I called two weeks ago and described how we need our bathroom painted. They were willing to come by and provide an estimate and thoughts on paint colors, which sounded great to me. I was told I would receive a call back in a few days. A week went by and nothing. I didn't contact anyone else and left a voicemail after the first week to follow-up and arrange a date. Have not received a response and it's been another week. I am out two weeks and I really should have reached out to other painters. Otherwise, from the other reviews, it sounds like this painter does a fabulous job.

It went very well! They painted a few different rooms at my brother's apartment, and the end result is very nice. We supplied the paint and they did a great job with it. I would use them again in the future as well as recommend them to others.

My name is Cheryl, and he performed the work in Carmel, NY and it was a small job in a cottage. Al Gallo, the owner, is very considerate and detail-oriented.

Al and his crew did a fantastic job. He was incredibly responsive, took one week from contact to start the job, and his crew was very professional. We noted one wall that needed an extra coat and when he came back the next day to do the bathroom, he did it without any question. His follow up was excellent. We ended up hiring him to do more work outside and next fall will use him again for the rest of the house. Clean up was great and the speed of the job and quality could not have been better.

Provider contacted me via email and I called to arrange for paint contractor to come to house and give me an estimate and execute the job. While deconflicting schedules to arrange appointment for walk thru the provider stated that a family member had a medical appointment the next day but would call and arrange meet up after medical appointment. Agreed that provider would call after 6:30pm the next day. I waited and waited and am still waiting a full business day later... no response, no email, no phone call. Business must be very good for this provider because they didn't need mine... And I recommend that you don't give them your business. #unresponsive #unreliable

We initially hired Gallo to redo a sloppy paint and crown molding job by a contractor - Romagnoli Renovations/On the Level Contracting- and then we expanded the work. Al was a great guy to work with. His team was polite, professional, and quick. We will be working with him again and wont hesitate to reccomend. Team also accommodated working around our two dogs.

The agreement was he was suppose to sand & paint the small galley kitchen. Initially for scheduling it was a nightmare. At one point he hadn't returned any phone calls or emails for about 2 weeks. Once I finally got in contact with him he told me he had a family emergency and apologized. The day they were scheduled they showed up right on time and ready to work. I was under the impression he would be doing the work by himself since it is such a small kitchen, but he in my opinion hired a laborer from a home depot parking lot. He stood and watched the laborer paint the kitchen. Zero sanding had been done and when it was dried and finished there are drip marks from applying too much paint. Bottom line is you get what you pay for. Very nice man and showed up on time when finally scheduled but the quality of the work was poor. Cost did not include paint (I had to buy that myself).

It went great . Al and his team did a wonderful job he even helped me pick out my colors.They worked all day and made sure everything was done properly. Al also fixed a problem around one of my light fixtures in the kitchen. the paint job is beautiful I would use them again.

Gallo did a great job. They came in, went upstairs and I didn't hear from them again until they were done! Excellent!

It was a bit last minute and the people from Gallo Painting in Connecticut were amazing. They got the job done on time, within my budget, and gave me a walk-through of everything they planned to do and did afterwards. They were professional, honest, and made sure I understood the work that was done, which was very much appreciated. I would highly recommend them.

Such a nice man, easy going, willing to go the extra yard. I would definitely use him again. Also, don't underestimate his ability to do carpentry, very precise.

Overall, had a great experience with Gallo Paint. They showed up when they said they would and completed the job in under a day. Also the cost was very affordable and there were no surprises when it was time to pay. I would definitely use Gallo Paint again in the future.

The work was never complete because after the initial meeting things went down hill quickly. Owner cancelled our booked date because he double booked which meant we were going to have to paint on newly installed carpet. Not my ideal situation and they proved my point. After the first day I called and had the owner come and look at paint they had gotten on my new carpet and was told I was over reacting. Gave him a second chance and I continued to come home to paint on my new carpets and now the back of my front door. When asked about that he asked what the big deal was we need a new door anyway! They left all my furniture in the middle of the house so there was no place to sit in the living room, dinning room or kitchen. Again I was told it was my fault because I didn't move the furniture myself. When I responded to that statement saying you told me you didn't need anything move for another two days he said "oh we'll I should have known." I have never been so disgusted with a company. Their utter lack of common courtesy and respect for a client and their belongings was out of control.

He called me the day after I purchased the coupon. I cannot say if it was his fault or Angie's list fault that the coupon was offered for his service even though he does not service my area.

It all went well excellently. The crew of 2 worked well with owner/supervisor and self (home-owner). The crew worked for three days straight, finished the job as promised, were personal and hard-working. Just before exiting it was evident that last-minute compounding need to be done around a electrical plate. It was addressed immediately to my satisfaction.

Mr. Gallo and crew were courteous, punctual and completed the job way beyond my expectations. My only regret was not hiring them sooner! Look forward to working with them again.

He stood us up on two appointments and we accommodated his schedule but he still didn't show up. When we called he was very casual about it and said he would come over some other time. He may have been a great painter but we can't keep waiting on him.

They did a great job. Cleaned and prepared walls for painting. They primed it and gave it two coats. Painting job is excellent. They were fast and cleaned up after they were finished. The workers were courteous and did an outstanding job. Al was very easy to work with. We agreed on a price and what had to be done They executed per agreed on plan.

I bought the deal. Got an email on 12/8 from Gallo that he would call me on Monday, 12/9. He never did. By late on Wednesday, 12/11 I emailed him and told him I wanted refund. Only at that point did he call me late in the day and said he had "death in the family". Work never performed nor scheduled.

From start to finish I was a happy camper with this project I have been wanting to paint my bathroom for some time,saw a painting deal and decided to go for it. Al Gallo stopped by to see the space I wanted painted and discussed the work that would be done and scheduled a date that worked for the both of us. Al and his crew showed on time; covered my floors tub and vanity and got right to work. The bathroom was completed in one day. The job was neat and clean and looks amazing. I can't wait to have my bedroom done.

Joe is great to work with. It took a while to schedule him given he is not based in my area. But, once here he did a thorough job and actually gave us a good price on some other work we needed while he was here. I would use again and recommend his services particularly if you are based in his locale service area.

As said above this all went so well, I tipped him in the end. I used his advice for paint color choices and trying to match colors so that I could repair a portion of a wall and ceiling and not the whole thing. I just hired him to paint two more cathedral ceilinged rooms and remove wallpaper. I wish I used him for my cabin upstate. Neat, repair work flawless, painting and sanding done impeccably. And when I had one little problem he came right away to fix it.

I found Mr. Gallo very polite to deal with. He was punctual and responded quickly. He kept in regular contact even though I was slow to contact him after purchasing the special deal. The special deal was 99 dollars and had to pay 212 dollars over that. I thought the price was reasonable and that I got good value for money. I would use him again.
