My Dryer Vent Guy

We were living with very unsafe conditions with a 30 year old white vinyl dryer flex hose installed when we added an addition on the back of our home. Upon inspection, Harold said this is no longer used and is actually illegal and unsafe to use. He replaced it with a rigid pipe with everything meeting code. He had to climb through an old cellar window to enter a crawl space to work on replacing old flex hose. Harold was very courteous and professional. What impressed me the most was that his original estimate was $600 but he said after getting under the addition he saw that the insulation that he thought he would have to install was already put there by the builder saving me $100. I would have never known that, but because of Harold's honesty it saved me $100. I recommend him very highly.

Harold arrived promptly and started by inspecting the dryer and indoor connection.He gave us several tips on maintaining the dryer and then went outside.He then power brushed the vent line from outside all the way back to the dryer itself.As I watched him get covered with lint I thought that quite a bit was coming out but Harold said it was pretty clean in his opinion,so much so that he declined to charge for his services! We moved into a 10 year old house and the first load of laundry we did took forever to dry and you could tell something was very wrong. I considered cleaning the vent myself but it was a second floor laundry room with a very long run of vent from the other side of the house. He cleaned a ton of lint out of my dryer and the outside vent. Also replaced my vinyl tubing with metal. Took less than 1/2 hour. Plus he taught me how to scrub my lint trap with water and a brush once a month. My mother hired him to come to her house the next day to do the same to her dryer. He dug a pencil out of hers, along with a ton of lint. We were both very happy with the job he did.

Great. Harold is the best. He is a very knowledgeable and capable professional. He dismantled and thoroughly cleaned the dryer vents and vent hose and then re-installed everything. And cleaned up the mess on the floor! He also showed me how to properly clean and care for the dryer's filter. He is a really nice fellow who also happens to be a real pro. My dryer vent as it was clearly blocked. Bought a angies list coupon for a low cost cleaning. He came in and with in a few minutes he examined the current system and it became clear to me that my house did not have a good vent system in place which is why it was clogged. We discussed the cost of replacing it and bring it up to code, He offered to apply the cleaning coupon value to the replacement cost of a new installation, and with in 2 hours the whole system was replaced same day. Came right on time, very friendly and professional. Found the dryer hookup to the vent was not done properly by previous owners and was not corrected when it was installed. Explanations were clear, easy to follow. Cost after the $99 paid ahead via Angie's list was 62.73 but all is now properly installed, tested and cleaned.

Harold showed up for on time and finished the job in the estimated timeframe and price. He was very professional. He explained all about the impact of back pressure on dryer performance, showed me a huge bag of lint he cleaned out of the vent pipes he re-used, and cleaned up after himself. He closed off the original vent opening to the outside of my house with a metal plate so no rodents could get in. Our dryer works better now. I am very pleased with his work.

I had an issue with the current vent line in my dryer - it ran through the wall so I could not see the issue. It was not performing properly. I called - and he showed up within the hour. He was in the area with another service call and came after that. He gave me estimate and explained different options. It would be cheaper to run it outside the wall so that is the way I went. In a basement I figured why pay more for it to be in the wall. He ran the line from the dryer up and then outside. He replaced the outside vent as well and cleaned the dryer duct work. I was very pleased with his work and will followup with his business for future dryer duct work cleaning.

He was very good. I had no problem. He was prompt and on time. We talked about the need for a more safe vent hose and he helped me replace the plastic one I had. I feel more comfortable about my dryer vent now.

The service went very well. He was pleasant & professional, explained everything he saw and was doing, took the necessary time for the job, and said he would like to come back after the holidays to check on the way it was working. He did come back in January & helped me re-position the dryer & advised me to keep the laundry alcove doors open a little for maximum drying efficiency.

Harold arrived exactly at the promised time and went to work immediately. He checked the vent lines and noted that it was in excellent shape. He then proceeded to extract the lint for the vent lines. Next Harold addressed any lint remaining in the dryer itself. I found Harold to be efficient and friendly and will certainly use hime again next year.

This was a $99 big deal purchase. It was fine. It did not go as expected. It was not the kind of service call or quality that I was hoping to get. He was fine; it was just a little bit hokey. It was not bad. He was a nice fellow and his girlfriend, but he just really didn't know what he was doing. I knew more than he knew.

The owner Harold and his Sister, his assistant, stopped in on a Monday to evaluate the problem. They informed me that my dryer vent did not meet code and that it was so clogged that it could not be cleaned and that it could be a fire hazard if not repaired. This was verified by the new dryer we had installed less than two weeks before. The new dryer sent out alarms indicating that there was a "AIR FLOW" problem and a "CHECK VENT" alarm indication. They were both very professional and explained exactly what service needed to be done I told Harold that I needed to consult with my wife and that I would call them later with my decision . They did not charge me for the initial visit and consultation, but I new the job had to be done and these were the professionals to do the work. I called them that same evening and they scheduled my service within two days. They were right on time, explained the scope of the job to be preformed and installed our new vent which required a rather lengthy run and going through walls. They showed me a section of the old vent that was removed and I could not believe how clogged it was that air was unable to flow through it. The work was professionally done, the system was checked through-out and I was given instructions, not only on future care but also helped me to better understand the advanced features of our new washer and dryer. Everything was cleaned up after the job that You hardly knew that they were there. Great Job Guys!!!

Everything went just fine. Before, my dryer always had a clean lint warning coming up; now there's no warning in sight. It was a pleasant experience and we were very happy to have met this charming couple.
