Clark Moving & Storage of Albany Inc

A good friend used Clark for a recent move, and spoke very highly of them. That recommendation, combined with Angie's list, was enough for me. Andy came to the house, checked everything out, and was incredibly thorough. We talked options, and he gave me two ranges - one if their guys did almost everything, and another for their guys schlepping mainly furniture and pre-packed boxes. Both quotes were reasonable given the task. When I called to schedule (our closing was pushed up by a few days), they were unable to do it. I ended up hiring the next company on the list, also highly recommended, but was impressed enough by Clark to warrant writing this. If I need a mover in the future (hopefully not too soon), they will be at the top of the list.

They were excellent ! We were involved in the real property closings for both homes that day and Clark movers, along with our poor daughter who acted on our behalf, took care of everything. They knew we were in a pinch for time and even arrived early to make things go a little smoother for us. The office staff was also wonderful and helped us out when asked. I must also mention that the whole process started with Andy coming out to work up the job and he was also very professional and great at estimating the time it would take.

Everything went fine, the two workers arrived early, loaded the items, moved them to the assisted living facility and set the items up in his room.

The movers arrived right on time...in fact a bit early. They loaded everything at one stop and then came to the second location to finish. There were two men, the driver, Marco and a local hire, Andrew. They were quick, but careful and considerate. Marco drove our things to Florida where we had a winter rental. He gave me his cell number so that I could find out exactly when my things would be arriving and was there when he said he'd be there. Unloading went well and quickly and, wonder of wonders, the cost was slightly less than the estimate because the weight of the items was less than originally estimated! I would definitely use this company again!!

I would highly recommend Clark Moving and Storage. From the start to the finish, everyone I dealt with from Clark was very professional. A gentleman named Andy came to my apartment about a month before the move, gave me an estimate l after looking at what I needed to move, and that is what I paid. When the moving day came, the movers (Kevin, Shawn, and "Em") were early (!), professional, courteous, friendly, patient, and very helpful!! They did a wonderful job of wrapping my furniture in the moving blankets, so everything arrived without a scratch!! Kevin and Shawn arrived at my new destination and did everything asked of them!! As I just mentioned, all of my furniture came through the move just fine-even the 2 items I was most concerned about-my digital piano and antique secretary!! I would definitely use them again if I was to ever move back to the Capital Region!!

Clark moved our belongings to their storage facility from Aug. to Feb. while our new home was being built. Upon completion of home they moved everything back in. we had used them for moving and they were very good. I found them very personable people. It was comfortable having them in.

They were great. Their efficiency impressed me. We moved every box and every piece of furniture with it and I think it was two and a half hours, total, from the front door, start to finish. We didn't have to do anything. This company gave us very good service, was responsive, respectful.

It was a competitive price especially if you would have done it all yourself. It was a lot of work and a lot of driving. We were very happy with it all around. They came out and inspected it and gave us a good estimate for about how much it would cost. This worked out very well. They came when they said they were going to. They called to make sure we could arrange to have someone at the new home when they came.

Three guys came and spend 3 hours, plus 30min travel time. They did an excellent job. They are really careful when entering the door way or narrow places. and they did all these work almost without a stop.

The packing was expertly done and all items arrived at our new home without damage. The movers worked efficiently and provided all the promised services.

Have used them twice now both with good results, they picked up and packaged furniture for storage at their location. Also on several occasions had furniture taken out of storage, easy to work with, timeliness was excellent. Would use them again withour hesitation

Overall, the move was not horrible, but there were several issues. The movers were over an hour late to start. The move took a total of two hours longer than the high end of the estimate even though I had already moved a large number of boxes previously (which meant that we should have finished 2-3 hours under the estimate). I believe a part of the issue was that the estimate was optimistic (I think an honest mistake and not on purpose) and the rest of it was that the crew did not move with a sense of urgency. One the positive side, the movers were careful. They did a good job of wrapping and protecting furniture. As far as I can tell nothing was damaged. The crew kept working until 7 pm.

The entire moving experience went more smoothly than I expected. They did loose one small knob from an end table, but did make a concerted effort to find it. They were very careful with the furniture to ensure no damage. All of the people were very friendly and attentive.

