Very professional, easy to deal with. Cost was exactly as quoted and they offered more than one solution. Had a small leak on the top of the water tank 6 weeks after install, one call, they came out the next day, no charge (tightened a loose valve). Like me, you'll probably find cheaper but I'm glad I opted to pay a little more and get first rate service. I'd use them again.

He put too much refrigerant in because he didn't check the inside unit first and the cover was off. So we got to pay for the time he spent taking refrigerant back out. He wasn't able to find the leak. He tried to charge for 15 minutes he spent sitting in our driveway after he arrived; the price was $315 until I called him on that.

They showed up on time. Professional, friendly staff. Delivered what they promised.

This was the second time we had used Adams. We needed them because we were clueless about how oil furnaces work and we got it wrong. The first person who came out was fine. The second person who came out was amazing. He cleaned the thing that starts the ignition thing (see, I'm still pretty clueless) and showed me how to prime and restart my furnace. I still don't know what the bits are called, but I am empowered to know how to do it AND know at which point I need to call Adams. Those things are incredibly valuable to me. Administratively, I found the staff very professional and friendly. It was easy to schedule and everyone was on time. My husband had some kind of scheduling SNAFU with them as they dialed the wrong area code (thus the B grade) when they said they would call. To be fair, our area code is 512 and the area code here is 518. Really, the onus is on us to either go out of our way to point out the difference or change our phone number so people can get it right the first time. I will definitely use them again!!!

We returned from out of town to an AC unit that was not working. Since we were new to the area approximately 1 year ago, I contacted a company I had used to clean and inspect the HVAC system after we moved in. They were very busy and could not offer me an appointment, so back to Angie's List I went. Found Adams Heating and Cooling and boy, am I happy I did!!! Not only could a technician come out today, he called and came out early!!!! Diagnosed the problem, indicated it might take a bit for him to get the correct part, but he expected to return later this afternoon. He was back within an hour and had the system working, checked out and cleaned for the season!!!! I cannot tell you how IMPRESSED I am!!! Fast, friendly, professional and very competent!!!! Would I recommend them? ABSOLUTELY! Would I call them again? ABSOLUTELY!!!! I could not be happier!! Honest!

Installers were on time both days, they were courteous and polite. They cleaned up after themselves, explained everything and showed me how to use the new thermostat.

On 3/13, the furnace stop functioning and I was without heat. I called Adams and they sent a tech. He serviced and cleaned the flame sensor. Not wanting to argue with the tech, I paid the bill. The tech agreed this should have been done on 10/9 and if it had been, the sensor would not have caused the shutdown. Adams was contacted and the manager said he would refund half of the 3/13/ bill. I did not think I should have to pay twice for furnace cleaning and be without heat for hours in March. I requested a full refund of $102.60 (invoice 118120 dated 3/13/13). I never received a check. I will never have their service again

First time they were here quickly, replaced part, very reasonable. This time, cleaned and vacuumed. Did not make noise while he was here -- when I described the noise, he explained the reason and it made perfect sense. Said the unit was in great shape for its age (30 years) though not as efficient as new models - maybe only 75-80%. Did not recommend replacing at this time.

Adam's was very responsive and punctual. They called back right away and sent a repairman that afternoon. The repairman had the part and showed us what was repaired and how we could troubleshoot issues in the future.

Water Heater: Paul, the installer, was prompt, very courtesous, and professional. He answered any and all questions that we had, not only pertaining to the water heater. Plan to call them again to do an air conditioner check up. Furnace: Kevin also prompt, professional and courteous. I really appreciated him working around my work schedule by making me his last call of the day. Have always received great service from Adams will continue to use in the future. Although we could have gotten the water heater $50 cheaper with a competitor, we picked Adams because we are happy with their service.

I woke up to find the heating system was out. I called Adams around 10AM and they said they would send someone out between 12-4 PM. I was happy to get a phone call from the technician Rich about 40 minutes later. He diagnosed the problem and fixed it within 30 min. Overall, I was satisfied with the technician's quick response. I would call this company again for any future problems I might have.

