Description of Work: Brian Hommel, his younger brother and their aids are perfectionists. I have used them several times over the years from 2008 to 2012 for window & door installations. I've only had a little bit of money to do piece meal improvements on my house each year (times being tough and all) and Brian was completely adaptable & generous to my needs. You won't find more meticulous tradesmen anywhere. Over 3 years his several window installations impressed me so much I decided to have him change my front storm/ security door. It was done so well & improved the house's appearance so much I decided that the following year he could change my rear entry door. My Back door was was a horror of wind & water leaks due to house settling & wood swelling. Brian installed an ornamental steel & glass energy saving replacement door including new jams. He had the precision tools to assure that the heavy metal door was balanced & straight and that it swung open properly (not scraping the floor nor leaving gaps when closed) and was light & easy to open & close. There were no squeaks nor rattling noises as before and now when you close the back door, it's so tight it reminds me of the VW Beetle doors that would pop your ears when closing. After he or his workers were done, they made sure that the house was left in the same condition it was found. No saw dust, scrap material, dirt or foot prints were ever left behind. They even brought their own vacuum cleaner to finish up so everything was clean. Brian & his employees were always perfect gentlemen, both on the telephone & in person, they would talk with you politely momentarily then return to work without a fuss. When the crew broke for lunch they were back at work 75 minutes later each & every time.

Description of Work: Please note that the services performed were from 2008 to 2011 but Angies list does not accept a span of years. This is not a usual review in that I met Brian via Lowes a number of years ago ( and submitted a review then) when he was sent out to install a new door in our attic. He did such an amazing job that when it came time to replace 20 + windows, I went with Lowes with the proviso that I would only order the windows if Brian would be the installer. He's just that good. After that large window installation, I then went on to have 2 storm doors installed and about 8 storm windows. He is punctual, responsive, with an incredible work ethic. He has a crackerjack team that work for him. When there were the inevitable glitches that occurred with a large project, he came out and made the corrections/adjustments immediately. I am so glad he has transitioned into an independent contractor. Although I haven't used his services since he's left Lowes, based on his previous work for me, I give him the highest recommendation. I know that anyone who chooses him for their projects will have the same positive experience that I had. You can't go wrong with this guy!
