WAYNE'S PLUMBING & HEATING

Came out to look @ a couple leeks on a property I was listing for a client. Did nothing but ran water for two minutes, found no leak & left. Was @ property for less than 20 minutes. Then someone from office rudely called wondering where payment of $150 was just to look @ a faucet & found nothing. I asked them to please follow up with owners on leak and no one called to follow up but still demanded payment.

He came to the property. I was under the assumption he was going to do the water pressure testing upon arrival since that's all I needed and discussed with him. NOPE. Instead he charged me $120 to look at the property the only time he showed up. Said he would be back 4 days later to do the test I needed. Since my amazing general contractor recommended him, I went with it despite my own bad vibe. Said he would be back 4 days later. Cancelled. Then text back n forth. Final conversation I mentioned I was under a deadline. He said laughing n rudely, not my problem. Hmmmm. Take my money but don't do any service. Nightmare. Not only did he mess up my deadline for the bank and take advantage of me but he also was rude. Insult to injury. Do not hire this guy. Very upsetting

I hired this company to install a water tank as they came in with the lowest quote, and I was going to hire them to install a water pump as well on the assumption that their rates would be on the lower end for this as well. However after 3-4 missed appointments, having to follow up with them time and time again to remind them about said appointments, a series of flippant phone calls and text messages, and one final unbelievable conversation with Wayne (I called HIM to confirm the appointment, he again said that he again wouldn’t make it, and when I confronted him about this being a chronic issue he began berating me and saying that he did “all kinds of things for free” and that it was my “fault” for buying a house with these issues), I stopped pursuing them and went with another company. The other company ended up being $100 cheaper and infinitely more professional and pleasant to work with. Wayne's rudeness and lack of professionalism was astounding. I will never work with them again.

Wayne and his associate worked incredibly fast to replace my water heater. It only took them about an hour. They saved me $400 over the next best estimate I got! I would hire them again in a heartbeat, and I highly recommend them to anyone.

Wayne gave good advice in selection of replacement unit, came on time,,,same day...and did a fine job.

It went great. I was at my wits end, had a shower poorly installed that fixed none of the problems. The drain still leaked from upstairs into my living room, and my brand new faucet was leaking. In addition, the water from the faucet alternated hot and cold water. I called Wayne's Plumbing, and was told that they would look at it. They got here when they said they would be, and had both problems diagnosed and fixed within 2 hours. They definitely do like to talk and joke, but it was all family friendly and not once did they stop working to fix my situation. They put me at ease, not with their chatting, but by the obvious expertise they exhibited. I wish I had called them in the first place, it would have saved me a lot of wasted cash. I was so impressed, I asked them about doing another project in my house, and as soon as my GF and I figure out the details of what we want, I will be calling Wayne again!

Well, Wayne the plumber was actually recommend by my mother-in-law and when I saw him on Angie's list we contacted him. The house we recently bought is 97 years old and the plumbing needed to be upgraded. He arrived on time for the estimate and gave us a quote of 600 dollars plus 300 dollars for parts, and said not once but four times that the job would be completed in 3 hours. He and his partner showed up on Wednesday 30 minutes late, they worked on some stuff, took an extended lunch and left at 4PM without the job being complete. Way advised that he would be back in the morning at 9am, he showed up at 9:17and told me that he had to drop off water heaters somewhere else and would be back in 30-45 minutes later (he was supposed to start at 9AM, he did not start until after 11AM. He and his partner worked until 1230 and took another extended lunch, they completed the 3 hour job in about 13 hours, they did not clean up their mess and ruined the dryer vent hose on the dryer. The washer was leaking and I had to call in a repair order for it. When I contacted him he became defensive and tried to blame the problems on me and the condition of the house, and tried to accuse me of taking advantage of him and his services that he did not bill me for. Wayne was also very unprofessional in the fact that all he wanted to do was talk about his and quot;rock bandand quot; and that he was a recovering alcoholic. There were endless in-depth conversations on his part about these topics. The end result is this: I still have toilets that do not work properly, I had to pay an additional repair bill, I had to purchase dryer hose to replace the one that was damaged, and my husband had to go in and brace up the tubing that was put in because he left it unsupported. He was quick to remove the copper tubing and the galvanized pipe but left an incredible mess behind. I will never use this company again.

