Description of Work: We purchased a washing machine, a dryer, and a dehumidifier from Snyder's in about 2004. They delivered and installed all three. A year later we went back to them when we needed a new refrigerator. We have been very satisfied with their selection, prices, and service.

+ -1 moreExceptional service! They came out on a Saturday with relatively short notice, identified the problem and fixed it in relatively short order and for a reasonable price. Will definitely use Snyder for any other appliance needs!

+ -1 moreAfter another company failed to resolve the problem after three visits (with charges), Peter quickly diagnosed the problem (correctly), and fixed it. Unlike the other company that required scheduling weeks in advance with an indefinite arrival time, Snyder fit us in ahead of the scheduled time, within a couple of days, and spent the time it took to correctly locate the problem.I would definitely call them first in the future, for my gas stove or for any other appliance. Their honesty, competency, and good service would also highly recommend them to me for purchasing a new appliance.

+ -1 moreI am quite sure the problem is fixed. He removed the ice build-up, made changes to the drain system and showed me how to check to see if problems were reoccurring. When I called I noted to the receptionist that I was temporarily disabled and VERY dependent on my freezer. She made sure I had service on the same day I called. Many thanks to H L Snyder!!

Description of Work: My refrigerator stopped cooling and the display on the door just kept cycling through the various options. I called Snyder's for service and the lady I spoke to suggested unplugging it, waiting a minute and plugging it back in. That fixed it and I had no service charge. She was wonderful.

Description of Work: I bought a new washer and dryer from them. When the washer was installed it made a very loud noise which I felt was not right. I had to actually play the sound of this machine on their answering machine. They kept giving me one story after another about the machine needed to break in etc. I wanted them to give me a different machine and they just kept stringing me along, until they listened to the answering machine tape. Then when the delivery guy brought the new machine he was quite unpleasent. Another time I needed a repair on a different washer. The guy left his tools in the basket and when I went to use the machine the basket got all chewed up. I wanted them to replace the basket since thay caused the problem and they gave me a hard time about that too. The business is very convenient to people in saugerties and the owners and repair guys can be very nice, I just didn't like being treated like I did something wrong for standing up for myself

Description of Work: The glass window on my Decor wall oven cracked on a Tuesday afternoon. I phoned Snyder's immediately, desperate since I had 9 coming to a special dinner on Friday night. Within 15 minutes, they phoned back, located the part from their suppliers, scheduled the repair, and assured me that all would fine. By Thursday afternoon, as promised, their expert repairman Peter competed the repairs and left my kitchen spotless. The kindness and responsiveness of the office staff was without compare. And please consider them when purchasing appliances vs big box.
