DEBS WAY CLEANING

I am so pleased with the cleaning job the ladies from Deb's Way Cleaning did for me for my initial cleaning. The took care of things I neglected for years. They cleaned everything I expected they would clean, and they did a great job as they moved through my very large house. The ladies were efficient and so very pleasant. A couple of small things got broken, but I have way too many little decorations, anyway, and they told me about the breakage immediately. My family had already broken these things a couple of times, so it just made my decision to get rid of them easier! I have no problem recommending Deb's Way and look forward to being on the regular cleaning schedule. The ladies made me think I'd moved into a new house!!

For the most part, the house looked wonderful. Upon closer inspection, there was a lot left uncleaned. I recently hired a different housecleaner and I now know what should have been done. This recent cleaning really included attention to detail including mini blinds, dusting of all sides of furniture, cleaning under the beds ( I found major dust) and even cleaning of perfume bottles on trays. Deb's cleaners did none of this. My cleaning bill was $350 dollars for under 3 hours of cleaning. With my latest service I paid $100 for 4 hours. I did agree to Deb's rates, but I expected top notch cleaning. I emailed her after the cleaning and she mentioned that she was surprised, but seemed to only want to remedy this if I became a regular customer. I have since left a message at her service explaining that I would not review until I heard from her, but I received no call back.

Deb was a complete professional. There was a scheduling conflict on my part and she was able to adjust hers to meet my time frame. She contacted me prior to getting to the house to review and describe exactly what was to be done. She also explained the cost and gave me a run down of how her staff were going to approach the cleaning. The staff called 1/2 hour before they were to arrive. They immediately started working and completed everything very quickly. They worked as a team and finished the entire house a lot quicker than I would have expected. They did a great job and I would definitely recommend them.

I called Saturday, June 21st at 11 AM the message stated the call would be returned by then end of the day. I received a call back the next day, but missed the call. I called again June 24th and spoke with someone explaining what I would need. They gave me a date past what I needed for the open house that was scheduled, so I said never mind, not a big deal. She said give her a little time, she would see if they could get in for Friday, June 27th since the open house was June 29th. She called me back at about 6:30 PM June 24th and started the conversation like we hadn't even spoken, she was returning my call from the 21st. I explained we had spoken earlier that day and she was going to see if she could fit me in. She told me that I must be confused and spoke with another cleaner (Debs was the only place I called based on Angie's reviews). I went through my whole situation, and it was slowly coming back to her. She then gave me the promise again to try to fit me in on Friday the 27th with a promise of a call back after working on the schedule. I never heard from anyone again. I understand I was calling on short notice, but we decided to hire someone last minute, this was not planned, I figured I would see if I could find someone. I hired someone else who happily came in and did the 90 minutes of cleaning on short notice.

They charge $120 per hour. It's a good company. We've gotten to know the people who come out and they're friendly, reliable, and they do what we ask them to do.

The four ladies arrived right on time and after a quick tour of the house and explanations of what I wanted done, I left to go to an appointment. I arrived about 20 minutes before they finished and was so pleased to walk into a house that hasn't been this clean since the day we moved in 9 years ago! We have a high ceiling and huge wooden beams in our living room, which were completely cobweb-free and dust-free, as were the four ceiling fans in the house! Both bathrooms were spotless (including the "yucky" kids' bathroom!). The kitchen was perfectly clean, including the doors/outsides of the cabinets (which I did not expect). All of our wooden floors (old and new) were shiny and clean. Everything was dusted, even all the little knick-knacks I have on shelves everywhere! We are very pleased with the professionalism, great attitude and superior cleaning services provided by the Deb's Way team. It's so nice to come home to a clean house and we are all inspired to try to keep the house cleaner! I am setting up biweekly cleaning with one of the ladies.

The crew (3 women) come on time, they work efficiently, and do a good job. And nothing ever disappears.

I have been using Deb's way for 3+ years. Service began with initial deep cleaning. Wood floors are washed on a rotating basis each visit.

I am satisfied and pleased with the work they do. My house is always clean.

Great team of cleaners and they know what to do, how to manage and juggle schedules, what products to use. Silent diligent workers. Polite, courteous and friendly team leader, Willing to accommodate shifts in my schedule. I have had many cleaning companies work for me in the past and I've changed them all because they were so much about productivity and volume that they did not do such a good job within their allotted time. I am sure this company is not running at a loss, they are profitable and are able to do that while managing to do a great job in the time allotted. This is a cleaning company I am going to stick with.