This company is affiliated with Mayflower moving. I moved to the Albany area from Virginia Beach, Virginia. The moving company there is also, by coincidence, called Clark Moving. The way that they work is for the driver of the moving truck to pick up workers from affiliated companies for loading, unloading, etc. The Clark Moving in Albany assigned two terrific young men named Juwan and Dave. They were extremely professional and careful with my belongings, very cooperative, and willing to help me position furniture. So good that I took the time to give them a shout out here.

The experience was good. There were some things I would have liked to know prior to the move to be better prepared. Certain things were not communicated effectively or consistent with the employees. Overall, it was a decent move. The driver was also very good. He picked everything up from my home in Albany and delivered it to my new home in North Carolina. He double checked the boxes and had everything under control. I found that to be reassuring. The guy who I originally spoke with gave very good information on storage and the estimate was a guaranteed estimate. However, the final price was less than what he originally quoted. I got money back because it was not as expensive as they thought it would be. It did take them two days to pack but I thought they could have done it in one day. I was happy with the service.

Guys did a great job from start to finish. They were very prompt, pleasant and professional. Highly recommend.

I thought they were really professional. They gave me an estimate and it was reasonable. They showed up on time and took care of my things. The price was fine. Lot of other people wouldn't give me a straight price but what they would do is by the hour. I could have got it done cheaper but it was all for the fact that I knew where the price was going in after the benefit.

My experience with this company was so positive that I used them for three separate occasions. The movers were prompt, careful, and attentive to detail. The reasonable cost was more than worth the amount of work it saved me. I would highly recommend this vendor for any move or storage needs.

They were on time and provided good service. They were very careful with the furniture as well as their surroundings. The only problem was they were in a kind of a rental truck that did not have their tools, so they could not take apart a table that they needed to in order to move it in more easily. Also, the device in the truck that would help them unload the furniture easily broke, so it caused a little bit of extra time. I would recommend them to others. I would rate them highly and would use them again in the future if necessary.

I got a great estimate from Clark Moving and did not have a min number of hours for the move so I choose them. Don and Steve came right on time and moved me very quickly. I was moving from a 1 bedroom apartment to a 3 bedroom house so I have a fair of stuff. They started at 9 and where finished by 1:30 even with travel time. Don and Steve did a great job keeping my stuff and my new house from any damage. They don't smoke (other in the company do, so be careful.) So they didn't waste time with cigarette breaks or get smoke onto my things. I would use Clark again in a minute but ask for Don and/or Steve.

After meeting with several companies, we hired Clark Moving and Storage. We decided to go with them primarily because our salesperson, Andy. At the estimate, he was very professional, knowledgeable and thorough. We just got the feeling that he would do it right. Before the move, Andy delivered free boxes and called several times with to see how we were coming along with packing. He even showed up on the day of the move to make sure everything was going well. The day of the first move went great. The crew showed up on time and got straight to work. We were still packing at that point but they still moved quickly and carefully around us and our mess. Going into it, I thought it would take all day. But after they had moved everything onto the truck, they came back in and started packing boxes with us (something we should have completed LONG before they got there). So, with their help, we ended up finishing up early. All in all, the guys who helped us with the move were quick, careful professional, extremely courteous and even humorous. What could have been a very stressful day turned out to be? Fun? Is that possible? From there, the crew took all of our belongings to their storage facility. We ended up having to leave it in storage for 8 months until our new house was completed. I was pretty nervous... Every single thing we owned was in their care. When our new house was completed, they came and moved us into our newly built home. Many of the same guys from our first move were back again. So, as you can imagine, we had a very similar experience. Super quick, extremely professional, and? fun? After everything was in the house, we took a look around. It was a brand new home, so any damage would be easily visible. There was not a single, solitary nick, scratch or stain on any wall or carpet. And everything we owned came out of storage looking exactly the way it went in. Not a single broken or damaged item. I don?t normally write reviews, but Clark Moving and Storage did such an exceptional job that I felt I should recommend them. Moving is not something people do often, so it?s a big deal who you are going to entrust your personal belongings to. We have since recommended them to our parents and two others and they all have had very similar experiences as ours. If you are looking for moving and/or storage ? call Andy at CM&S.
