We specialize in performing a great deal of remodeling all year long including additions, roofing, kitchens, baths, and more. Legere has also developed an exclusive insurance loss repair process to provide the additional attention to insurance claim details necessary in protecting your claim and assuring the necessary repairs, paperwork, and forms are all managed on your behalf. Legere staffs a 24 Hour/Day, 365 Days/Year - Emergency Response Team who remain on standby and provide extraordinary service when the unexpected happens such as a fire in the middle of the night, a pipe breaking in your home, a flood, a tree coming through your roof or soot & smoke damage to mention a few events we regularly service and provide the tools, materials, tradesmen, and skills to overcome. This company just want to work for the insurance company and have no interest in the homeowner 's best interest. In fact I was told that they didn't want to "lose face " with my insurance company and that they said they hoped more business could come from them (my insurance company) even thought they were supposed to be representing Our interests. It was then we realized our mistake and asked them to leave. How could we compete with a one off claim against the business that could come from the insurance Company. They charged over $2,600 plus for nothing other than three men "cleaning" for an afternoon and an electrician who changed a light bulb. Please do not waste your time or money, I bitterly regret that I had anything to do with them, the cleaning job could have been done in half the time and a fraction of the cost and to add insult to injury my husband children and myself ended up cleaning the debris ourselves.
Description of Work: They sent men to our home to help estimate damage after a tornado. Three men came and were supposed to clean the debris. One couldn't be really bothered and spent an hour looking around rather than sweeping trying to pretend he was doing something rather than actually worki ng. Their liaison guy seemed friendly at first but started trying to keep me out of the loop and bipass us to deal with the insurance adjuster directly, even though they had promised to not do this.

Description of Work: The roofing over the office and one bedroom in our home was damaged by extreme buildup of ice and snow from several storms andwe experienced water damage from roof leaks that caused the ceilings in these two rooms to collapse. The rooms needed to be gutted completely and treated for mold. Legere, recommended by a friend and approved by the insurance company, came in and did an extraordinary job. They necessarily broke down the furnishings which required it and took it all out of the house and stored it in storage containers, did some repairs to doors and etc; removing and disposing of the carpets, then reversing the paking process. The ceiling installation and painting was done by a private construction firm, and the carpets were laid by Schenectady Flooring (who did a magnificent job by the way) and when all the work was completed, the rooms were like brand new. Legere also removed the roof that was damaged and replaced it with a new metal roof. They are an excellent firm, and if need be, I would use them again. I highly recommend their work ethic....very professional,friendly and thorough.

This is still a work in progress. If you do not have a project in progress with these guys, don't start one. I will update here when applicable, but could not let this company continue to operate without any one knowing how truly disappointing they are to this servicemember. The h*** of it is that it almost seems like I'm receiving this complete lack of service because I am a servicemember. I've lived in places where service men and women are looked upon as almost like a scourge, but even with that mentality I was raised in Schenectady which makes me understand why small businesses are failing in this economy: they just don't care about the customer especially when it counts the most.
Description of Work: Legere Restoration is a company that is like any other business, that is they are trying to ensure that they have a steady revenue stream. With that being said they will say anything possible to ensure that one uses their business. This includes BOLD FACED lying straight to your face on when they will perform work on your property. This also includes B.S. lowballing prices. They do not know the meaning of customer service and will attempt to dodge you as much as possible. No services have been performed yet and its been almost a month. The BBB has been informed as well as my insurance company.

It appears we did not meet our customer's expectations and regardless as to the reason why, we find this disappointing and can only apologize to our customer for any inconvenience. After some investigation it became evident that this project was initiated by an insurance loss for which the customer's insurance provider "assigned" the repair project to our company. Our estimators produced an estimate for water damage that was "approved" for coverage by the insurance carrier. This approval came in what we would consider to be a very reasonable amount of time. We were approved to put the home back to a condition equal to, but not better than the original condition. The homeowner (our customer / the insured) requested a price to upgrade his project from a lessor flooring product (vinyl) as was originally installed to ceramic tile in the same area. As part of the protocol out-lined and dictated by the homeowner’s insurance carrier we are/were required to notify and document for the insurer "changes" in scope (upgrades or downgrades) and to obtain approval for the changes prior to beginning the work. Unfortunately the approval process from the insurer in question (the entity paying for the repairs) recently changed their system for making such requests changed from a simple phone call to an electronic only process. The "insurer" prior to the customer’s change request advised Legere that we were no longer to call the insurance loss adjusters and that communications were to all be sent through an electronic e-mail system only. Our team sent multiple electronic requests for approval in the change desired without receiving affirmation of the request or approval to move forward. This process did create a delay. Our employees attempted communicate this delay in processing to the homeowner; however, based on the homeowner’s / customer’s review it appears the information was not well received or accepted. Approval was eventually obtained and when the homeowner was presented with the increased cost for upgrading to ceramic tile the homeowner/our customer advised Legere that the additional expense was not acceptable. As such our team did not install the tile flooring. Again, regardless as to how our customer's project experience became negative, we are very disappointed that we were not able to meet his expectations. As importantly, if not more troubling to our team is in the fact that a member of our armed forces believes that his negative experience in any way, shape, manner, or form has to do with his service to our country. I cannot state how severely disappointing to everyone within our operations this opinion has become. Our owner served honorably within the USAF; our Operations Manager's husband served as a tank commander; our administrative assistant's brother is currently serving as a medic within the USAF; our GM's son is currently pursuing a career as an officer within the armed forces; and multiple field technicians within our work-force have either honorably served within the armed forces themselves or have children actively deployed. Legere would not tolerate any actions and/or behaviors associated with the accusations being made by the complainant. Legere remains committed to the men and women of our armed forces and strives to go above and beyond in making the necessary accommodations whenever possible to support not only service member, but a importantly accommodations are provided to those family member's "left-behind" to maintain a house-hold during times of deployment. We believe this is the least we can do for folks who remain at the ready and on call in defense of our Nation. This is no small matter to the employees of Legere. In good faith, Legere did call our customer regarding the Angie’s list complaint to better understand the conditions for which expectations were missed; however, during this call the complainant advised he did not have time to discuss the situation. A return call was requested, but never received. As such Legere accepts the responsibility in not meeting our customer’s goals and can only assume that it is possible this service member may have been under pressures for which we as civilians can simply not understand and for which we can only provide our apologies. Legere will continue to strive for excellence in everything that we do!