I was very happy with the initial cleaning. The crew of 3 ladies that came did a fabulous job. The only reason for the bad rating is I was quoted at $120 for the initial cleaning but it was actually $120 per hour. I am very detailed oriented & if I had heard anything about per hour I would have noted it &/or clarified. Also, based on my initial conversations with the owner Deb I am inclined to believe, that she probably did NOT mention the per hour to me, for whatever reason. An example of what I mean, when she called me back to let me know when her team would be showing up we talked, I gave her my address, spelling the road out out for her, she said she had everything & we hung up. Immediately she called me back again asking for my address & again I spelled it for her. Again, the cleaning was fantastic. A bit pricey but it was quality top to bottom cleaning so I cannot complain about the price because ultimately it is fair & I am more than happy with the quality. I paid the $120 per hour (so double what I expected to pay) not wanting to raise a big stink but I am regretting that, as because of the snafu in pricing/that experience I now expect to go with another cleaning service who has also been very responsive & impressive so, I wish I had not given them the full price upfront & negotiated based on our misunderstanding. I also would not schedule an initial cleaning again with a service until I know for sure I want to use them, as in this particular instance it was some what of a "waste" as I'm most likely moving forward with someone else. update 6/30 - I went with another cleaning service. The same one that came to give me an estimate while your cleaners were there. Upon another look some easy things were missed - dusting in the guest bedroom was missed/not done in some easy spots, the cleaners could stand to be a little gentler as some things got broken thankfully nothing of value, not all my windows were cleaned, etc. Overall I'm still happy with the quality of the cleaning but not the professionalism of the owner. Also, I had requested a tri-weekly cleaning schedule as 2 weeks is too much for me but 4 weeks too long. The owner stated she couldn't provide this as it was too sophisticated for her to figure out...the service I hired is also providing me w/ tri-weekly cleanings. Again, very happy with the overall quality of the cleaning but wish I had not paid in full as I know it was not my error/an hourly rate was NOT stated. Your cleaning personnel also stated that this is not the first time this mistake has happened...it's too bad the owner wouldn't take any responsibility as even though she couldn't do the tri-weekly, based on the quality of the cleaning, I would have hired your company.

We are extremely pleased with their work, professionalism, and response to our requests. They will become regulars at our house.

Deb is the no-nonsense owner of the business. Her crews have been cleaning my house for a few years now. I always have to remind the bathroom cleaner to be more thorough with mold and mildew. It gets out of hand and then eventually I complain and Deb has to send her other team to bring it all back to shape. They clean my house every two weeks and do a decent job of dusting, vacuuming, cleaning and mopping. No real deep cleaning takes place and I have to remind them to vacuum under sofa cushions or dust behind things on counters. Overall, the ladies are pleasant and very hard working. I would recommend them to otherss

First cleaning extensive and subsequent as requested. Staff friendly, respectful, flexible, focused and efficient. Repeat customer (bi weekly). Great team!

The service was great. The cleaning crew came and went right to work. They are very friendly and professional. My kitchen hasn't looked better. Every surface was wiped clean. The ceilings were dusted. My house looked and smells great after! I don't know what they use but my house doesn't smell like chemicals after. I've had them come back for regular service and would recommend Deb's Way to anyone.

Deb was very nice on the phone - lives very close to us. She came by for the initial "deep" cleaning and we were charged $165. She left a note because one of the cleaners ended up breaking one of my trinkets while dusting on the bookshelf. It wasn't a very pricey trinket and I did appreciate that they were honest about it, but my husband was upset at their carelessness. Deb told us if we cleaned bi-weekly it would be $80, for a month $100. We decided to go monthly. They came again the end of April, my husband was home this time. He was happy with the job they did (Deb did not come, she was on vacation we were told - but I'm not sure if she only comes the first time and then lets her workers clean the other times) -but they were very fussy about some things he told them not to worry about (for instance, they were bound and determined to get all the cat hair off a futon which he told them not to worry about - we were throwing it out as soon as possible. And he told them multiple times not to put away the dishes in the dishwasher - but they kept questioning him.) Not as fussy or clean about other things. They charged us $108.25 - they said we had to add on sales tax, which Deb hadn't told us about, but ok, we did, no problem. They last came Fri. April 25, 2008 and told us they would come again Fri. May 23, 2008. Perfect. Deb calls me this past Sunday, May 18th. She asks if we still want them to come on Friday. Of course, I tell her. Then she says, "You know that the price has risen to $120 right?" Umm, no, I had not been told that. She says she meant to tell us this last month but because she forgot, she let it go. Well, ok, but it had been almost a month since the last visit and she didn't think to call us until now? She said it was because the cleaners had been there over 2 hours and because of all the cat hair. Well, maybe if they had ignored the futon like my husband had told them too, then it wouldn't have been a problem. My husband was very upset. He was working from home when they came on April 25th and they were 15 minutes late (no big deal) but were there a maximum of 1.5 hours. In response, she said, well, ok, over 1.5 hours is $120. So if they go over 1.5 hours this Fri. 5/23, it will be $120. We said ok. We are now looking for new cleaners. I have a feeling that the cleaners on Friday will most definitely take longer than 1.5 hours now, even though they didn't before, just because she said that. I don't know if the cleaners lied about how long they were there the last time, or Deb did. The cleaning is ok, I don't have a complaint about that (although it's not spectacular - but since we are so busy it is good to have extra cleaning every month), but between the breaking of my trinket the first time and the not telling us about the price increase until the WEEK before, and the change in how long it took to clean - I just can't trust her anymore.

THEY ARE FINE. WE HAVE BEEN USING THEM FOR YEARS. THEY SHOW UP ON TIME, ARE REASONABLY PRICED AND DO A GOOD JOB. THE QUALITY OF WORK IS GOOD, NOT EXCELLENT. IT WAS NOT QUITE AS GOOD OF A JOB THAT I WOULD DO MYSELF.
