He was cordial and very good. He fogged them to make them sleepy and warped the nest in a plastic bag then took it away.

The work went great! My initial phone call was returned within a couple of hours and an appointment was made for Barry to come the following day. He came totally prepared with his equipment and knowledge, which he readily shared as I was interested in yellow jackets and what he would do. One nest was above the front door behind the bricks. The other nest was in the ground in the side yard. Within 45 minutes, give or take, he had done the work and done it well. Even though he was dressed for the job of dealing with angry yellow jackets, I still think he's brave to do this type of job. The nest above the front door was reached by a short ladder, and I could see from the window that he got the tip of his equipment behind the bricks and thoroughly sprayed. For the ground nest, he got down on his knees and sprayed with a quick-killing substance, and when he determined it was safe, broke open the ground and scooped out the nest, in pieces, and bagged to take it away. That was 48 hours ago and I haven't seen one yellow jacket since, though he told me I might because the workers out in the field, so to speak, would return but then be killed. The price below is including tax.

Impressive, Barry answered the phone with his name. He gave me a free phone consultation and advised me to contact a business with a license to treat lawns. I would definitely call Home Town again with any other pest issue. Another A rated pest control co. on Angie's List did not even bother to return our call.

Called Home Town Pest yesterday morning and Barry (the owner) answered the phone, which impressed me right from the start. I told him I believed yellow jackets were building a nest outside and burrying into my foundation and that my husband was deathly allergic to bees. Not only did he quote me an exact price, he found time to perform the service the very next day(today)! Just on a side note, not only was his quote much less than the other company on Angie's with similar ratings, Barry has a two month guarantee compared to the other company only having a one month guarantee. What I really appreciated, was that he called when he was on his way and was very clear when explaining the extermination process. He even provided paperwork on the various chemicals used and dangers to household pets. I'm hoping to see a huge difference when I return home tonight and if not then, within the week. I would definitely call Barry again and suggest you do too!

A yellow jacket bee hive had taken root on the underside of my parents deck and they had carpenter bees in the deck railing. I called most of the big "commercial" pest control companies and was told someone would have to come out and first do an assessment and then not sure when the appointment to remove the hive would be. One company did quote price, but it was extremely high. The second company would not give me a price until they did the assessment. I went to Angie's List found Barry Booke at Home Town Pest. I called and the phone was answered by a real person, a very nice woman who quoted me a minimum and maximum price. Within an hour of my call Barry was on -site to perform the service. He was efficient, professional and very nice to work with. I would definitely recommend this company and will call again in the future should the need arise.

Examined entire region. Even located a 2nd nest in front garden and eliminated it for no extra fee. Exceedingly professional, punctual and courteous.

He showed up on time and upon surveying the situation got right to work. It didn't take long and he was thorough. The carpenter bees and hornets did not come back all season!

It was awesome. He was great. He showed up when he said he was and he completed everything. He did a great job. He was very professional, very personable, easy to deal with and didn't try and over sell me. He sold us what we needed. I dealt with another company and I honestly didn't hire them and they tried to over sell me in everything. He came in and he explained to me what he found out we needed and he was initially to come back and I didn't need him to come back. He took care of the problem and he was great.

He came within 24 hours (the bees were not a threat; I had the impression he would have come faster if it was an emergency.) He seemed very methodical in spraying, explaining to me everything he was doing. He even came in the house and listened to the wall with a stethoscope to see if he heard more bees in the wall. I had no bees again after about 2 hours, as he had predicted. This service was great, an "A" by any measure. However, what really impressed me was a call I made to him in November, when I heard scratching in a wall that I presumed to be mice. He must have spent at least 15 minutes on the phone with me, patiently explaining all my options. He surmised that I was unenthusiastic about poison, and he explained to me the limitations of traps. I decided to do nothing at the moment, which he didn't challenge. The scratching sounds disappeared after a few days, and have not recurred. What an exception this professional is to all the companies that seem to charge a minimum of $100 to walk in my door. I would use him again and give him my highest recommendation.

Barry provided an estimate over the phone when initially contacted, based on my description of the problem. He had a minimum fee for the job. He arrived punctually (actually, 10 minutes early!) and went right to work. I thought there were two nests, but he removed three. They were in a relatively hard-to-reach part of the attic. Barry was very personable and knowledgeable about yellow jackets. Even after the discount he initially gave us, he dropped the price because the bees were inactive or dead (low temperatures). We didn't want to take any chances, given the risks. We would use his services again in a heartbeat.

