Al and his team were very prompt, polite, and quick. They were able to work around us while me, my wife and my 3 mo. old son were still living in the house. The overall quality of the work was great, and we were ecstatic with the results. If we had to nit-pick at something it would be that the final clean-up could have been a bit better. There were more than a few paint spots on the wood floors that we had to scrub. They used the kitchen sink to clean brushes and rollers after I asked that they use the slop sink in the basement leaving splatter on the cabinets and counters, nothing that wasn't easily cleaned off with soap and water.

Gallo was asked to leave my house!!!. I'm sure he will reply with some comment to explain his actions, but this guy was condescending, rude and had to be asked to leave! We had a deal to paint 400 sq ft. It took him so long to visit us he forgot we had the deal, he told my wife the upstairs landing which was the area we wanted painting was 277 sq ft. and would cost $350 or so. My wife said we had the deal for 400 sq ft. This is when he changed his tune and started to add extras. It ended with him repeatedly saying "read the fine print" with his attitude and my wife alone she asked him to leave the house. Well I did read the fine print and nothing in there should be a problem. The wall height is under 10ft ( I know because I measured) the trim was mentioned but not important. It was an upstairs landing area but so what! It was 277 sq ft., of the 400 sq ft. deal. Anyway I did it myself, no ladder needed and no fuss. If I can do it a professional painter can't, then that speaks volumes. Gallo, I look forward to your comments on this.

Al was great! Responsive and flexible when there was a problem with the paint color selection. Handled like a PRO. Would definitely use him again. Thanks!

We didn't save by getting this deal. Paid the same amount for this small room to be painted as a LARGE bedroom by another company. The wall repair done in the bathroom was simply putting a putty-like substance over it and painting. You can still see the line. The owner was very nice and courteous.

It went better then I expected!!! Quick, easy. They moved furniture and put it all back. All I did was get paint remove small items from room n let them in. They did the rest.

Al and his guys were very good in detail of work and keeping things clean. They showed up when they said they would and did a great job. I plan to hire them again to paint the outside of my house in the fall.

Al Gallo came and gave me an estimate. We agreed on a price and set a date. He came punctually with two workers. He and his workers are very polite and started work immediately. They finished faster than I thought and did a beautiful job. Al also took the time to give me good advice on some other issues in my house and I would certainly use him again.

The work was above and beyond. The prep work was carefully done giving the final paint coat a perfect finish. The prep work consisted of filling old picture hook holes, caulking any imperfections, and sanding down a rough area of a badly done repair from a previous paint job. The two young men that worked together on the job came on time, worked hard, were very courteous and polite. At the end of the job all the garbage was completely cleared from my home and not a speck of paint was out of place. Al Gallo was very attentive to all the details of the job and I could not be happier. The job was done on time! Thanks Al and your crew!

Neighbor referred him as she was using him for her ceilings. I was interested in exterior house painting and he told me no problem and when he would be in the area. He said I did not have to be home and he would provide me with an estimate. Advised I wanted to use my own paint. He asked why and I told him because I want to use Bayer paint. He asked me why again and I advised consumer report lists them as the best and other people that used said it was really good. I was willing to take his word on paint suggestions. I waited for him to respond and 3 weeks went by. I called to check in on this and he yelled at me saying why should I come by to do an estimate and he hasn't been by to do my neighbors job yet. I wondered what this had to do with me and my estimate. His business is right up the road from me and it seems to be a problem for him to do the estimate for me. He continues to yell and I told him never mind. He said fine and hung up abruptly. I then spoke to my neighbor and she is not having any problem with him and confirmed he is right up the road. I have never had anyone talk to me this way and I do not appreciate this interaction with an Angie's List service provider.

Overall very well! They took great care in the living room for any blemish. The color that they were painting with in the living room, was the same color that was on the walls already. I was unhappy with my (see-thru) paint job, and thought they were going to simply do a quick patch job, and then paint over two coats. I was surprised how much they repaired in the living room. I didn't think my living room was that bad, but before painting, the patching looked like leopard spots all over my walls. They did a great job repairing the seams in the on the cathedral ceiling in the living room. It looks awesome. Paint job in the hallways was quicker, less patching. Entryway again, less patching, looks great. While sitting on the steps, I did see a space where I could see the old color through. I was surprised at that, because I thought they did two coats there. It was in a very low spot, and just a 4" x 4" spot, so I think they just plain old missed it. The downstairs bedroom looks great, no issues in there. In the family room downstairs, they patched and painted the ceiling. They tried to blend the wallboard seams in, while they definitely made it look much better? it's not perfect. They warned that they might not be able to get it perfect, because the seams that existed were very obvious. All in all, we are very pleased with this job and would hire them again. The only negatives where: That the workers listened to music in a language I did not understand. In such a small house, it was distracting for me. When they were working downstairs they could shut the doors and I didn't mind AT ALL, but when when they were upstairs where I was doing things, I must admit I didn't love that. Perhaps ear pods would've made a difference there. This was also the first time I had workers eating lunch in my house. I've had men repair and install all sorts of things, and they always left the house to eat their lunch. So that was weird. Then again, they were very nice men, and it was cold out! Again, I would rehire them when we need painting done again!

