The inspection report was professional, thorough and outlined such that my family and I could clearly see/understand the information, the results contained. We have used The Home Detective Home Inspection for (3) inspections now. If/when we go to buy another house we are calling Joseph. Joseph (Joe) is very thorough at his job. I asked him from the first time we met that he be up front with anything that he finds. I said if there is a doubt that something is not up to code I want to know about it, I'd rather address right away than wait for it to become a problem later. The reports he provides are VERY detailed with pictures, explanations as to what is an immediate need to remediate, and what should be addressed before it becomes a problem. Everything went well. Joe was professional and courteous and thoroughly explained everything he was doing and was very knowledgeable in potential problems that were discovered. He also provides discounts to military veterans, which is awesome. I would gladly recommend him to anyone looking for a home inspector.

I made an appointment with Joe from the Home Detective Inspection Service on a Tuesday afternoon. He was able to secure an appointment to inspect the home I was purchasing for that upcoming Friday. His arrival was punctual, and the first thing I noticed when he came to the door was that he had a second pair of shoes in his hand to change into after he inspected the exterior of the home, before inspecting the interior. Joe's three hour inspection for my 800 square foot home was very thorough and exceeded my expectations of what I thought a home inspection entailed. He was very happy to answer any questions and made sure to discuss any and quot;red flagsand quot; that popped up during the inspection, no matter how big or small the repair would be. Do not worry about bringing a pen or note pad! This company provided me with a 40-page detailed PDF file with photos and summaries of the whole appointment. The first page or two, highlighted any crucial deficiencies or recommendations to address. I highly recommend this company to anyone looking for an inspector that is professional and knowledgeable. You can tell that Joe is passionate about his line of business and as a result, you will receive a friendly and pleasurable experience. All went well. The inspector was polite and explained each area of the home carefully while pointing out issues that needed additional attention.

Joe was great! He took the time to give a thorough, detailed inspection! He was prompt and courteous and offered a lot of advice and suggestions along the way! I would highly recommend him for your home inspection!

Joe walked us through the property, first the outside (yard, siding, roof, deck, porch) and then the inside. He mentioned and noted areas of concern, explained why they were concerning and explained solutions. He tested every outlet, light, appliance and drawer. He checked the garage, basement, and attic in addition to every other room in the house. After finding some mold in the attic he also suggested a specialist who provided us with an estimate. He also performed a radon inspection in the basement. Both the radon report and the inspection report were sent to us in a very timely manner (2-3 days). The inspection report was very detailed, spelled out every area of concern, included whether the area was something in need of service. The report contained photographs of the specific areas of concern which were very helpful. Without question Joe/The Home Detective was fantastic. He was knowledgeable, patient, and very thorough. I would (and have) recommend him to anyone in need of a home inspection.
