I would not recommend Mystery Rooter and Plumbing. He did not do the entire job he said he was going to do. I will not use him again.

Response from Mystery Rooter and Plumbing
We are sorry to have lost the member as a customer of Mystery Rooter and Plumbing, however the review that was posted by the member we feel is unjust and inaccurate. When we preformed the job we actually repaired a drain on the second floor which entailed cutting out old piping and replacing with new piping this portion of the job cost $275 which the member seemed to be happy with. We then had to replace a part on his USED gas water heater which was explained to him may or may not work because of the age and the condition of his water heater which cost $225. In this particular situation when we arrived at the job site, the gas water heater was taken apart into pieces we had to reassemble the water heater and replace the part that seemed to be the issue. It would have been in the member's best interest to have us install a new gas water heater for the simple reason that the water heater in his home was unsafe to repair any further. That being said we did what the customer wanted us to do (replacing the part) at the time and maybe not what should have been done (replacing the system). When we left the member's home his water heater system was running and working to his satification. The member called us in the days following us finishing the job at his home and explained that the water heater would not stay lit. We walked him through how to trouble shoot his problem and asked him if he would like us to come back to his home and make sure things were ok. We also reiterated that replacing the part on his water heater may not have been a permanent solution to his problem that he still may need to replace the entire system. We offered to apply any charges that he had already spent to intalling a new water heater and he still opted against the installation. At Mystery Rooter we are not in the habit of trying to push bigger expenses onto people just so that we can make more money, we need to reccommend things to people to keep them safe in their homes. We understand that we all go through tough times and funds are tight and we by no means are trying to take peoples money for no reason. With all of this said again we are very sorry to be losing him as a customer but feel that the job that was done at his home was done to completion and if there were any other issues with how we did something that he should have called us and we would have been happy to rectify the problem. We stand behind our work 100% and wish none of our customers but the best so if there are any issues we are more than happy to come and fix any problem with our services that we provide for no additional charge provided that what we are doing is safe and lawful.
