Description of Work: Bathroom tub had a leak -unknown source. Pete found the source immediately (tub overflow) and quickly assessed the problem and repaired the leak. He showed me the problem and replaced seals and washer and also sealed with silicone. It's an old tub and Pete let me know that I may eventually need to replace the entire overflow assembly but it's holding now with no leaks and I am very grateful. Pete also reset/tightened the toilet that had loosened up.

Description of Work: I've used Pete before and I had another problem with the same tub that Pete had repaired the overflow on. This time my old tub had a problem with the shower valve. Pete rebuilt the valve.

Description of Work: There was a increasingly slow kitchen drain due to some unknown clogging deep in the lines. It was impossible to use the dishwasher without water backing up and out of the pipes. Pete came over the same day that I first called him (less than an hour after we spoke about the problem). He looked at the layout of the pipelines (including down through the basement to show me where the lines connected and what he intended to do). He quoted me a price up front (which I was pleased with). He brought in his own lighting and cover for the kitchen floor, and used a motorized unit to "rooter" the drain all the way down through the basement lines, clear to the other side of the building. He then checked the adequacy of the cleaning several times--making sure an entire sink would drain quickly and that it even "sounded" right. He also explained how he could tell how many clogged spots he encountered by the sound and response of the machinery. He cleaned everything up--you couldn't tell anyone had been working there.

Description of Work: We had a sluggish drain in our tub and also a part was missing from the drain. He replaced the needed part cleaned and cleaned the drain.

Description of Work: We had a slow drain in the kitchen all of a sudden and Drano did not work multiple times so we called a few places for estimates. Pete was the most reasonable, in fact hundreds cheaper than the rest. He showed up today on time, came in and looked around and then gave me a price for snaking the drain. He went ahead and laid out covering for the floor and then got to work. He cleaned up the area afterwards and ran the water 3 times to make sure he had done the job correctly. He cleaned out any buckets he used to catch water and was very polite. His number didn't change when he was done and the job was done impeccably. I would surely hire him again. In and out within 45minutes!

Description of Work: Pete took care of 2 seperate bathroom problems in one afternoon. A loose faucet and leak in one. The other there was no hot water coming thru, he replaced the complete fixture and some piping. Now have hot water again.

Description of Work: Pete installed new pipes and valves to connect the incoming water supply (from the street) to an outdoor faucet used for watering my lawn. He arranged the valves so that I can use either the water coming in from my well or the house water supply that comes from the street.

Description of Work: Pete replaced our kitchen faucet and installed a whole house water filter. He was very prompt in his response and completed the work that same day. He was very professional and thorough in all aspects of the installation. Would definitely use his services again and highly recommend him.

Description of Work: I called Pete the Plumber on 5/21/12 based on the recommendations I had read about him on Angie's list. He answered the phone the first time I called. I asked him if he would be willing to come and examine my six year old pull out style kitchen faucet in which the spigot moved with increasing difficulty and a black gritty material was coming from its base.. I also asked him to check the kitchen sink faucet in the in-law suite that occasionally leaked drops of water from around the base of the spigot. Pete indicated that he would stop by that very same day if he could to take a look at both but would call first. He called me later that morning to tell me that he would be able to come that very afternoon and arrived when he said he would. He examined both faucets and told me my kitchen faucet definitely needed to be replaced but that the one in the in-law suite did not need to be at this time.. He informed me that finding a pull out bisque colored faucet (my sink and all the built in kitchen appliances are bisque), to replace the one I had might prove to be difficult due to the color not being popular any longer. He told me that he would have his plumbing supplier help him try to locate one. He also recommended that I check online and advised me that if I found a Moen or a Kohler one that I liked to purchase it and he would install it for me. That very afternoon Pete called me from the plumbing supply company to tell me that they were looking to obtain a bisque colored pull out style faucet for me. By Tuesday 5/22 they had found a model that would match my sink and all my built in kitchen appliances which Pete felt was a good quality product He quoted me the price of it ($235.00) and I authorized him to go ahead and order it. He told me that it would be in on Thursday afternoon 5/24 and that he would be able to install it on Friday morning 5/25 which he did. Pete is a dedicated professional who truly knows and understands his trade. He was respectful of my home, especially my hard wood kitchen floors, and protected them along with the entire work area by using drop cloths and plastic and cleaned up afterwards. He did a great job installing the new faucet despite having to work around plumbing openings in the kitchen cabinetry that were cut far too large when the first faucet was installed by the builder duriing construction six years ago. I would not hesitate to call him again for he is a pleasure to work with. I also recommended Pete to my neighbors who had a different plumbing problem which he repaired. They also were very pleased with the job he had done for them.
