Description of Work: Adams Heating did a great job replacing our 30 year old boiler with an energy efficient model. The job took a couple days and they were very punctual and did good work. They also did an energy audit for us and we'll look to take some action on those items to make the house more energy efficient. I would use them again without hesitation.

Description of Work: No heat. Guy came over same day, service good, price good. It was something stupid. That's all I remember.

Description of Work: I spent too much money just to be told my electric heat doesn't work and they don't fix electric heat.

Description of Work: We had a new furnace and hot water tank replaced, removing a furnace that was probably 40-50 years old. The workman arrived on time, as scheduled and finished the installation in an extremely timely manner. We were told the job would take all day, but by around 2:30 pm they were packing up - all done. The job was done without any mess. The workers explained the system and how it operates before they left, and left all the appropriate papers with the new appliances. It cost a little more than we anticipated, but the system has been working well and so far we are very satisfied.

Description of Work: I sent Adams Heating and Cooling a request for an estimate on the installation of Central Air Conditioning on Sunday,July 24,2011. John Raucci responded to me within the day and arrived at my home right at the time scheduled to look through my home and prepare quotes for the work to be done.He explained to me everything that would be done and the necessary preparations to be made before the workers would/could begin.I was not expecting to ask at this time, but because John was so professional and obviously experienced-I requested quotes for installations of a new gas heater and a new hot water heater-both of which were 20 years old at the time. John said he would work up the figures and get back to me within 48 hours. I had my quotes 24 hours later. The price for the work was competitive. We signed and Ron and Bill arrived as scheduled on August 11 and completed ALL THREE INSTALLATIONS by 11:30 a.m. on August 12, 2011. In addition to being competent , efficient, polite and respectful- Ron and Billy were meticulous in cleaning up the work areas in my home.I would and have recommended Adams Heating and Cooling to all friends, family and colleagues based on my personal experience. I also need to say that I had contacted 3 other companies for estimates re: Central Air Installation. One company did respond and came to take information to work up an estimate. Farrell Bros. was efficient re: responding to my original request, but 3 weeks later I still had no estimate in writing. Rotterdam Heating and Air Conditiong never respnded to my request for an estimate.

Description of Work: We were provided an estimate on replacing our central a/c and possibly our furnace. The gentleman that came to our home (John) was excellent. He was more of an advisor than a salesman. He was upfront and honest. He took his time to answer all our questions, point out things we did not know etc. He provided us a written estimate within 48 hours. The estimate contained everything that was to be accomplished along with model numbers of the a/c and furnace units. It also included estimates on additional work or items that could be accomplished at the time the work would be done. These "extras" were not pushed on us.
