Affordable Electric

I got a new stove. They had to put in something for my new stove. There were things they did, they did a lot of things. Changing out light bulbs, installing lights and plugs, outlets and things like that. I keep using them, They put in the new electrical panel. They work here a lot. There are some more things that need to be done. They are who I will call.

Reasonable, does really good job. Will call if there is a hold up on time of arrival. Answered questions and is willing to work with people.

They showed up when they said they would, and did an Awesome job! They were very professional, kind, neat, clean and honest. I will be using this company for all of my electrical needs, and will recommend them to anyone in need of an electrician.

I'm so sorry I cannot remember this young man's name. He was the most honest and kind service person I have ever met. The electrical system in my home upon purchase was a mess. No electrical outlets in the bathroom; just a ceiling fixture. The previous owners had multiple hanging lights and entertainment speakers in the basement. Affordable Electric asked me if he could take pictures of the outside outlets for lights and speakers around the pool to show his apprentices He said he had never seen anything in such dangerous condition. He showed me the defects on the circuit breaker panel and on the outside wires entering my house. I mentioned that I had purchased this money pit and became unemployed the next year. He mentioned that his wife had been unemployed. He was more than generous in charging me for his excellent, professional service. I am so grateful to him and definitely recommend him to everyone.

It went great! I had contacted the company about a ceiling fan whose pull chain failed and would not turn off. The owner discussed the options, quoted me a fair price, and scheduled the installation quickly. The workers who came were polite, made suggestions about optimal performance, thanked us for moving furniture ahead of time, and set up the fans to our preferences. Very happy with the job done.

This company is a mixed bag of reviews. They are professional - their prices are more than Fair & the Quality of the Work is Excellent. However!! That is when you can get them to show up!! He is notorious for cancelling, being late or "forgetting" your appointment. These guys have you between a rock & a hard place because it is nearly impossible to find quality and RELIABLE service anymore. Plumbers & Electricians are awefull around here - I have been trying to finish one project literally for TWO years!! "IF" and I mean if they show up they leave and never get back to you. Seriously! I definitely do not want to hear any excuses about how difficult the times are. There are people who need work done if these lazy farts would just get off their butts and do the work. I think too that they give you a quote and set up an appt; then a bigger costlier job comes along so they just "forget" about you & know if you need them bad enough you'll wait. It's BS I tell you! But you know this company does do great work but here I am needing them and once again if you call him I'm getting that old message "mailbox full" so you can't leave a message for him.

Entire process went exceedingly well. Contractor was prompt with estimate. Price was fair. there was no significant time lag between estimate and work start. Crew was hardworking, competent and communicative. Cleanup was excellent. I am happy with project and would recommend Affordable Electric to others.

I never got a chance to get any work done due to the company not bothering to show up or give a courtesy call explaining why they never showed.

I called at during business hours approximately 2:30 in the afternoon. I wanted to leave a message but his voice-mail was full. I gave an F for responsiveness because I wasn't able to contact him via a phone call, so no response can be made on his part. I gave a D for professionalism because it is below fair when a business's voice-mail is too full to even take a message. I might use this provider in the future and adjust any future review if I can be contacted by the provider and a resonable explanation can be given for not being able to reach them or leave a message.

They were great, very responsible, very attentive. They were pretty thorough. The only thing that was very strange was that at the very, very end when they were all done with everything, I couldn't get a hold of them anymore. I called them and I needed a receipt and left messages and e-mailed and I never heard back. They had just disappeared. But the work they did was pretty good. They are hard to get a hold of. They did professional, competent work. It felt comfortable and safe to have them around the house.

Once they arrived, they were friendly, professional, fast, and highly competent. And very reasonable. AFFORDABLE, as they promise. I recommend them fully and plan on using them again.

Dave never called or showed up. THIS IS ANOTHER FAILURE OF ANGIES LIST AND ITS PROVIDERS. YOU CAN NOT GO BY ANGIES LIST.

