+ -1 moreI hired Stuart Thomas of Reality Realty to show us a few houses we might be interested in purchasing. He emailed us a 12 month buyers contract along with 9 other documents which he did not explain and we signed and sent them back. We had no idea it was atypical for buyer's agents in the area to ask for a 12 months buyer's contract at 3% when typical commission is 2.5%. One month ago today I explained to Stuart that we were unable to work with him due to a variety of reasons. He has not spoken to us, returned a phone call, email or text. His wife, Karen Thomas, emailed us that they would not release us from the contract. I offered them $1000. and told them if we purchased a house he showed us that he would get the commission. Karen said again they would not grant the release. He has us on the hook for the next 10 months and we had to hire an attorney.... Suzanne Center