Aside from the miscommunication regarding the initial install date things went smoothly. Very professional and responded to all my calls / emails promptly.

The service call was fine. The service man called prior to arriving to let me know he was on his way. He arrived during the hours I was told to expect him. I was glad the fellow asked if he should wear "booties" over his boots as I have new carpeting in one of the areas he was inspecting. The call took less than an hour overall and involved inspection of my furnace and water heater. I was impressed that the service man took a look at an exhaust fan for the water heater which we had purchased but didn't install (it was too complicated for my husband to do); if this has been a useful fan to use ADAMS would have used it to save us some money.

The job was late getting started but I received a call from the office explaining the delay. Kyle the technician was pleasant, professional and explained each step to me. The procedure went well, although having the door open for an extended period of time in the cold weather was uncomfortable. I think I'd wait until late spring or summer next time. Otherwise I was very satisfied with the job done and felt that Kyle was an excellent representative for Adam's.

Excellent from start to finish. Great communication ,quality products, and incredibly neat installation. Top notch company and service. Highly recommended.

From first contact to end product was excellent. My initial call was returned promply (no heat). Call back within 4 hours. Tech on-site first thing in the morning. Evaluated my furnace (60 years old)....time for up date. Price quoted for new furnace was very affordable. Accepteded the deal and furnace was installed witin a week. Outstanding techcnicians installed new furnace. Very happy with Adams. A great job from start to finish. Highly Recommended!

On the first cold night of the year, I found that there was no heat to the upstairs part of the house. After calling around to several H/AC places, Adams managed to fit me in relatively quickly. No small feat, given the start of colder weather. Paul came out on time and quickly diagnosed the problem. (After being scared by my cat, who seems to have discovered a preference for sleeping on the furnace.) Paul was very professional and seemed quite knowledgeable about the type of furnace I have. He quickly fixed the problem, and the heat is now flowing. He clearly explained what needed to be done and how the final bill was tallied. I will definitely call them in the future. I also was impressed that Adams has a very helpful and capable woman answering the phone during business hours, since I get frustrated with answering machines. Well done, Adams!

Project went well. Adams was here in time. This company installed a heat pump that meets the design requirements of my condo association. They had already e-mailed me the breakdown of how much project would cost. There were no surprises. I was dsatisfied then..and I still am satisfied now.

Our compressor had stopped working the Thursday before they replaced it. I called & they had someone out the next morning for a service call. They couldn't figure out why it had stopped working since it was only 3 years old & we hadn't any issues prior. So they replaced the compressor under warranty, we only paid for the labor. They were in & out in under 2.5 hours.

They did an excellent job. They showed up on time, were pleasant, and explained everything before he did anything. There was a piece that could be potentially bad that he found. It was a minimum job to replace it. I felt like he was able to do something for me to be proactive to not have a heat problem in the winter.

I could physically see that the ducts were clean. They have also serviced the furnace when I had a problem in the past.

I have used their several times. They are on time and they come immediately when there is an emergency. They provided excellent services. I highly recommend them!

John Raucci was the first of 5 contractors to come to the house when I called around for estimates. He knew right away why my old furnace blower failed and recommended the right air ducting to avoid this problem from happening with my new furnace. The other 4 contractors were not as quick to recognize this. John really knows his stuff. After receiving all the estimates and going around a few times with each of the candidate contractors I finally chose Adams. This is not because Adams has the best price which is why Adam's gets a B for price. The installers from Adams that came to do the install were excellent. They removed my old gas-fired hot air furnace and humidifier and installed a high efficiency replacement, plus a humidifier and thermostat in about 8 hours. The workmanship was impressive. For example, the exhaust and fresh air PVC pipes were hung with sturdy hangers every 48 inches. The water drainage pipes had extra loops and look very well placed. The extra duct work that my 5 ton A/C required is tight and tidy. They swept the area and left absolutely no trace of my old furnace (good riddance!).