These guys are so good you scratch your head and ask yourself, how do they do that. great team, super courteous, very professional. Never act like they are in a hurry. They move right along and get to it. I've used them 3 times and have them scheduled for a 4th project.

This was an emergency call on New Years Eve. The response was prompt. The price was very reasonable. They even offered to clean up the dust generated by replacing the outlet. Would recommend to anyone!

It went great. They were on time and finished before they were suppose too. They cleaned everything up. I thought they were excellent and friendly. I would recommend them to anyone and use them again.

I used this electrician before and was very pleased with them. They are very honest and trustworthy and reliable. I left my back door to the house open and he came in did the work and cleaned up so well you wouldn't even know they were there. I would very highly recommend them to my friends and family.

Overall the work was alright. Everything works, which was the important part. They were timely and responsive to my request for an estimate and prompt with service. There was an initial confusion (mostly mine) over the cost of the installations, but to their credit, David absolutely honored the original quote. The original quote had been discounted, as it was for a significant amount of work. I opted to only get some of the work done, but they still honored the lower cost quote, for just the partial work. I would highly recommend AE, and have used them again since this initial transaction.

Ridiculous estimate – I was misinformed by Affordable Electric, they stated that I was not getting enough amps from our electric line, they said I was getting 60 amps, when what I needed was 100. They said that the box and all wiring running back to the meter had to be replaced. The cost would be $1200.00. They never did any estimate for the kitchen remodeling as I requested. I called the electric company to confirm this, and they sent a representative out and found that I was getting 100 amps according to our meter. I went with another company who put in a 100 amp fuse box, added 6 outlets, and wired three new exterior lights, all for $250.00.

We're very, very happy with Affordable Electric. We'd had work done by him before and the reason we called him back was because we were very satisfied with the work that he did a couple of years ago. We're just as satisfied with the work he did in the last couple of weeks. He's coming back to do some additional work for us that we weren't quite ready for when he was here the last time. David and his crew do outstanding work. I left the guy alone in my house without any qualms. There's very few people that get to be in this house without either my wife, myself, or some other family member here. The guy cleans up after himself. If there's a problem, he comes to you and explains and suggest alternatives rather than just rambling on and doing something and maybe it not turn out right. I have recommended them privately to a number of friends and relatives here in town. He comes to the house, you tell him what you want and the first thing he does is tell you he's got Workmen's Compensation insurance and shows you his certificate. He is licensed and that is require by the city. Next, you get the estimate and in no case has he ever charged me more than the estimate. He stands by his estimate. He says if he cuts the price down too low and lose money on it, that his problem. I would have him back in a heartbeat and he is coming back to finish up some stuff we couldn't get done last time.

I will go to them in the future instead of a big box store.

Everything went fairly well. They showed up on time and were professional. However, I believe driving to our home was a fairly large chunk of their charge and they did have to come back another day to finish the work because they didn't have a basic switch with them that they needed to complete the job.

I am very pleased with their work. Everything works fine. The price seems very reasonable. The workers were prompt, polite, and professional. They answered all my questions. They even did a couple of small add-ons with no additional charge.

Affordable electric was great to work with. Kevin and his coworker handled the work - they laid out the location of the lights and worked with me to determine the location of new switches as well as the relocated ones. It was a big job which required significant cuts in the ceiling and they did their best to mitigate dust and disruption. I had other work going on in the house so there were no problems with dust. The new wiring that Kevin installed was very neat and clean. Overall I am very happy with the work they performed and everything is functioning exactly as it should.

I needed exterior work done on my home, but service entrance was in the way and found to be in need of replacement prior to commencement of work. In pursuit of an electrician, I encountered many problems; no callbacks, or they made an initial inspection, but no forthcoming estimate materialized as promised, or they were cost prohibitive. In desperation, I somehow thought of Angie's List, and joined to see what I could see! I am happy to report that my first hire from Angie's List has been a very positive experience and I look forward to using Angie's again soon.
