I thought the price was a little cheap. I have one of those taller toilets and the area was small that he worked. He put in a gas line into my house last year because I wanted a gas stove and I found that reasonable. I figured that he knew what he was doing. I found him on Angie's List.

He is great. He was just two minutes late. But usually he is very prompt and he is on time. He is very thorough. He has put in a new sink and vanity in my bathroom a few years ago. This time he followed the leaking radiator two storeys and went down to the furnace. He changed the glass tube on the furnace and decreased the pressure a little bit. He really fine tuned the system. He also had his helper with him. So I got to work with two people for $172. I have had people work in my house who were not licensed. I knew that Pat was a licensed plumber. So I wanted to have a professional and not just somebody who knew all about this and that. He was a licensed plumber which was important to me and I knew his reputation in the community over the years. He is a good person. He immediately emailed me and we set up the time. He was there when he said he would be. He is very dependable. He acts like a professional instead of a workman.

I was satisfied with the work and will use them again in the future.

I have used him several times for work around my home. He is very good and very personable. The quality of work he does is wonderful and he is prompt. His prices are very reasonable. I will continue to use him in the future.

I would tell others that he did a fine job. He was on time, did what he was supposed to do and did it fine.

Called and left a message in the late morning. He returned my call early that same afternoon. I told him I had a leaking main shut off valve. We made an appointment for following Thursday between 10am and 2pm. I asked if he was coming for an estimate or could he do the work then. He said if the estimate was accepted he could do it then. I stayed home from work the following Thursday. At 1:37 that afternoon, he called to say he was running late and would not be able to make it until 3 or 3:30 and he asked if that would be alright. I said it had to get done. He arrived about 3:45. He apologized for being late. I was a little perturbed but he stated he was working to cover the holiday so I didn't say anything. We went into the basement and I showed him the shut off valve and he gave me an estimate of $250 and I said to getter done. I left him to do his job and went back up stairs. He fought with the town shut off in the yard for a while and after he finally got it shut off he went to work on the valve in the basement. About an hour later the job was complete. He called me down to take a look and presented the invoice for $237 with tax. Less than what he had originally estimated. He was very pleasant throughout the experience; I would definitely recommend Patrick Mahoney to anyone who asks. His tardiness is rated C but stuff happens and I am sure he doesn't make a habit of it.

It went very well. Pat was on time both times (for troubleshooting/estimate and repair), was courteous and got the job done!

I called alnd left a message with his service and he called me back later that day. Scheduled the work for a few days later and he showed up exactly as scheduled and did the job.

returned call promptly and came within a few days. Assessed situation and did the work. water flowed much better after their work. Was only in the house 1/2 hour so charge was high but that's plumbers - gave a general bill - not itemized. WOuld use again for minor problems but he didn't know anything about my well water pump which I thought was strange.

I thought it went ok until I told my father (A PLUMBER!) the price and he almost had a heart attack. He couldn't believe how much Mr. Maloney had overcharged me! I checked the price with another plumber in the area wondering if the price difference was due to the fact that my father lives in VT and I live in NY, but the local plumber told me he usually charges $175 for that. Also mr. Maloney told me it would be 250 and he ran into nothing extra but suddenly the next day when he did the work it was 350. Guess it is because I was a woman without heat. Oh well I will know better next time!

Easy and nice to schedule. Showed up on time and did a really neat and professional job and came across as a nice gentleman as well

They cleared the clog and cleaned up the bulk of the mess. They then reattached everything solidly - no leaks. It took about 35 minutes. I'm very happy with the result.

THis was a very quirky job in that my shower door just fell off one day--Pat, of course, rose to that occasion and found a way to get it re-installed so that it is now secure and I do not worry about getting into the shower.

Went well, just took a little longer than maybe it could have.

We are so pleased! He was able to come over the next day, as we requested and at a time that worked for us. He was polite and completed the job efficiently. All issues were fixed. What a great experience!

Returned my call promptly, came and gave an estimate and said he'd do the work the next day. Came the next day and did the job promptly. Charged me what he said he would. Very courteous. The only minor issue is that he didn't sweep up the dust, etc. much afterward, but this is indeed a minor complaint. I'd use him again.

After shutting off the water inside my house with the main water shut off valve, the valve started leaking, very slowly. About 12 oz. per month. Regardless, I felt it should be replaced. I called Patrick and he wasn't able to perform the work until 10 days after the call. He came and turned off the main water shut off valve outside the house in the yard. Then came in the house and removed the old water shut off valve inside the house. The valve itself is in a hard to reach place, but he tackled it without a problem. He had to use a torch to get the old housing off. He replaced it with a new valve and it is very nice. He came in and knew what he was doing and took about 1.5 hours to finish. Nice work.

Our hot water tank was leaking. He came promptly when he said he would. He redid the pilot lights and gave us advice about it. He worked on one of our toilets. He was very professional and very positive. He did not end up doing much but the quality of what he did was good. Our regular plumber was not available but had given us the name of this plumber. We paid him whatever is the standard fee for a service call.

He came quickly, fixed the problem, checked for other issues and was pleasant as could be. We had just moved into our place a couple of days prior when we had this problem, we selected him from Angies List and he's the guy we call from now on.

I called around 8:00 in the AM and got a person on the line. They said they would come over this morning. They arrived after 9:00, went upstairs and power snaked the bowl and cleared whatever deep clog there was. He was a very nice gentleman and the experience was good.

I had a tub stopper that hadn't worked properly in years. I'd pull the lever up to keep the tub from draining and it worked somewhat, but I always had to add a rubber stopper, too, as it leaked. Well, one day out of the blue, I pushed the lever down to make the tub drain and there was a snapping sound, as if it were breaking, and the lever didn't work anymore. The real kicker was that now the tub didn't drain at all; it was a perfect seal! I unscrewed the stopper mechanism from the wall and pulled it out to see if it was broken, i.e. if a piece of it had fallen into the drain, but it appeared to be intact. After a few days of bailing out the tub after every shower and bath, hoping it would fix itself (where are those good gremlins when you need them?), I decided to call a plumber. I found Mr. Maloney's business here on Angie's List, and since the reviews were pretty good and he is located not far from my home, I decided to give him a try. I called, we set up a date for him to come check it out. He offered to come that afternoon, but my schedule wouldn't allow it. We set up an appoinment a few days out, due to my schedule. He came when he said he would, checked it out and snaked the drain and replaced the stopper in no time at all. Not only that, but the stoppper now works as it should have all along! He also checked the pipes in the basement and offered me an estimate to replace the old iron one that the tub drains into with PVC pipe, if I decide to do that in the future. He was courteous, efficient, and friendly to others in the house at the time. If I do decide to change the pipe in the basement, I'll call Mr. Maloney.
