There was lack of communication between partners. And there could be improvement in the professionalism. I was not happy with the workers leaving cigarette butts in yard. I am not a smoker and find it offensive. |

Description of Work: This was the highest of 3 estimates. The work to be provided was the most extensive, yet greater than I feel is needed.

Description of Work: I contacted Rik from Creative and he responded to me that same day to set up an appointment. The next day he was at my home right at the schedule time. I told Rik that I wanted the existing walkway in front of my home to be replaced and also the installation of a walkway to my back yard. Rik was very personable and knowledgeable, he took all the measurements and said he would get back to me with a quote. Rik got back to me the very same day and I hired him. He started my job a few days later and was complete within a week. I also want to say he's crew worked very hard and also they were very polite and I could joke around with them. Very nice bunch of guys. I would like to say that I'm very very pleased with the work they preformed it came out beautiful, I can't say enough good things. I plan on hiring Rik again for another job I want done in the fall.

Description of Work: Following storm damage in may 2012; The church had several mason estimates 2 responded quickly, the 3rd Rick Morelli of Creative Stone Wall & Masonry did not respond to the many calls over a 2 week period. Finally he answered his business phone after many rings. He came and did an estimate after he was selected to do foundation repairs to the Lake George Methodist Church on 78 Montcalm St., Lake George,NY 12845 based on his sterling reviews from Angies List, even though his quote was the highest (3 times the average for that repair) and was difficult to reach. Rick knew that the church didn't have a big congregation and no one to dispute his recommendations for the repairs as most are elderly and none with masonry experience or knowledge. He is a very charming individual that boasts about his reviews/awards from your company. He was very impatient as we had to postpone the repairs as both my wife and I were both hospitalized during the next 2 months following the storm damage. While we were recuperating he kept calling and pressed to get the job started before the Insurance Co. had finished the appraisal/review/approval process. The day of the start of the repairs he refused to start/wait for the Insurance check , leaving the church to pay him out of insufficient funds to cover the cost. My wife and I ended up paying him out of our savings and had to be reimbursed by the church following receipt of the Insurance. The day he and his crew poured cement, he was left unattended for a period of time and when we had returned he told us the cement truck had just left and that they had poured and covered (with earth) 1 cubic ton of cement. We found out after that he had lied about that as the retired next door neighbor observed them that entire time testifing there was no truck and that they had poured the cement from a mix in a wheel barrow. Less than a year later we are having issues with some cave-in around that repair. We have not contacted him to come back and evaluate/correct the problem(s) as we are sure he will either deny those problems are related and or require more money. He saw an opportunity to take advantage of an old church that has a small congregation with limited funds as well as the fact neither my wife or I were in any condition to make decisions nor oversee the work. He was done in less than 2 days and now in my opinion was less than what he could have done for what he charged. Shame on him. I would strongly advise that if you hire him do so with caution, make sure everything agreed upon is in writing with his signature and make sure he/his crew are not left unattended.

Description of Work: Repaired concrete around front of house, resurfaced.

Description of Work: Chimney was leaning towards the house, was taken down to just above the roof line and rebuilt. Re-pointed several spots all along the house, repaired, reinforced and poured new concrete porches in the front and back of the house. Built a stone wall on front porch, installed paver walkway and paver patio. Brought in top soil and graded after work finished.

Description of Work: Removed concrete steps from the front of our house and adjacent broken concrete slabs.

Description of Work: Pressure washed the outside of a chimney and the chimney foundation, removing moss. Repaired broken pieces of the foundation and loose bricks and finished the foundation in concrete substitute. Remortored chimney as needed. Put flashing above chimney to prevent water from splashing chimney. Inside, cleaned and coated bricks on chimney to prevent white powder from forming. Vacuumed and left the room as clean as it started. Also repaired front steps by reconcreting corners of one step, as requested.

Description of Work: I had some water damage to the top layer of block in my foundation that borders my garage due to my house not having gutters for 50 years. The block was chipping away and there were also several cracks that needed repair.

Description of Work: Exterior foundation was repaired in several spots and sealed. A paver walkway was installed.

Description of Work: My garage floor was cleaned, de-greased and acid washed over a period of two days. Then a layer of Mascrete (a cement-latex mixture) was applied over the entire garage floor. The slope of the floor was changed so that the water would drain properly out of the garage instead of towards the walls.
