My Dryer Vent Guy

He replied to my scheduling request immediately and showed up early after finishing other jobs in my area. He called me to inform me that he was there and was willing to wait, whichever was convenient to me. I very much appreciated that, and it worked out for both of us! He was professional, pleasant and informative. He finished my job in approximately 15 minutes.

Excellent. Long overdue, took time to clean thoroughly and described service in detail. Gave instructions for how to retape vent myself, instead of charging me to do it. Really appreciated that.

I can't say enough positive about Harold Allyn. He arrived on time to do a free estimate, gave several potential solutions and was able to complete the work on the same day. He was very professional and knowledgeable. He spent the time to explain how to keep my new high efficiency dryer working at peak performance. He also gave me tips on properly cleaning the lint trap and the pros and cons of dryer sheets. He also cleaned up all the lint after cleaning the existing duct vent. His price was very reasonable. I highly recommend him.

The only reason I gave a B on the cost is because I didn't expect the total to be as high as it was but I have to admit that I did not shop around, so I really don't know what the going rate is. He inspected my system and explained what he would do and what was wrong with the present system at no cost. He gave me a detailed estimate. He provided a list of questions with answers to inform me as to how a system should be installed per NYS code. I was so well informed about something I knew so little about. I decided to have him install the system. He and his sister did a nice clean and professional job. He explained how to know if a problem is the dryer or the vent being clogged. He showed me the angles of the fins outside and how I would know when the inside needed cleaning. He also is e-mailing me a list of these explanations which I will attach to the wall down cellar so I have a check-list. I feel so much safer now since there have been so many dryer fires and I certainly understand why.

Harold is an exceptional professional. The most important thing to me is Quick response and timeliness of service providers. Harold is exactly that he responded to me immediately and set up a date and time I was very impressed that he even showed up on time and took care of the work right away. I called Harold based on the Angie's list reviews. He was just finishing a nearby job and was able to fit me in between scheduled jobs. He looked over the installation and knew exactly what the problem was - a clogged flexible duct. Instead of recommending a cleaning, he recommended the far less expensive route of just replacing the flexible duct. That kind of honesty is both refreshing and very much appreciated. Harold (and his sister) were professional, prompt and neat. He made several suggestions that should prevent problems in the future. My highest recommendation.

Awesome. Harold arrived with his sister and got right to work. They both had "uniform shirts" identifying the business as well as a logo truck. Harold go right to work and cleaned the vent. He then went insiderand repaired the --too long--vent pipe so the dryer cycle would be more efficient. He cut this down and reinserted it into the wall. He cleaned that part of the vent as well. He also pointed out that the duct tape used was not appropriate for heat and used different tape when he repaired the vent tube.. His sister cleaned up all the fuzz on the parking lot and then helped him by getting him things while he was on the ladder. She also cleaned up inside when he did the inside work. I will willingly recommend him and use him again. He did not charge extra for the vent repair. The dryer dried our clothes in half the time...a really money saver and a safety precaution from fire as well.

Amazingly well--3 days after my call, the business owner and his sister arrived almost exactly at the stated time, looked at the way my appliances were situated, took some measurements and provided a written estimate, 2 hours later, my project was complete and the work areas were immaculately cleaned. The final bill was right on target with the estimate. I highly recommend this business----it is extremely efficient and Mr. Allyn and his sister are knowledgeable and pleasant as well as highly professional.

He was extremely courteous and conscientious and did a very good job. There was a small inadvertent glitch which we didn't realize until later, and he came right back the next day to take care of it. Excellent experience.

He worked hard to re-vent the dryer so it was up to code. He ran into some difficulties because he couldn't get to the outside (due to our deck being so low) so he had to install the damper from the inside. He was very nice and wore booties in the house so he didn't get anything dirty. He even gave me some tips to reduce costs with heating and cooling - it was very nice!

He and his wife came and were most professional. Explained everything. Told us what was not code and had to be replaced. Worked very quickly and efficiently and at the end explained everything that he did and why he did it. He will be my guy and never Sears again. Great job, you won't be sorry.

I don't have a basement in my house. The outlet pipe itself, the way it's constructed, it has a couple of bends in it and he had to go through it with a device to get it cleaned out. He dug out a bucketful of gunk out of the pipes and gave me some great tips on how to keep the vents clean. He also follows up with us with an email reminder.

This service provider is a jewel. He called me back within an hour of my first [email] contact and we arranged an appointment for him to come look at the dryer and assess what I needed. He did, and I wanted him to do the work, assuming I would need to sschedule an appt. He offered to do the work immediately (he carries materials in his van) but he wasn't at all pushy. This was great, so I didn't have to take more time off from my job. He works with his sister and both were very cordial and professional, putting on booties and being careful not to let my cats out as they went back and forth to their van. After the work was done they both explained to me some things I needed to pay attention to, in order to keep the dryer running effectively. I highly recommend this company. I would use them again in a heartbeat.

It went really well. My Dryer Vent Guy and his sister were on time to begin the work. As the work progressed, he reviewed what he was about to do to make sure we were on the same page for instance, cutting a hole in the ceiling. The estimate of time was three hours on the outside. It took 2 hours and 50 minutes to complete the project. The bill was slightly under the estimate and My Dryer Vent Guy subtracted the initial visit amount from the bill, as promised.

He came out and showed us the things that were wrong. We had to pay a little more for the material, because we had to replace rather than fix the part. It seemed to work out great!
