't come through. I didn't actually have working heat on the main living floor until the following Tuesday. Also, in removing the old oil furnace from the basement, they did some minor damage to my kitchen ceramic tiles. Other than things taking longer than they originally forecasted, and the little bit of damage, the overall experience was great.

I have lost all confidence in Roland J Downs. They serviced my heating and cooling systems for 8 years, and I used to have rapid response. Now I have NO response in over a month. How can I trust that they would be available in an emergency when I need rapid turn around. Too bad when a good company loses their personal customer service response. They've lost my business.

Excellent! I have recently been dealing numerous contractors prior to selling my house. Most of the experiences have been negative and less than professional and I have submitted reports to Angie's List regarding these experiences. But for those negative experiences, I probably would not have written this report, but now can truly appreciate the excellent service provided to me by Roland J. Downs. They are extremely professional, provide quality service, and I would recommend them to anyone. They have provided annual service calls for my over 50 year old furnace which continues to operate efficiently and reliably. They responded immediately when on one occasion the expansion tank had to be drained. The situation was stressful and everyone from the person who answered the phone to the repairman was polite, empathetic, professional and timely and better yet, they did not charge me for the service. To me that is very good business when service companies do the right thing just because it is the right thing to do. The serviceman that particular night, Doug, arrived quickly, addressed the problem immediately, took his time explaining to me what had happened and what he had done and then did not rush, but stayed to ensure everything was operating properly before he left. On another occasion I scheduled a consultant, Brian, to evaluate the system. He, too, was extremely polite, professional, punctual, and extremely helpful and accommodating. I really can not say enough good things about Roland J Downs. My experiences with them have been nothing but positive, they are an extremely professional and reasonably priced company.

They are very courteous. They always show up on time. They offer very reasonable prices. They provide quality work. They have been in business for a long time and are a very reputable company.

It was a good phone call. They were personable and friendly people. They came out promptly. They were good guys. They even told my husband what he could do to fix it himself.

Replaced a gas valve, but first thought it was another part that had gone bad. Then the valve they put in was defective so that the repair took all day. But they persisted until all was well. Very professional and punctual.

He wanted to replace the piping. It didn't need to be replaced. He knew that I was in a tight way financially. The service wasn't bad but he didn't offer a less expensive plan that would have fixed the problem. They were very nice and wonderful people.

Everything went great. From original estimate to installation. The installers were true pros and I felt very comfortable with them. The only minor complaint I have is that the sales person didn't follow up like he said he would. Not a big deal though. The company was responsive to questions and helpful when it came to making a decision about what brand/type should be installed.

They had very competitive rates because we did collect several estimates. they were the most reliable of the companies we contacted, always returning our calls and showing up when they said they would. They wore the booties while doing the work because they were coming in and out a lot. i would highly recommend!!!!

I can't say enough good things about this company. They are superb. They guarantee their work. Their crew are trained and knowledgeable. I will always use this company.

They were very professional and they did an excellent job. They were very neat and clean. They were easy to make an appointment with and they were there on time.

All the work they did was very professional from the initial measurements of the house through the estimate and then doing the actual work. They responded to my questions, looked at various options, and finally redid the quote using a different manufacturer. The work was started on time and completed on time. The installers were neat, made good suggestions to improve the piping layout, and the workmanship was very good. We are still waiting to learn if the high efficiency furnace will save us enough money to justify its cost.

I like this company. I did a long contract with them because they are so good. They are not cheap but the work they do is quite impressive. They had put in my furnace too. They could improve their rates a little but keep doing the same great work and I'd be totally happy about that.

The training this company does as far as their employees go, is so impressive. They are always right on time. They do excellent work and if they tell you a system will save you energy, it sure will. We are thrilled with this place to be frank. They do exactly what they say and we also use them for ongoing maintenance of our systems and they're just as good with that.

Down's is a very good service. They are courteous and always call before coming. They do their work fast, efficient and have a great reputation in the area. They have the best customer service I have ever seen.

Roland J. Down Incorporated is a very responsive air conditioning contractor. We think their way of doing business is super. We have an annual contract with them, so if anything goes wrong they come immediately to fix the problem. That is the thing I like best about them. They are very courteous and professional, as well.

Bruce Frasier was excellent. They did a fair job. The minor complaints I had, they came back and took care of. The also installed a hot air system in my rental home.

When we moved to our new home, we bought a new gas furnace from DA Bennett. It's been reliable for over 10 years now. The installation went smoothly. Each year they follow up with an inspection and a cleaning of the furnace. It's a reasonable price to make sure that everything is in working order. They remind us when it's time for the service. They come when promised and do a good job. No complaints.

My husband and I are VERY happy with the work and the plumbers' friendly and helpful attitudes. Dean even came to replace the faucet at 6 pm one night because my mother-in-law was due to arrive the next day. It was an extra tough job due to the quirks of our old house, but he kept at it until it was done around 9 pm and didn't charge extra. Similarly Mark had a tougher than expected job, but didn't charge extra. I'm told that D.A. Bennett is slightly more expensive than some other plumbers, but we think it is worthwhile to pay more for good service. Anyhow, Preston Home Repair gave us a lot of headaches(hired by my Mom through the local big box store Lowe's) and their price the replace a toilet was not much less. Initially, I called D.A. Bennett a few days after moving into our new house because we had the leaking pipe and electrical short. We were panicking and they were the only plumbers who called back. Since then, we haven't hired anyone else for our plumbing emergencies.
