Very good job Elvis very efficient and professional

I was shocked with the poor level of professionalism with this company. Elvis, (the owner of the company) was not clear about the timing or price for parts before the work was done. I hired him for some odds and ends around the house, and he showed up with 4 people, (including himself), the first day, (without telling me he was coming with more people), and they were mostly sitting around and chatting, or he was on the phone. One of the jobs I hired him for was to repair our storm door. He repaired it half-way, and said he needed another part. When I told him after getting the receipt, that I was not pleased with him having to come back, and the price of the parts, (because he didn't explain anything to me about it), he told me he would come back to finish the job, and then refunded me, (without me asking). I thought that was in good faith, because I was upset. I was upstairs with one of my children, and he ended up removing all of the parts he had put in, and left without saying anything. I came down to find my door more damaged by the removal. Also, it was very nasty and sneaky to do so, when he had emailed and texted me that he was coming to finish the repair, and needed my approval. I would definitely not recommend them as a service. He is overpriced, not clear on pricing, (or work he is doing), and was late 2 out of the 3 times he came; not to mention the vindictive behavior in how he left my door.

Elvis did a great job identifying the problem and addressing it in a timely manner. He responded quickly, and was punctual. He took a difficult job and completed it in less time than I thought it would take. Very polite and professional. Love the breakdown of materials on the invoice; very thorough.

Elvis did a great job. He replaced the handle and lock on the storm door, reset the door closure so it was in the correct position and, more importantly, showed much patience and a thoughtful, systematic approach to determine the root cause of the door not opening and closing the way it should. After some careful realignment it now works better than when it was originally installed. Look forward to working with Elvis in the future.

I never received a call back. I never got the courtesy of a phone call. I have a businesss. To not respond to a simple quote is bad business and completely unprofessional. Not only will I never use this business, but this is emblematic of all businesses on Angie’s List as a whole.

We paid for a service voucher, but this provider DOES NOT service our area in Yonkers, and never disclosed this information in his job description. He has not refunded our money. We have requested a refund but still waiting for this money. Hopefully "Jobs for a Handyman" will refund the money he took so my husband and I won't have to pursue legal remedies for a refund.

No work was performed and this company was not hired. They wanted a fee to conduct an estimate. There are numerous large and small construction companies that will provide an estimate without a fee . The contractor is interviewing for an opportunity to conduct work, pay him to discuss the job? Think about applying for a job, and the prospective employer paying you to interview you for the job....

You wouldn't know that the window was ever broken. 1 of the 4 panes of an exterior door was broken - Elvis was able to remove the trim, replace the glass, and then paint. He does great work.

Elvis comes with everything needed to get the job done. They are efficient, polite, clean and competent. High quality work. We've even had him back again... so this really is a glowing review based on two separate jobs.

Jobs for a Handyman did a fantastic job.

Called to get regrouting done to have a facelift on marble floors. Took two hours to finish a small bathroom floor. The grout peeled up partially 10 days after first cleaning of the floor. My floor is ruined and now it looks horrific with spots having new and old grout. I asked a grout professional to take a look I was told that floor should never have been grouted and left alone. Whats more is he poured grout residue in my toilet and now I have dried up grout that clogged my toilet that can not be celaned and I will most probably ens up replacing the toilet. Another damage caused as a result on my downstairs kitchen ceiling because he did not notice the watery grout leaked through the edge of the upstairs toilet and down onto my ceiling. Sloppy work.

Elvis was exceptional, showed up a week before the job to double check my measurements of the rough in of the attic cutout. Boy I am glad he did as I measured wrong. Then the day of the job, Elvis showed up on time with his assistant. They promptly started putting tarp down in my entryway as to not make a mess in bringing up his equipment. As I had prepped our master closet for the install, Elvis added more blankets down as to protect our wooden floors, then promptly went to work. He did an amazing, thorough, clean, exceptional job. He made sure everything was in working order, to my and his satisfaction. He finished earlier than expected and reduced his quote as he said he would if he finished sooner.He cleaned up and it was a great experience for a home improvement / repair. I would Elvis again and already have a project in mind for him. I would also refer Elvis to anyone looking for a contractor / repairmen / handyman!!!

Elvis did a good job of installing the vent hood in my kitchen. He was very attentive knowledgeable and punctual. It has been 3 months since the installation and vent hood is still working great.

He was very responsive and easy to communicate with. I work in the city. So easy, effective digital communication is very important to me when I hire someone to work on my house. Very happy with the finished result.

I am writing to update my last grade of F for Elvis. He did return free of charge to repair my doors and gave me excellent advice. Thank you !

excellent, work done professionally and per estimate

Whenever we have an issue with our house, we call Elvis of Jobs for a Handyman. He is reliable, professional, and extremely skilled at handling anything that comes up. It seems that something is always breaking or malfunctioning in our house. Our 4 year old granddaughter tells me "you need to call Elvis to come fix this." And we do.

Elvis was wonderful!. He showed up on time, worked all day and made it look easy. He was courteous and answered all questions. He cleaned up perfectly while doing the job and when he was done. What more could you ask for? Hire him, people. I'm so glad I did. I have a lot of work to get done at my home and plan on calling him again. You go, Elvis!!!!!
