Greg Cherubini

He never returned my two calls.

I called Greg and we had a quick conversation, after which he agreed to come to my house on Sunday. He said he had my number from the call and that he would call back to get my address. After two days went by I called him again, thinking maybe he couldn't find the number. He answered and I asked if he was still up for the job. He said yes indeed and that he would call me back to get the address, but he was definitely on for Sunday. That day just came and went and no Greg. Greg was given the opportunity to bow out, the least he could have done is called to say he couldn't make it. Instead, he kept us waiting for an entire week. It's given me a bad first impression of Angie's List as well.

We discovered Greg via a Craig's list ad and had him come to our home in Stone Ridge, NY to provide a quote for painting our downstairs interior. He was very responsive via email and showed up to provide the quote at our earliest convenience. His quote for the job was very reasonable and we were impressed by his demeanor and his appraisal of the project details. We hired him shortly after receiving the quote and he was able to start immediately. Greg works primarily on weekends but was able to finish the job in a very reasonable time frame. We provided the paint and he did the rest (with his own tools and supplies). We felt very comfortable leaving our keys with Greg and he had access to our home on several weekends when we weren't home. We were very happy with the level of workmanship and attention to detail that Greg exhibited on the job. He's also a very nice guy; we felt comfortable interacting with him, making requests and clarifying the project. At no time did the project's costs expand beyond the initial estimate and Greg completed the job as agreed upon. We will be calling on Greg again for future work and look forward to recommending him to neighbors. He also performs lawn care, snow-plowing, general maintenance & contracting services, though we have yet to contract with him for those services.
