I have never seen such a professional job done on tree trimming. I had a lot taken off, ot is half the size, made it a great shape to maintain the tree like look. Clean up all debis, tree looks great, have aigned them up already for 2 uears ahead to do it again.

Our ground did not freeze last winter so it caused them lots of problems because they were trying not to leave ruts in the yard. They put plywood over the lawn so they could drive this giant tractor/ crane in the yard. They had about eight people working here. It was amazing. They got it all done in one day, but it was like this giant army of wood cutters and things. They were very efficient in getting the trees down and they did leave ruts in the yard but they did everything they could to not do it. I think they were a little pricey, but everybody in the neighborhood uses them -- they are local.

Terrible customer service by the woman who answers the phone, if you can get her because all you get is the answering machine and they do not return phone calls. It was so frustrating dealing with them that even though the price was OK and the workers that came did a great job, I would never recommend them or use them again. It was about 2 months of waiting for two trees, including stumps, to be completed. We were told it would be completed in 2 weeks. They also ran their stump machine into the aluminum trim, so that had to be replaced. Way too aggravating.

We had a big windstorm. They went up to the tips of branches that were not live and cut them so they would not come down during the Summer. They were smart enough to wait until Spring when things were becoming green so they could tell what was alive and what was dead - so they knew what to cut. They didn't leave any trash behind and came when they said they would.

D & L removed all trees from side and backyard (about 3 dozen) and ground down all stumps. They leveled everything and cleaned up after themselves. I am very satisfied with their work.

Very efficient tree cutting and removal of limbs performed by a large crew of approximately 9 workers. Used plywood sheets to protect lawn when heavy bucket trucks and wood choppers were on property. Also some additional tree trimming was performed upon our request without any additional charge. D&L subcontracted stump grinding, which was performed exceptionally well. Final cleanup by D&L workers, after stumps were ground, was not as smooth as expected, but still acceptable.

D and L arrived on time and they arrived in force. I counted approximately 10 -12 workers, a crane, a bucket truck, and chipper. They needed to maneuver around power lines, septic system, and my home. They managed all of these with no problems at all. Even with the heavy equipment there was no damage to my yard, which is primarily composed of a sandy soil and usually shows damage easily. They were very respectful, explained how they were going to approach the job and didn't even mind me taking pictures. I most definitely recommend this company!!!

The crew arrived as scheduled and went right to work. It took about 7 hours to complete the work. The crew was friendly and professional. The trees that they removed were very large (a maple and an oak, both probably more than 50 years old) and we live in a neighborhood without a lot of space between houses, but they were very careful to take down the trees safely and efficiently. It was an impressive process to watch, and at no time did I feel like anything was being done in an unsafe or questionable manner. They removed all of the debris, raking up our yard and taking away/mulching all of the wood and branches. They left the remnants of the ground-down stumps, as we had arranged in advance for them to do. (We used this as fill in leveling out parts of the yard after the trees were removed, so this worked out well for us.) The trucks did make some minor damage to the lawn, but the workers put down wood planks to drive on and that really minimized the damage and prevented ruts. This was appreciated, and we did expect there to be some damage to the lawn, after all. You can't drive several large vehicles into your backyard without some damage, but they worked hard to make sure it was as minor as possible. We got several quotes before scheduling the tree removal and this was the best price, and I'm very glad we went with them because the work was done well and the price was very reasonable considering how much work went into this project. We have more trees we'd like to take down in the next year or two, and we will most definitely call D&L to do that job, too. I would recommend them to others.

Dand L crew,and equipment arrived at my residence,set up truck crane,chipper truck.Half way into the task ,While swinging the crane boom toward the road,the boom became electified by the high-tension power lines,two Dand L employees received electrical shock,ambulance called, transported employees to Albany Hospital.There after I hired another Tree service company , job was completed without incident

I called them in August, and they came out the next business day. They were prompt and gave me a fair estimate, but did say that it would be 6-8 weeks before they could perform the service. I never heard from them after 2 months, so I called again to get an estimate for a 2nd tree in my yard that was dying. Again, they came out the next business day to add to my original estimate. They said I was on the schedule and would have both the trees down within the next 2 weeks, as they would be in my area. I waited over a month and didn't hear anything, so I called them in the beginning of November. I received a call back where they told me it would now be done in February. I said that wouldn't work for me since I wanted the trees down before the winter storms hit and they would call me back. I never got a call back. I called them and left a message to remove me from their schedule, and I still never received a call back. I understand that they are busy and backed up, but don't tell me 6-8 weeks when you really mean 5 months. The reason I initially called them was because I had 3 different people recommend me to them (outside of Angie's list), so I had heard really positive things about the company. I'm sure they are good, but I was disappointed with their response and timing. I went with another tree service who was able to take my trees down within 2 weeks and they completed the service.

Little slow getting started after I accepted the bid. They had fallen behind schedule because of the very wet spring. Let us know the day before that we were on the schedule. Crew and equipment arrived right on schedule. Placed plywood all across the lawn so the heavy equipment would do no damage. Had a plan and moved methodically. The trees were on the property line and close to the house and power lines and the trees were removed with no issues. Constant cleanup took place during the day. Put in a good 10 hour day to complete the job that day. Will definitely have them back.

There work was well choreographed, done in an extremely neat manner, quickly executed and the work area was left in a spotlkess condition.

After a little delay due to a rainy Spring; they came, they removed the tree, they left no mess. Perfect.

I like them he is wonderful he did exactly what he said he was going to do when he was going to do it. He cleaned up after himself. I would highly recommend him to anyone, very professional very neat and clean. He was well spoken.

A little slow in showing up to do work. I think they commit to a bit more work than they really can manage. Otherwise excellent job. Trees were neatly removed without any damage to property and cleanup was excellent. Workers were polite and friendly. I have been using this outfit for my tree work for 20+ years and have always been satisfied with their performance. I would recommend them without any reservation.

I would not recommend them. Initially it started out OK, I called them for an estimate and some one came out within a couple of days. They said they were working 6-8 weeks out so I did not call until the seventh week. Called on 3 different days, and could not get a call back. I gave up...about 10 weeks out, they called and said maybe they could come out that Saturday. I told them to forget it, I had called someone else, because they could not return any phone calls. No apology, for not returning calls, nothing but a snotty, "Well OK then..."

Dand L came out one Wednesday night after a fierce wind storm which broke a limb on my maple. The did a great job. So, when I wanted to have the rest of the maple removed, I called Dand L. They had all the big equipment, left a bunch of wood for me that I can handle for firewood, and took the rest away. They also took off a willow branch that had partially broken. They were on time, did a thorough job cleaning up, and were very pleasant to work with. The cleaning up part was a welcome surprise, as I hadn't discussed it with them beforehand. Highly recommended.

They were very professional and arrived early with several workers. They carefully removed limbs that were hanging over our roof and blocking our vision. They worked neatly and efficiently and cleaned everything up spotlessly. We would highly recommend them to anyone. The price was reasonable and they were cordial and communicative. Excellent company.

They were doing work for one of my neighbors, and I had asked them to come over and trim my trees. The reason I asked them to come over because they were being very considerate of my neighbor's garden. They guided the limbs down gingerly, rather than letting them fall as they would to damage the property. They were very nice and professional, and I would use them again and again.
