Upon inspection of my dryer vent system, he informed me that it was installed poorly with screws instead of tape causing a fire hazard when lint builds up inside the duct work. He was able to remove all the screws, seal the duct work appropriately and then perform the cleaning work for a very reasonable additional amount.

Upon completion of the vent cleaning, he informed me that I was doing a good job of cleaning the dryer vent trap and that I would only need a vent cleaning approximately every five years. I found his honesty very refreshing.

Description of Work: They cleaned my dryer vent of lint and for an extra $30 they replaced some metal screws holding the vent pipe sections together and used metal tape to reseal the joints.

He removed the old one which I thought a critter had decided to call home and gave me advice on where to go to get a part for my 30-year old dryer door The above says it all - prompt, professional and courteous. My Dryer Vent Guy advised that my vent is in violation of the fire code due to its length and material used, flexible aluminum. I believed him as my google search resulted in a surprising and scary result: 15000 fires annually are triggered by a faulty dryer vent. So for $189 more I have a new vent and peace of mind. The 40-ft span was replaced by a 12-ft span and the flexible aluminum by a rigid sheet metal all done in an hour. My Dryer Vent Guy is knowledgeable and |ingenious. Imagine, from 40 ft to 12 ft. I gladly recommend him for your dryer vent needs.
