Easy and quick visit. Would recommend.

David from Affordable Electric was very responsive. We originally contacted him back in August regarding a number of items we wanted to address. David came out promptly and emailed us a quote within a few days of the visit. We settled on waiting until the winter at which time we decided to just have a dedicated outlet installed in the basement. I emailed David to inquire if he was still interested in doing the work. He called back within two days to set something up on the schedule. He arrived right on time for the appointment and completed all work quickly and professionally. He reviewed his work with me and we also discussed some other possible work for the future. He also made a few helpful recommendations based on his observations. All in all, dealing with Affordable Electric was a very good experience. We will definitely call on their services again in the future.

I called Affordable Electric, left a message, and they returned my call within one hour. They came for the scheduled appointment on time. Kevin and Alan were very courteous, quick, professional, and solved the issue very quickly. I woud definitely use them again.

The work David did was very professional and he paid close attention to details. The new service line runs in conduit through the garage and David did a great job installing the conduit with multiple bends or curves so it is out of the way and protected. There were two electricians and a helper on the job. David worked on the service line, meter connection, and master cut-off switch. I would give the job an A for quality except that when the new circuit breaker box was connected to the house wiring no record was kept to match the old circuit numbers to the numbers in the new box. A second electrician installed the new circuit breaker box and connected it to the house wiring, and continued working after David left for another job. When I asked the second electrician about mapping the circuits I was told he and the helper would do that at the end and that he never tries to keep track of the old circuit numbers and the identifications listed in the old box because they are often incorrect and he would rather re-map them. He tried to use the electronic circuit detector--it is plugged into an outlet and then the breaker is detected in the basement. That didn't work well so they started turning breakers on and off to see which outlets were associated with a circuit. In the end less than half of the circuits were identified by them and I had to determine which circuits controlled the kitchen appliances, furnace, ceiling lights, outdoor lights, and the majority of the outlets. If he had kept track of the relationship between the old circuit breaker box identification numbers and the new box, it would have saved him and me a lot of time and effort.

I would heartily recommend Affordable Electric. The electricians were punctual, knowledgeable, courteous and explained everything they were doing. They did not hesitate to ask questions and addressed all of my concerns. I will have them back to do some additional work soon. My newly-installed ceiling fixture (which I supplied) required additional wire and chain for the higher ceiling in my new home, so they took it back down and did not charge me. They recommended an electrical supply house who is making the modifications required. They were very professional and lived up to my expectations.

My first experience with Affordable Electric (Dave and Kevin) was on Sept 7th when a breaker failed due to overloaded circuit. What they discovered when making that repair is that I had multiple breakers double tapped. My house is over a hundred years old so needless to say it was in need of an upgrade. Dave called me when they thought they were going to be late which I appreciated very much. Kevin arrived exactly at the time they indicated and went right to work. Affordable Electric went far beyond my expectations with the installation of the new grounding system at no charge! Everything else was very reasonably priced.

A young man came to put up the fan. He had to leave and drive to home depot to buy a box. Then he came back and put the fan up. He charged me $118 for the box because he went to home depot to get it. The over the phone estimate was $95 and I ended up paying $260. Additional cost for high ceiling acceptable to me. But I thought $118 for the box was a ripoff. The young associate did not understand the charges that his boss told him to make and was going to charge me $370 . I refused to pay that without talking to the boss. The boss never let me talk to him but figured out the young man had mistakenly overcharged me.It was a disaster.I paid the $260 and wasn't too happy about it.

I got a quote from someone at Affordable Electric three weeks after he came out. By then it was too late as I had hired another company that a friend had recommended. The gentlemen who came out was very professional and walked all around the house and everything. I was ready to hire them but they were too slow in responding. There was no follow-up.

2 persons arrived on time before 8 am. We were allowed to use their portable generator, which was an unexpected pleasure, kept the refrig cold. Team worked through the day, no long breaks. Passed city electrical inspection, and once National Grid finished their pole work, we were good to go! Power back on by 3 pm. They use quality parts, perform quality work. Neat. Complete. Highly recommend!

He said he would give me a quote for the price to do the job. After he left, that was all I heard from him. I sent him a follow up email and I never heard back from him.

Let us know the process, updated us frequently, and went out of his way to ensure we had power.

They were very good. They gave an estimate. They were professional and prompt. They did a good job. I feel confident that what they did is safe and proper in our home. I'm going to call them again.

It went well. I was very pleased. They called me back in a timely manner and they arrive on time to the appointment they had set with me.

He sent us the estimate over the weekend, we called and accepted his price and we set the date for the AM of the 5th of June to complete his work. He had to call and reschedule it for the afternoon of this date. He worked in about two hours and cleaned up after his work. We would hire him again. A pleasant man who did great work!
