Working with the salesman went great. He went over everything and even pointed out some other issues we had with our hot water heater and plumbing. He was very clear at what they were going to do and didn't try to oversell anything. Just wanted to get me what we needed, heat. We had no heat at all and they made sure we had the boiler installed quickly. Their installers were prompt to show up and had it all installed by the end of the day. Very neat install and made sure everything was installed the way we wanted it. Even went above and beyond replacing some bad valves that they thought should be replaced also. On the final check before their installer left, we found an issue with the control board on the boiler. They were quick to fix it the next day, and didn't ask for any payment until we were happy with everything. Thanks

We received excellent service from Adams. They were prompt with the initial review of our problem air conditioning unit. They then gave us a quote that was reasonable and within days the installation of our new unit was complete. The technicians were very professional and they were very neat.

We have been working with them for 25 years. We never had any problems.

p { margin-bottom: 0.1in; line-height: 120%; } I called Adams Heating and Cooling on 06/30 morning for central a/c unit repair service call. when I asked about scheduling a service for that day, I specifically ASKED and VERIFIED if it is possible for technician to come IN TIME TO FINISH THE WORK, BEFORE 4pm as I had to leave the house at the time. "NO PROBLEM, We'll get someone in there DEFINITELY before that", said the service manager Bill. Well, I get a call from technician at 3:15pm, saying he is on his way. I asked him if he could be done by 4pm as I had to leave the house at that time, and he says “ABSOLUTELY NOT. There's no way. Diagnostic alone would take more then 30min”(we'll come back to this particular statement so keep it in mind) and he is 20 min away. (Strike one). ok, fine. so I call the service manager immediately after hanging up with technician, and set up another appointment for next day which is7/1. Told him that I have several appointments I have to keep, so my availability is between 1pm to 5:30pm. I SPECIFICALLY asked him if this will present a problem. "NO IT WILL NOT BE A PROBLEM AT ALL!!" he said. "Tech is working until 4:30pm so we DEFINITELY will not have problem, we will have tech in between those time." well, 7/1 comes and I get a call from Adams Heating and Cooling @ 11:45am. We are on the road and trying to finish up the last of the appointment. We are NOT at home yet. I answer the call, the lady on the other line is Frazzled, and start yelling at me. She says "well, you are the last on the list for today's work, and technician needs to come in NOW, would you be available?" I tell her no, we are not even home yet, and she says. "well, then we have to reschedule you to another day". (Strike Two) I Explained to her the situation, and told her that I had SPECIFICALLY asked if my schedule would cause a problem, and each time, I was told "NO PROBLEM". The lady I spoke to further yelled and said " Well, we can't have technicians just waiting around, we can't do this." I again explained that I asked if my scheduling would be a problem before hand and was told it would not been a issue. The said lady sighed a big sigh (of someone dealing with difficult person) "...THIS is THE reason why we don't do SPECIFIED appointment, we cant let technicians sit around doing nothing" (strike THREE). First of all, it isn't a specified appointment. it was a RANGE of time that spanned half a day!!! and I had REPEATEDLY asked, if it would cause a problem. To which answer I received each time was “NO PROBLEM”. I had very HIGH hopes for ADAM's Heating and Cooling. But I can't deal with a company that 1) can't keep a appointment promises that they re-assured on multiple occasions as “NO PROBLEM” 2) makes customer feel like the problem is on our side, when in fact, company is the one failing to live up to their own words. If they are charging $109 for first 30min (we'll come back to this as well, so keep this rate in mind), and $35 for each additional 15min, I would expect them to be able to keep the schedule they have promised. IF they can't keep the simple scheduling promise, I can't imagine HOW they can live up to any other promises of quality of their work. I found another service that charged much less, and was upfront about what they can do and can't do instead of promising me the world and not deliver. For a complete run around they gave me for simple scheduling, and service rep calling me and yelling at me for THEIR mistake, they get 1 star. Additionally on rates: Service manager Bill said “...IF problem is solved within ½ hours, we'll not charge you a cent over $109” The technician I spoke to said “Diagnostic alone would take MORE THEN ½ hours” Service manager isn't lying in his statement, true, but draw your own conclusion about what the tech said and what it means.

Arrived on time - first appointment of the day. Drained old HW heater and replaced with similar model. replaced HW and CW valves on feeds going into and out of the hot water tank. Added gas shut off valve and replaced some of the gas line going to the tank. Entire job took about 2.5 hours - very clean and professional. My only complaint is the price - seemed high for a standard HW tank. But I had called several others and only 1 was lower and only by $200. One of the key reasons I went with Adams is they are local and have a good reputation. If there is an issue with the system they are close by.

