There were some issues with the floor at one time so I called them back and they did come back and fix that. The second crew I taught was little bit more professional and better than the first crew. They did however put poly on all of my floors that was medium luster poly and in the kitchen they did not they put a high luster. I am not sure why they did that and I didn't realize until after they were gone. I didn't call them back because it was not horrendous to me. This is an apartment building but the consistency wasn't there. On their first pricing set they were really fair and really well. The last price set was a different crew claimed that they took longer for the same space that they did throughout the house and charged me more. The job was done really nice. I called them like on a Thursday and they were here the following Monday. The owner made the deal with me and then called my wife and wouldn't return my call.

Price was actually very fair. I had an issue with some of the spots on the floor and they came back redid it. My wife wasn't too happy with the finished product. There is a few spots but the rest of the house is pretty good.

Owner sent 2 young men...owner never came back to check work done. They sanded the center of the floors before doing edges...left a lot of indents in my floors

Wonderful Job, very nice man. Very nice staff The only thing I would recommend is that ALL floor refinishers suggest to their clients that they change their furnace filters when the job is complete. I just changed mine yesterday, a little over a month after the floors were done and it was completely clogged with the dust from the floor sanding - I know I had dust on everything upstairs which was expected. I just didn't consider the effects on my furnace. I know this is not the floor people's responsibility, but a heads up to the consumer would be greatly appreciated.

Was prompt and courteous and cleaned up after job was finished.

I wanted a local company to refinish my floors and that is why I called Mr Sandman.

Quoting was prompt, thorough and informative. Service was prompt, complete and professional.

The crew came the first day, sanded the floor, then vacuum and tacked and applied a coat of stain. i noticed that they were staining across the boards rather than with the grain. The next day they arrived to apply the first coat of poly. I asked about some spots that were not stained and was told that they did not miss any spots. Two days later they arrived to apply the final coat of poly. We closed off the room and were told not to enter for 2 days. Two days later, we looked at the floor..... they missed poly on about 15-50 spots as well as a section about 3 cubic feet. The floor was covered in grit and bubbles.. it was a real mess. I called the owner and he sent the same guys back the next day. They buffed the floor and applied a third coat of poly. Again, many areas were missed . I called the owner and he sent one of the guys back along with his son. They buffed the floor and applied a 4th coat of poly. so, 2 days later we opened the room and went in. The poly job was not 'too' bad, but, the areas they missed staining stand out. THE BEST PART... the guy that sanded the floor.... we now have several 'stop' marks in the floor (this is when you stop the sander in one spot and it digs into the wood leaving a gully). The floor looks lousy, and i'm out $1,140, and i give up. When i first called the owner, i was told of the importance of experience in utilizing a sander. Did i mention that the crew that came the first day ... one of the guys... first day on the job and he was staining the floor.

I called Bud on a Wednesday and by the next Monday his crew was at my house starting the job. Bud was great to deal with. He is very personable and extremely knowledgable regarding hardwood floors. He has even written a book on the subject. They refinished the 300 sq ft of hardwood floors in the family room (sanded, cleaned, restained & sealed). It took them 3 days. They were very meticulous and methodical. There process and timeline was exactly as Bud had described it to me on the phone. The guys cleaned up fully at the end of each day. Bud wanted no money until the job was fully complete. The end product was great!! A job VERY well done.

Arrived on time, was responsive and professional, but estimate was so high we went with Charlie with no regrets.

Excellent work, professional, speedy (finished job on time and as scheduled), and reasonably priced. I'm very pleased with the work and will gladly call on them again when needed. Highly recommend.

Bud would not come out to give us an estimate and was rude and evasive over the phone. If he was too busy he could have just said so instead of giving me a hard time about it.

Workers arrived on time, completed the task and departed after cleaning area.

Over all we were not happy with our experience. While the sanding and varnishing were done competently, we had several issues with timeless and communication which made for an over all aggravating experience. First, we never met Budd, the owner at all, but only talked by phone. Second the estimate was revised in the middle of the job, and the changes were very poorly communicated to us. Finally they didn't clean up after themselves.
