Arrived 8:00AM on scheduled date. Did not add anything to the price. Crew was neat. did excellent work. Finished on time. Very nice. Gave free advice for other things i am doing myself including recommended materials and stains.

Granted this is not Gallo's fault, but the fact that all of these Angie's deals never turn out to be the price you pay (you ALWAYS miraculously have to kick in more money) is starting to wear thin on me. That said, he still did the work for about half the price as was quoted to us by another painter who we have used often in the past due to his good prices. So, I really shouldn't complain. His workers are also very nice and very professional. Punctual and clean. Gallo himself is a tad on the snippy side however, and could stand to improve his bedside manner. Nonetheless, the work is what matters most and it was done well for a great price.

This contractor was used via the purchase of a "Big Deal" of $199 for 400 sq ft of painting. I wanted to paint the kitchen and powder room with this special deal. Kitchen had wall paper; I requested the removal of the wall paper so to not paint over it. Removal of wall paper was quite expensive; this was my first experience. Upon removing the first layer, we discovered that there was another layer of wallpaper underneath the first one. In all fairness, the price was worth the work due to the difficult work of removing the wall paper. They washed the walls after the removal, then primed and painted. They would have included the paint in the price, however I requested the use of no VOC paint so I had to pay for it. The owner was quite nice and purchased the paint with his contractor discount to lower the cost for me. The job came out pretty good; although I feel they were in rush due to the heavy volume they received during the special they were advertising. I would recommend them and use them again.

Great. 2 men painted 4 walls i decided i wanted to accent my walls to give color to the linen white walls. I used a sunset beige and it really came out beautiful. The accented walls look devine against the linen white. The men were very neat. No mess.

They did excellent jobs. Very responsive and quick actions. I did not know the colors, but they found them by computer matching and recommended the most cost effective solutions. Estimate was very transparent and there was no hidden costs. The coupon is a bit tricky and it should be used BEFORE the estimate, however the price is very reasonable. I definitely use them again.

Al and his crew are super nice, worked quietly without disrupting the household, and cleaned up everything. They left the room looking great and neat as a pin.

The advice on the paint color was excellent. Because the hallway and tall long staircase is very dark, he showed me the choices out of what I had picked that would best brighten the area. We arranged for a date, he called again in advance to confirm, showed with crew on time and did a beautiful job!! Thank you.

He strung me along for 9 months and didn't have the common courtesy to return calls.

This was a large job that took four weeks to complete. This was the time estimate we received and it was accurate. The crew worked six days a week arriving each day around 8:30 and leaving around 4:30. Al Gallo was on site almost every day, many days he was there more than once. He was also accessible by phone at all times. The crew was polite, personable and very skilled. The job sites were kept as clean as possible, no easy task when scraping off popcorn ceiling material. All the work was completed to our satisfaction. We were very pleased with the outcome. Al was very helpful on color selections and also with design choices for the molding and decorative boxes. We would not hesitate to use Al's services again or recommend him to others.

Al was very responsive to phone calls and questions. His crew of two, showed up on time and did a good job cleaning up each day. I had some heavy shelves and a couch that remained in the basement; because of this, the floor took 2 days instead of 1 as they had to do 1/2 at a time. Al was accommodating. I would definitely use Gallo paint again.

I bought an Angie's List BIG DEAL coupon when I saw it advertised - for Gallo painting - a local company near me. I called the owner, Al, and he met me that night. He gave me an estimate on the spot. Al returns calls and emails promptly, so there is problem with communications. The job was scheduled and performed on the date(s) I requested, with good quality and neatness and professionalism. I had NO problems using Al and his men. They did not leave the premises for lunch and worked straight. I was not even home when the work was being done so it was like the show, "I Dream of Jeannie" Nod your head and wish for it and "BING" it was done! That easy. It took 2 days just as Al said it should and it did. No surprises. I liked that. Price was the price he gave on estimate and he applied the Big Deal coupon immediately into the estimate so I paid for was any difference in what I needed done and what the coupon covered. He included the price of the paint required so I did not even have to buy that. This was the smoothest painting job I've had done in a long time. I would recommend without hesitation.

The owner showed up on time with his staff. They were very accomodating. They cleaned up thoroghly. We intend to use them again.

Disappointed as he said the room I wanted painted before family came for the holiday required more work than just painting. He also could not do it in time period I needed AND said that the area was bigger than in the adv.

I spoke with Al Gallo twice within 6 days to schedule an appointment for an estimate. Both times he said he may be able to stop by that evening or he would call at a later time to schedule the visit. Its been a 1 1/2 weeks since I originally called him and he still has not contacted me to schedule the appointment. I will not be following up. If this is any indication of how he treats his clients, I will not be doing business with him. If Al Gallo was too busy to do the work anytime soon, I would have preferred that he tell me when he might be available or that he is not accepting new clients at this time.

Will definitely use them next time! The price was the same as the estimate - no surprises. Mr Gallo was professional, friendly, and very helpful. The price included the cost of the paint, which he bought for me using his discount. His crew worked quietly and quickly. Moved furniture, took a big mirror off the wall and rehung it for me before they left. A very pleasant experience - and the rooms look wonderful! I will certainly recommend them to friends and family.

Gallo was punctual, professional and always courteous. Their working environment was quite, not disturbing. The pain they recommended was excellent. Extremely detailed and clean. Their work was done within 4 hours.

This was an excellent experience. Al Gallo's work is very high quality. He cleaned up the job as soon as he finished & left the room spotless. My husband & I are very impressed. Mr. Gallo has a very pleasant manner & it was a pleasure to have him work in our home.