The first time I had Wayne come for repairs he came on time and did a good job ,however he was not able to give me a receipt for payment, I was told he did not have his receipt book, and he would drop it off the next day. He never did bring me the receipt. After several phone calls and an offer to pick it up myself he always made excuses. The following year I called him for an estimate to have work done and during the phone call he put me on hold as he needed to speak to some one. I could hear him talking to his wife.He had me on the line for more than ten minutes . I finally I hung up, never to call back again.

Existing water heater was leaking. Purchased 40 gal water tank through Home Depot ($525) which was installed promptly and professionally within a few hours by Wayne. Friendly and efficient. Old tank removed and area cleaned up - no mess, no fuss. I would definitely recommend to others.

Careful work, pleasant to work with, returned calls promptly, hope to use again for additional work.

Wayne responded immediately and was there the next morning. He fixed the toilet, having to go out and get some parts himself. He gave us his professional plunger to use, and also unclogged a sink that has not been working right for years. Everything works great now and I thought the price was reasonable for his time. Very personable too. He is our go to guy for plumbing and heating issues.

Called Wayne and he was at the house within an hour to check out the job. Very knowledgeable and had the job done within 5 hours of our call. Thats the way it should be

Left a message for Wayne, and he called back within minutes. Stopped in with his co-worker one hour after said call as promised and had the job (replacing electric water heater and auxiliary circulating pump) done quickly and professionally. The price was a bit more than I had expected, but all in all very happy with the job.

We have a house built in the 1920's with original plumbing. The shower in one bathroom no longer mixed the hotand cold water to a comfortable temp and the valve needed to be replaced. The old piping configuration in the walls also needed to be replaced, as it was not compatible with modern fixtures. We called Wayne on a Friday afternoon to request a quote. He showed up Saturday morning, as promised, explained the necessary work and provided a quote. Three days later, Wayne and assistant arrived and performed the work as described, cleaned up their mess and left. Wayne was professional, friendly, and courteous at all times. We will continue to use him for our plumbing work.

He is always quite reliable and pretty quick coming for his work. He is a very pleasant person, and I have a lot of confidence in him. I would use him again in the future if necessary.

We had other estimates and their price was much better than any other estimate.

A little eccentric, but seems to have good values and is very knowledgeable about plumbing. He and his crew do a great job. Very reasonably priced. Would highly recommend and will use in the future for home and rental units.

Overall, Wayne did a fine job and I would contract with him again. As I mentioned above, Wayne has a lot of work so some scheduling flexibility is helpful. One of the advantages to working with Wayne is that he is licensed in both Schenectady and Albany. That will save you a lot of money. Wayne's permit fee was about $30. Plumbers who do not have an Albany city license will charge you about $300 for the local permit!

We called another guy we used before but he never followed up. We saw Wayne's rating on Angie's list and decided to give him a call on Sunday night. He called back before we could finish leaving a message! He said he could come Tuesday morning, but an emergency came up and we had to reschedule for Wednesday. He showed up promptly, assessed what needed to be done, and completed the job in about 2 hrs. He will definitely be our new "Go to Guy"!

He did a very good job. He realized the situation and fixed it quickly. He was pleasant and prompt.

He showed up late the first couple of times he came to my house. When he did arrive, the work he did was very good. The clean up he did was also really good. I would definitely use him again if he could get here on time. That being said, I cannot rate him as high as I would like to.

I called Wayne at 3:30 on a Friday afternoon, when our kitchen faucet and sink began to leak uncontrollably. He was finishing a job nearby and showed up at our house 30 minutes later. He identified the problem within minutes and told me that we needed to get a new faucet that evening, and he would return at 7 am on Saturday morning to install it. As good as his word, Wayne was at our house on time the next morning and finished the installation. We have used him ever since on jobs of all sizes.
