We were rescheduled several times, had to purchase more kerosene unexpectedly. We were left w/out heat (in November) for 24hrs (myself pregnant and 2 small children in the house). The contractor assured us he would be able to convert our boiler and then, in the middle of doing so, admitted he had never done so before. He had to leave to go watch someone else to see how it was done. When he was unable to complete the job and had an inspector come to check his work several times, he blamed a faulty part and said he would be back in the morning to finish, leaving us all night with no heat after having gone all day with no heat. After finally completing the job, he demanded payment in full (that he had previously agreed to take payments on). He walked away from me when I was asking for help filling out required documents for NYSEG and then threatened to put a lien on my home if I did not pay him in full when all I was requesting before payment was a copy of the receipt for the part that he purchased, which I needed for the paperwork I was filling out.
Description of Work: Our boiler was converted from fuel oil/kerosene to natural gas.
