Description of Work: I called Andy about a porch light not working, he called me back right away. I sent him pictures, he fit me in the next day, he even did a removal of a electric wire for me on another light. I feel comfort in knowing the job was done right. Thanks so much Andy. Your awesome!!

When Andy arrived to connect the generator, he was careful and clear in giving me operational instructions, and was patient enough to let me write them down so I wouldn't forget the order of the process. While he was working in the basement's new electrical transfer box, I started to smell something burning but could find nothing,. I asked if he was soldering something and he said no. The house security system alarm went off and the station called. That was reasonable, as the power had to be shut off to work. The next alarm that went off was"Fire in the house-leave immediately," and the security system called again, with the same message.. Shortly thereafter, I started to check out the appliances in the kitchen, to find the source of the smell, and noticed that the microwave was not working. Somehow, it got "fried" while the electrician was working. All of my phones started to beep and flash. They were destroyed too. The alarm kept saying there was a fire, the phones kept blinking and beeping. I was unable to shut off the security system , as it was recognizing the real fire we couldn't see, aka the microwave. Andy had to cut into my custom wall unit to get the microwave out, so we could check if it was in the wall or the microwave itself. It was the microwave. I was without a microwave for two weeks because one had to be ordered that would fit into my custom kitchen cabinet, built for it. Andy called his insurance and the bills for the microwave, the phones, and the resetting of the security system were sent directly to him and his insurance company. He was cooperative, but the insurance wants me to sign off on a document that says I will never hold them liable if something else has been destroyed that we haven't recognized yet. I am not willing to do that, as I do not understand electrical wiring or what else might have been damaged. After the generator was installed and connected, it started, but the winter is over, so it wasn't usable all winter long. Andy was cooperative about the repairs but it was a harrowing experience. The insurance wants me to sign off in three weeks, but I am uncomfortable with that. If nothing else happens, I won't contact them,, but if something happens, due to this experience, I want the option of recourse.
Description of Work: Purchase and installation of a portable generator. Process began in late January. When I called to ask where the generator was, he said he had mistakenly taken it to another house and connected it, and when it wouldn't work, he realized that he needed to order another part that was not included in the estimate. The part added a nother hundred dollars to the cost. He delivered the generator but we had to wait over a month for the part, so the generator was not usable this winter.

Fast efficient. Came next day, switched breaker...answered another question I had about a dimmer, which I will change myself....i appreciated that info from him.....and was done within an hour. Smart guy.
Description of Work: Recommendable Electrician. I needed to fix a circuit breaker that kept breaking when too many things turned on.I called him Monday and he came out to my house the next day (which is excellent as most contractors don't respond quickly for a small job out here in my area) Looked at the panel, found a simple solution that solved the problem, without discoverring "additional" work and charges. He switched the circuit breaker to a double 15 and it solved the problem. He was professional, friendly and very knoweldgeable as an electrician.I would call him to work again and would reccommend him, especially out here in my area as most tradesmen only look to do the big $ jobs or overcharge for the small jobs. He was not like like during his work here....Got it done and got out. $130. was the Minimum charge for him to come out and work. He was done within an hour.

He was prompt in coming to the house to give me the estimate. He did everything he was supposed to do. He was a very nice person, but the estimate of $3700 was very high, and I could not afford the money he was asking me. He came highly recommended by two businesses. They all work in Hampden, and their expectations are different. I have an electrician in Foxboro who wouldn?t charge me that at all; for that kind of work, I would probably have to pay him $200 to $300, which is a big difference. I would consider using Andy?s Electric again in the future if they had the right price.
Description of Work: I got an estimate from Andy’s Electric to ground some outlets, put up fixtures and put in cable outlets.

Andy returned my inquiry call promptly and made an appointment for an estimate. He arrived on time and was professional and courteous. We made an appointment to have the work done and it was taken care of in a timely manner and the premises were left in an orderly and clean condition. Andy set up an appointment with the appropriate town inspector and mailed me both my bill and the Underwriters Certificate.
Description of Work: Andy's team installed 2 outdoor lighting fixtures, installed a new light near the outside shower, added an electrical outlet for the new sump pump, checked all wiring and obtained, with the assistance of the town's inspector, an Underwriters Certificate, which will allow me to apply for the required C of O on my new sunroom.