Was very happy with what Barry did. He sprayed a nests in porch roof and eves. He was very thorough and calmed my fears (they were coming in the house) by checking the house inside incl. attic, cellar, etc. I appreciated that. When I called him because there were many around the house again, esp the eves... he came back the next day an did an application on 2 sides of the house. That did it! I will call him next year for sure.

Set up appointment the next day, came on time, inspected the areas of the outside of the house - determined the point of entry exterminated the yellow jacets.

Barry knows his insects. He corrected a problem I did not even know I had. There was a carpenter BEE working my front porch area. I have never heard of a carpenter BEE, I thought it was just a pesky bumblebee. Barry showed me the evidence of the problem and I saw the carpenter bee dead on the porch floor a few days after Barry's treatment. He checked and applied ant bait to the outside perimeter of my house, the basement, the ground floor, the second story, and the front porch. He supplied me with labels for the treatment products he used. He inspected the ground bee nest area that was uncovered and home-treated the week before his visit. He told me it did not look active, but showed me what to watch for if it became active. He advised there was nothing to treat at that time. He worked for about two hours inspecting and applying treatment. He explained what he was doing and why. He is knowledgeable, professional, and very honest about his trade. My mind is now at peace about the ants and Barry will come back in the spring next year to keep it that way.

I contacted Home Town over Labor Day Weekend after finding them on Angie's List. Barry (the owner) called me back on Tuesday following the long weekend (his answering machine was very clear that he wouldn't get back to me until Tuesday). He was busy but had an early Wed am appointment available if that could work for us. Told him yes and he was there promptly at 6:50am the following morning. Barry checked the work area briefly and then pulled all the equipment needed and was working on the bee hive situation within 15 minutes of arriving. I stayed with him, asking many questions about the process and how effective it would be over the long term. Barry was very patient and explained everything in detail. I observed the entire process and was convinced that the job was thoroughly completed by the time he left, roughly an hour after arrival. I paid the bill on the spot and arrived home from work at the end of the day and didn't see a single bee flying around the area. Barry promised a full two month warranty and explained that it would be very rare for the bees to return at any point, I can see why he has so many "A" reviews on Angie's List. I would enlist his services any time in the future for similar pest control situations as needed.

Barry was extremely professional and very thorough. He took his time to explain what needed to be done and to evaluate the situation. I highly recommend Barry for any problems with insects. A pleasure to work with.

I called the phone number listed and a woman pleasantly scheduled an appointment at my convenience. Barry, the owner, arrived promptly at the promised time. He was knowledgeable, professional, courteous & friendly. He listened to me, explained what he was doing & went to work. Not only did he eliminate the yellow-jackets at the known location...he also went into the basement (put booties on first to protect our carpets & floors) & checked the insulation/ceiling to be sure none had entered the house. Then went into garage to check walls (listened for any additional yellow-jackets there). He was thorough! He used dust & liquid insecticide, I think, and told me what I could expect to see after the treatment. And he was right...no more yellow-jacket activity! Price was a little less than what I paid someone else 3 years ago for similar problem. I'll hire him again in a heartbeat, since I was VERY pleased.

We used Home Town Pest Management to successfully eliminate some nests two years ago so we called them again when we had lots of yellow jacket activity coming out of the siding on both sides of the garage door opening. They responded that week and took great care not to damage the siding while assessing the problem. They learned we had two nests and each were going inside the wall. They had all the right gear and exterminated both nests without any damage to the house. After that day, no more activity at all from either side. Wonderful! Their price was extremely reasonable given how quickly they responded, how careful they were, and since it was done right with one visit.

He was very punctual and professional. He was very through in his spraying. We have a lot of bees in our area and aluminum siding on the house. This gives the wasps lots of places to hide.

He put on his Ghostbusters outfit and I was yellow jacket free in minutes.

I called and left a message late-morning. Early afternoon he returned my call and was able to come over soon after. He removed/treated 2 nests. He was pleasant and professional. I believe his fee was VERY reasonable. If I ever need this type of service again, I will not hesitate to contact him.
