He removed 25 year-old wallpaper in our bathroom and did a great job getting the walls ready for paint. The help he gave us in choosing our paint color was invaluable. The finished project makes our bath look like an entirely new room. We couldn't have asked for more.

+ 2 moreBob and his crew are artists. He replaced failed drywall from a water leak, painted the wall and trim, and when I came home, I could not tell where he had made repairs and what was original. Everything matched seamlessly. No drips, spills or messes. Super clean. I had a section of drywall that needed repair in another room and a wood window to paint. All Perfect. We started looking for things for him to do because he is so good. We found outside trim in need of paint. He removed the old paint, primed and painted. We haven't had to touch it since.

+ -1 moreBob came out, talked to my wife and me about different options and also highlighted concerns with the deck's under-structure. Bob was very knowledgeable and explained our options clearly. He was responsive and professional is every interaction. Regarding the structural concern, he referred use to a carpenter he works with, Joel Zdanoff, who came a few days later and confirmed Bob's concerns. We ended unable to proceed with the project as our Central AC died and we cannot do both.
Description of Work: We needed get our deck a serious sprucing up. Multi-layers of paint has been chipping and it hadn't been well maintained.

+ 2 moreBrushworks were amazing! Bob the owner is a consummate professional. He had the difficult job of painting a bedroom and an office/spare bedroom that had not been painted in over 20 years. There was a ton of prep work and he took it on in stride. He even helped in picking out the colors to go with the furniture and light exposures in the room. The job was completed on time and at the quoted price. He even fixed a broken pane of glass. I would definitely recommend Bob and Brushworks, you will not be disappointed.

To the point where Bob had regional executives of Sherwin-Williams on the job site to review the quality of their product, Bob's application, and inquire as to our satisfaction. The relationship between Sherwin-Williams and BrushWorks worked exceptionally well on this project. As an aside our standards are exceedingly high. This is our first and only home. Ninety-nine percent of the restoration work has been performed by me, the home owner. Our home is described as a strong colonial but prior to our purchase it was a collection of dark paneling and ceiling tile over plaster and lath...and general neglect. Any mechanic we have chosen must have the same interest as ours in properly restoring our home to its original state. The employees of BrushWorks followed that directive.
Description of Work: Our home located on Long Island Sound was built in 1911 and as best as I can determine had been painted one time. We have resided in this home since 1976 and prior to the most recent project had the house painted twice. Our experience with BrushWorks goes back many years as we have had them do all of our interior work as have our children in their homes. This contractor is not inexpensive as he generally charges by the man hour... but quality does not come cheap. He and his crew did an excellent job at executing the estimate completely. His workers are polite, neat and they work their butts off until the job is completed..and more importantly they can be trusted! In addition Bob, the owner of BrushWorks, works along with his crew. The job consisted of removing, where needed, all the paint off the house, re-glazing all windows, removing and preparing shutters, removing and preparing a 250 pound front door, replacing cedar shingles, and caulking.
