It was fine, i don't really have a problem with the company. I knew where the issue was and just caulked it myself. Just wanted to save myself the trouble of going on the roof.

Tom from Ultimate Roofing arrived on time as promised to inspect my roof. We are getting the house ready for sale and wanted to have the roof looked at to avoid any unneeded stress when we do sell. Tom provided pictures of the roof, checked the attic for any issues and let us know that it was still in good condition. He did inform us about repairs that were needed for our chimney and provided pictures to back up his assessment. Tom was very forthright and professional...providing options about how we should handle the chimney repairs. Given our experience with Ultimate roofing, we may turn to them again for the repair of the chimney. Thanks again for the quality service!

I felt that Tom presented himself in a very professional manner. He showed up on time, and got right to work. He explained after his inspection that he caulked around the chimney flashing and inspected the various roofing areas. He indicated that the house and garage roofs were still in acceptable condition, but the porch roof was in rough shape and should probably be re-shingled. I'm currently working with Tom to schedule the work. Explanation of Quality Rating: (NA) It is difficult for me to fully assess the quality of an inspection, as I do not have the expertise for this. Tom will likely be performing additional roofing work on my porch, which should indicate to those interested that he made a positive impression, and I am pursuing additional service from him. If there is an additional opportunity to review Tom on the porch roofing, I will make additional comments at that point, which will include a quality rating.

I purchased a $79.00 "roof tune up" package from Ultimate Roofing on 4/10/2014. Arrangements were made to meet Tom on 4/17/2014 at my house...he showed up promptly at 9am (my appointment was scheduled for between 10 and 11am) and Tom was very cordial and friendly. He asked me if I had any roof problems and I told him yes, there was a small leak through my garage rear entrance door. He and I proceeded up the ladder onto my flat roof. I made him aware of my concerns for the original roof installation and we talked mostly about possible ideas of why and fixes for the same. He asked basic questions about the roof...how old etc... He thoroughly explained different types of roofs, the applications, new ways of installing roofs and in a very friendly way we were passing time discussing the possibility of replacing my flat rubber roof. As we were preparing to get off the roof, Tom pointed out an area that he said was the cause of my garage door leak . The rubber was deteriorated and obviously cracked in places where it could leak. As a result of a discussion between myself, my wife and Tom we asked that Tom give us an estimate to A) replace the entire rubber roof and B) the cost to repair the areas in question. He measured everything, we talked a bit more and I showed him inside the house where my issues of concern were. At that point he said he had the measurements and would get back to me with an estimate. He gave me a business card, we shook hands, he told me he would get back to me in a couple of days and he left. I waited one week and on Thursday April 24, I called Ultimate and got a voice machine...I left a detailed message that covered everything that was discussed and HEARD NOTHING back. I repeated the phone call on April 25 with THE SAME RESULTS (heard nothing). Did not call over the weekend and then on Monday April 28, Tom answered the phone, I told him who I was and he said "OH HI, I WAS JUST GOING TO CALL YOU". He told me that he had gotten my messages and so I asked him if he had the estimate. Apparently he wasn't prepared to give it to me and he said that he "WOULD CALL ME LATER TONIGHT". Today is April 30 and I have not heard from Tom OR anyone else affiliated with Ultimate Roofing. Suffice it to say that I am extremely disappointed with Ultimate Roofing and I paid $79.00 for a consultation about work THAT WON'T HAPPEN. I am EQUALLY DISAPPOINTED WITH ANGIE'S LIST...this is an A+ contractor and maybe this is the most unusual case ever BUT for my first time - my first impression is fairly dim on Angie and her list! I am cancelling my subscription ASAP...some deal At $12.00 bucks for the year - you get what you pay for and I am out about $91.00...but got a million dollar education. Very pleased with Ultimate Roofing. The roof came out great and exceeded expectations. Tom took the time to explain and show me everything he did before putting on the shingles. The final product looks great. Overall very satisfied. Thank you.

He repaired the minor things he found HE arrived when he said he would and did the 79.00 roof inspection. He repaired the minor things he found. He also showed me a photo of the bath roof vent seal which was torn and leaking. He gave me an estimateof 120.00 to replace it and returned and replaced it. I am very pleased with this company.

The appointment was set up very quickly. Tom arrived on time today, took care of the above-mentioned work, and left his card for us to call if we had any other problems. He was very polite and professional; and if I have need for a roofer, I would be sure to call Ultimate Roofing. I certainly would recommend this company.

I am very pleased with Ultimate Roofing! I called them this morning after discovering water dripping between the storm window and inside window. It was starting to damage woodwork and paint. We had 24" of snow a few days ago, but since it had been very very cold, there was no ice dam until the temperatures moderated. I had been watching icicles developing for several days, and had the buildup continued, we would have had water within the wall, the insulation, and wet sheetrock and plaster, because there was a lot of snow still on the roof. I called Tom at Ultimate Roofing based on a very positive review by another Angie's List member. Tom was very courteous and said he would come the same day, which he did a couple of hours later, arriving with another equally courteous and friendly employee. Tom gave me a very reasonable estimate, and the pair got to work. They not only removed the snow that I had asked them to remove, but removed a lot more. Because the estimate had been very reasonable, I added 20% as a tip although in no way was additional payment suggested by them. They also didn't try to sell a roofing job for the future! I'd hire them again without hesitation.

They showed up promptly. Did an excellent job, including extra work around skylights and other areas that had previously tended to develop leaks. Also cleaned up well afterwards. I don't know if the Schenectady firm is the same one (moved to a different location), or if this is a franchise with more than one operator.

they came and had the old roof removed and the new roof on within a few hours and had everything cleaned up. They did very good work.

I CALLED MANY DIFFERENT COMPANIES FOR ESTIMATES. I FINALLY CALLED ULTIMATE ROOFING, SAW THEIR TRUCK ON THE ROAD. I CALLED AND LEFT A MESSAGE, HE RESPONDED VERY QUICKLY AND SAME NIGHT CAME OUT AND DID THE ESTIMATE. HE EXPLAINED EXACTLY WHAT HE WOULD DO AND GAVE ME A PRICE. HIS PRICE WAS VERY REASONABLE COMPARED TO OTHER ESTIMATES. A WEEK LATER, HE AND HIS CREW CAME TO PATCH UP MY ROOF, CLEAN THE GUTTERS AND REMOVE TREES AND DEBRIS FROM THE ROOF. THEY CAME ON TIME AND WERE VERY FRIENDLY. THEY FIRST CLEANED EVERYTHING OFF AND THEN STARTED TO FIX AND PATCH THE ROOF. I WAS IMPRESSED HOW QUICKLY THEY FINISHED THE ROOF. AFTER THAT THEY CLEANED THE GUTTERS. AFTER THEY WERE DONE THEY SHOWED ME AND EXPLAINED WHAT THEY HAVE DONE. THEY CLEANED UP VERY WELL AFTER COMPLETION. GREAT JOB!!!!!!!
