Description of Work: The work that was done was fine. My only concern is one that I was prepared for. The manager came and were told that the amount of the original agreement would not cover the amount of work that needed to be done. So we engaged the contractor to do additional work at an additional cost. I think that this practice is common with contractors and customers.

Description of Work: Overall it was alright, I suppose. I was having other work work being done in my home at the time, that was not completed until Nov, 8th. I realized that the holidays were fast approaching and so was the expiration date of the coupon. With so little time in between, I thought best to cancel for the time being and start anew. Yes, I would hire the same.

Description of Work: Emailed and called Al Gallo attempting to setup the work. Al explained that he would need to visit first to estimate the cost of the work (even though the deal was supposed to be fixed cost under a certain square footage which I was well within). We agreed that he would call me back Saturday morning when he was in my area but I never heard back. He had set my expectation that he was very busy and I did not feel motivated to chase him further.

Description of Work: The price was more than I expected. The service that I got was good but I didn't want to commit to something that was a lot more expensive.

Description of Work: Initial contact was good but we couldn't make it on the day he wanted to come. then didn't hear from him again. misunderstanding then, he thought we would call him again and we were waiting to hear from him. He told us he could come the following Saturday and he would be in touch. Saturday came and he neither called us or came. We contacted him again but at that point, we didn't want to deal with him. He did not seem reliable. The tone of his last message was "I will try and make time for you at 10 am. on Sunday. We felt his language was inappropriate and out of line. Told him we did not want an estimate from him.

Description of Work: I purchased the big deal to have our livingroom painted. The service provider came and gave an estimate that is much higher than expected based on other times we have had painting done for us. It is too expensive and we do not want to do the job and will find a more reasonable estimate. I did email the company after I got the estimate to ask if the total included the coupon and to tell them it was much more than we can spend on the job. I have not heard back from them.

Description of Work: Bought the big deal on the last day..was told that provider would email/call within 48 hours. I had to reach out to schedule appointment/estimate. He gave me a quote..wanted to charge extra for the trim, ceiling, etc (which I didn't want or needed, so he removed..no problem). However, the deal also included that he would have "extended" his contractor's paint discount..and he quoted me $45/gallon for benjamin moore paint...I don't know where he gets his paint from but from any hardware store I've ever bought it from (Wallauer's, Irvington Hardware, Chappaqua, etc), without my "discount", it was below $35/gallon. And my other contractor's have bought it for close to $17/gallon..just saying. He told me that he would be sending me the written estimate in 2 days. I waited 3 days, then called him. He told me he was running behind, and that he would send me via email, the estimate over the weekend. I waited until Sunday night, still nothing. I waited until Monday afternoon, still nothing, so I called him. He told me that he had not typed it up yet and maybe it was in his truck. He went to "look" for it in his truck and he couldn't find it, "which means that I took it out to work on it, that's why it's not in the book in my truck". I asked him to just call me with the estimate and schedule the work any way. He told me that he would call me when he got back (Home? the office?)later Monday evening to schedule the time and give me the estimate. I waited until 9:30 Monday evening. No calls, no emails. That's when I reached out to Angie's List for assistance for some resolution. Maybe my job is too small for him.

Description of Work: We needed three rooms painted quickly before we were moving in! Al Gallo met with us right away for a walk-through and started the same day to accommodate our tight schedule. The paint looks great and the price was affordable! We would definitely do business with him again!

Description of Work: Gallo Painting did a wonderful job painting my staircase and one ceiling. The painters were also neat and were finished in a timely manner.

Description of Work: I am unsure whether or not I will use this company. I feel the "deal" offered was miseading. i paid $99 for one room to be painted. It appears that $99 would not ever cover one room of painting based on their pricing. They apply the $99 as a credit towards the job, but add fees for the ceiling(!!!) trim, doors, etc. So even a space that seems to be within the 300 square foot criteria for one room at $99 will actually cost a lot more. I think it may not have been indicated that the limit was 300 s'f' when I made the purchase, so that was new information, too. I think its fair to limit the size of the space for the promotional price BUT EVERYTHING SHOULD BE COMPLETELY CLEAR TO THE CONSUMER ***BEFORE*** THEY BUY THE DEAL. Their rates might be fair in general. I'm only objecting to the so called "deal" they are posting here. It appears to me that the customer is not receiving a discount or any money off. It looks like this is just a way for the painting company to get you to use them since you've already paid them $99. I have not used their services yet so I cannot say how good the quality of their work is yet.

Description of Work: patch, tape, paint garage interior and 2 small patches in house. There were two spots in garage that were missed, that I did not notice until now... disappointed only in that. Rest of job was great.

Description of Work: I used Gallo Paint & Wallpaper on December 15th of this year. They did interior painting and a lot of prep work.
