My Dryer Vent Guy

Mr. Dryer Vent Guy was very professional and knowledgeable. He cleaned out my dryer vent hose which was filled with 18+ years of lint and replaced some pieces. He explained everything he was doing and gave me good advice about how to maintain everything. I will definitely be calling him again next year!

Wonderful! Honest guy, cleaned my vent let me know of some obstacles in my setup but did not try to oversell services. Given my dryer is used on a limited basis he said upgrade could wait until I was ready to upgrade the roof. When I asked if I needed a cleaning every yr he said “most likely not, I would just be stealing your money”. He told me how to do some small maintenance checks and how to identify future issues. If you need a vent cleaning and an honest assessment Harold is your guy!!

What a nice man, very honest, knowledgeable and professional. Harold soon had my dryer vent and lint area in dryer cleaned out. He didn't charge me as he said the amount of lint was very little. The work went very well. From what looked like it might be a hopeless case when he arrived, Harold was able to resolve quite a mess so that he left the dryer in good shape for another three years. He really went above and beyond to save us money. I could not recommend him more highly. An excellent job from start to finish.

Refreshingly HONEST. Harold said we didn't need the vent cleaned and he didn't just want to take our money. On top of his great honesty, he educated us on building codes. He later did an inspection and found that the booster fan and lack of access wasn't up to building codes. He is sending us the building code so that we can properly deal with the builder of our 18 month old home.

$149 deal but needed to replace exhaust transition. Great job. Easy to set up appointment. On time. Educational and learned things I didn't know even after visits from other drier services. Feel much safer and now know how to watch for and prevent future plugging.

Who knew that venting your dryer into the garage is prohibited by the building code? Well Harold knew this and gave us an estimate for a creative solution to our venting problem. He arrived at the scheduled time and professionally installed the new venting system. The new vent works better than our old vent even though it is a longer run. He also provided us with some very useful tips for maintaining the new system.

My dryer duct had not been cleaned for at least 13 years, and Harold pulled out about a cubic foot of lint and other material. He and his partner were great! They came within a couple of days, did what they had to do and cleaned up after themselves. The price was less than the estimate in our phone conversation. I will have them return to clean out the vent shortly. I highly recommend this company and their service!

Very well. Harold was a bit late for the appointment, arriving at 11:45 for a 10:30 to 11:30 window and did not call when he was delayed. However, once he got here, the service was performed quickly and professionally. Harold suggested additional fixes that would make the dryer more efficient, and installed a better end cap on the outside vent unit (that was mouse proof).

Harold pointed out that that duct used to vent out is not up to the code and needs to be replaced. The duct was completely clogged and also had condensed moisture in it as it wasn't insulated through the garage. He replaced the entire 20 odd feet of duct along with the correct angles to reduce drag. He even emailed me a copy of the code compliance document for my knowledge. The price was very reasonable and justified his charges for parts and labor as well. His actual charge came below the quote because it took him less time than he had quoted. He also applied the dryer vent cleaning deal I had purchased earlier from Angie's List towards the entire repair job. Overall I am very pleased with his work and thank him for preventing a major disaster in my house. Very honest guy and highly recommend him for any dryer vent related work.

Wow, I was impressed! And depressed at the same time. I couldn't believe what he got out of out dryer vent. As he said, it's remarkable that we did not have a fire due to what had accumulated in the dryer vent. I was amazed. This service was professionally performed, everything was explained, and he promised that he would send us a postcard in a year to remind us that we should have the vent cleaned every two years. I don't want to risk having that kind of build-up again. He also made several suggestions about dryer placement. This was a completely positive experience. I would recommend that EVERY homeowner perform this process on their clothes dryer, and this is the guy you want to do it!

Our dryer vent white vinyl hose was almost 30 years old and ran under an addition that goes out 16 feet. Harold had to enter through a small cellar window to get to the crawl space to work on replacing old vent hose. He replaced it with 4" rigid pipe and made sure everything was safe and up to code. Harold was courteous and professional. What impressed me most was his honesty. He said he had planned on installing a special insulation, but when he got under there he saw that it was already installed by the builder and he didn't need to do it afterall. He cut off $100 from the price he estimated. I would have never known this was already there if not for his honesty. I highly respect this man and would highly recommend him for his honesty, professionalism and the outstanding job he did.
