On time, excellent job.

Very professional during the quotation process. Gave us a lot of confidence they knew what they were doing and would get a good result. Their quote was nearly identical to the other company we asked to quote us. We decided on Niskayuna Glass because of the professionalism of the installer. In particular he gave several examples of similar showers he had done. He also warned us of leak issues due to the angle our shower head was located. He gave a realistic plan for addressing the issues and said he would return to try other approaches if it did not work. Unfortunately he measured incorrectly. When the glass arrived after 3 weeks he came to install it and it did not fit. The middle piece of glass was 1 inch off (not wide enough). The installer originally asked my wife if he could leave all the material in our bathroom as we awaited for the new glass to arrive. She said yes. When I arrived home I noted this was not a good idea with two young children in the house. We called Niskayuna Glass and the lady in the shop agreed, and had someone come a pick up the material. They did try to speed the process for new glass to arrive, but since they source the glass it was not much faster. So about 3 weeks after the original install, they came back and installed the glass. The install looks great and does not leak. We are happy with the quality of the work. The mis-measurement was an honest mistake, but it did delay the completion of the project by about weeks.

I called Niskayuna Glass after our son broke the panel of glass on the left side of our front door. They came out that day and measured, took a piece to match, and gave me an estimate. They were out the next day with both pieces because the glass could not be matched due to its age. One piece had been cut too small, but it was quickly recut and installed. The guys doing the work were personable, knowledgeable, and neat. We discussed replacement window options for the rest of the house. They did not pressure us, but I will definitely check what they have to offer when we are ready to purchase new windows. The company also installs closet organizers from several different companies, including California closets and Rubbermaid. They also do bathroom remodels, general contracting, and auto glass.