We were optimistic based on the other reviews here. The salesman who set up the appointment was great, however the techs showed up two hours early and things went downhill fast. Our contract clearly stated we wanted our dryer vent done as well as the ducts. Three hours in I asked if they wanted to see our dryer vent. One of the techs yelled at me saying we started late (which we hadn't, we started an hour earlier than our appointment) and that we took too long in our walk through, wasting his time! It was all because his boss didn't want to pay him after the 4th hour (not my problem). He scared me with his yelling and rudeness. They also smelled very strongly of smoke, so the family members who have breathing problems had to leave. I would say that we were treated very poorly even though we were looking forward to the expensive but necessary service.

Very professional and reasonably priced.

(1) First available appointment was one week out. (2) Did not receive a call back for an estimate on the heating and cooling units until a week later, despite two phone calls to request the estimate. Service by the technician was fine, the issue is scheduling and little interest from the sales staff. Went with another company who was very responsive. We bought the new units and a service contract, and they call to remind us when service is due.

Adams has delivered a quality product with each and every service call. We moved into a new home and found out about a few issues with the HVAC system and called Adams. It was checked, cleaned and functioned until its age caught up with it, and it needed to be replaced. Adams performed the job well and we're nice and cool now! I'd call them again for any HVAC needs.

They were very good. It was a young man that came, but he was very pleasant. I actually expected the repair to be much more, but he found something simple to fix it. So, I was very pleased. My interaction with him was very good and the work turned out very good.

I have been dealing with Adams for a couple of years now, so I was comfortable leaving a key. The night after they performed this latest job was the first night that I spent in that bedroom this winter that I did not need an electric heater to supplement my hot water baseboard heat. Great job! I thoroughly recommend this company.

Because I have a wood stove in the house, I was able to take my time and get 4 separate estimates for the new furnace. Adams came in with the best estimate, but 3 out of the 4 were pretty similar. The thing that impressed me about Adams is that the estimator came with his son and they noticed I had a slow leak in the pipe serving my hot water heater. He told me he would have the installer take care of that for me at no extra charge. I liked the estimator--he did not try to sell me up into a system I did not need (two of the others DID try to sell me a furnace larger than my house needed and a bunch of smart functions I didn't need). When they installed the furnace, the installer did a fine job. The main reason I am giving them a B instead of an A is that the installer came up with a pretty lame excuse for not fixing the pipe headed to the hot water heater as the estimator promised. I am reasonably handy so I went to Home Depot and both a compression fitting and replaced the leaky fitting myself. It was not a big deal, but the fact that they promised to do it and then didn't--giving a lame excuse that turned out to be wrong--I fixed it myself that same day--was annoying.

The service providers were on time, courteous, respectful of the property(carpets, outdoor landscape), and informative when asked to explain the process. The work was completed in an efficient manor and when finished they cleaned the area and explained the service. The smell appears to be gone and all is well for Christmas!

The first appointment was from 2pm to 4pm, since this was a rental property our tenant was there until 4pm. They didn't arrive until 4:15pm. When I called and rescheduled Adams was very nice and came out to the property again. I also asked follow up questions over email and they were very good about getting back to me.

Adams always does a great job! They installed a hot water heater in our last house, one in this house and now the furnace. Their sales man was honest and knowledgeable and the cost was fair. The installers showed up on time, worked diligently, cleaned up afterwards, and trained me on the operation of my new thermostat. I tried to use another contractor because I had a coupon once and they messed up my furnace, so I was happy to have them back.

I called Adams realizing that the timing was not ideal as it was the first really cold weather of the season- great time to lose your heat! John was very helpful and said that he would get someone to help as soon as he could. As promised the technician called before he came and he was able to come that afternoon. He worked quickly and efficiently to diagnose the problem. Because we have a furnace that Adams does not typically service, he needed to order a part. For the weekend (this was a Friday), he wired our furnace blower to run continuously until the new part arrived. I was thrilled that we would have heat! The following week the part arrived and was installed. Again, the communication was great and the technician came when expected and called me when he was on his way. It is nearly a month later and our furnace is running smoothly. I feel that the cost of the service was very fair. I would recommend Adams to a friend or family member. Thank you John and your team!

We called on a weekend and they came right over and were very quick and friendly.

My wife stayed home from work for, what I was told, an 8:30am Adams Heating and Cooling appointment. I was at work when my wife e-mailed me at 9:10am stating that Adams was not there yet. I checked my mobile phone and saw that Adams had left a message at 9:03am. The message stated that a technician was available and if I did not call back within 10 minutes, they would send him onto another job and I would have to reschedule. Also included in the message was that the appointment was made for the time period 8:30am to 12:00pm, for which I was not informed of when I made the appointment. I was told 8:30am. I will be using another service.

Cleaned furnace, vacuumed pipes, changed and adjusted nozzle. Checked exchange - the regular.