I spoke with the painter and it's a much larger project than we anticipated so the deal won't cover it.

It went really well. They did a great job. Al explained how the cracks would need to be repaired and why the repairs that were done for me originally (not by Al) weren't great. Al was very accommodating. The project was initially for the hairline cracks and during the first day of the job, I asked if he could take a look at my tub. I wasn't expecting him to say he would take care of this when he came back the next day. I highly recommend Al and his team. He knows a lot about painting and cares about making sure the job is done well.

Very well. They are on time, professional, responsive, and did very good job in fixing ceiling crack and painting. Satisfied with the experience and the work.

Great job, I am very happy with the results- his men were fast and clean. Only issue would be he forgot to pickup the debris left behind(paneling,tarp) it is all still in my yard. But to be fair I did not remind him. I only noticed it this morning when my yard started to thaw!

Process was a breeze. After accepting estimate, date and time was scheduled. Told Al what color was needed for the walls and he got them perfectly. He showed up with his workers at the correct time and got to work right away. Everything was completed in 2 days as promised. Couldn't be more happier with the outcome. Very professional. Would highly recommend.

I have nothing but good things to say about Gallo Paint & Wallpaper. Al Gallo called and emailed me almost immediately after I left a message. It was after 5 on Thursday 12/11/14 and I didn't expect to hear from him until the next day but he emailed me by 8:30 that night! We set up a time for him to see the job, he came on Sunday 12/14/14. And his guys did the job Wed 12/17/14! They were here at 9:15am and were finished by 5pm. They were very neat. I was surprised but very happy he was able to do this job before the holidays. It was a job well done at a fair price. We are very satisfied and will recommend him to all our friends and would absolutely use him again.

Mr Gallo arrived as scheduled to provide an estimate. As we walked around the house Mr Gallo took detailed notes about the work I wanted done. He provided a list of the work he would do together with his price via email two days later as promised. His email was accurate as to the work I wanted done and his quoted price was very reasonable in my opinion. When my wife called to accept his offer they agreed on a start date, weather permitting. On the scheduled start date Mr Gallo arrived on time and introduced his two man paint team. The painters were very neat and professional. They did all necessary prep work such as washing, scrapping and patching. They finished the job within the estimated time frame given. Their work was excellent. The garage doors look practically new and I am equally as pleased with how the windows, soffits and trim turned out. I will definitely use Mr Gallo's services for future painting needs.

I purchased a Bid Deal but ended up not using it. The person who came to my home was very competent, but we went another direction because of an extra coast involved.

The job was done on time. The painters were respectful and did an excellent job of maintaining neatness and cleaned up perfectly after the job was completed. The painting was expertly done. I have painted a kitchen on my own and know the detail required to please my eye. All trim and windows and louver doors were done without any gaps or streaks.The walls were a deep red and I chose a light gray. No red showed through at all. The bedroom now has a more calming effect and a feeling of larger space. The hallway was a disastrous green color and Al Gallo helped me pick a complimentary color for my entry way into my kitchen. The outside door was primed by me but I never finished the job. They repainted the door and not a stitch of paint was left on the windows. Any wall hangings I needed to replace was done by them, especially in the hallway where I have a hanging above the door which I could not reach. I would certainly hire them again. I will be painting my living room in the near future and will be sure to contact Al Gallo.

It was okay. I think I did recall he was coming for an estimate. And I think we prepared for him and I think he did not come the first time like we stayed home. He came here like he was going to look here or something. I think he came, as I remember, a little late when he was supposed to come but he did finish on time. Something was wrong like he did not have the right ladder so he went home and came back another day. It was a little bit challenging to work with him but yeah, I think these things happen. He was fine and the quality ultimately was an A. As for responsiveness, I called him a couple of times, he didn't pick up and I had to get in through the machine. I will not probably use him again because we found someone else, not that I had a big issue with him.

When I contact him he was not able to meet my time requirements.
