Paraco Gas

They jerked me around for over a week, led me to believe they would do the job, then suddenly said they can't do it. Never gave me a real reason why. Totally unreliable.

They came 4:30,Sat 1/6/18 after waiting all day in a freezing house , again kept saying they're on their way which was a LIE, They are a bunch of LIARS. Went to BBB to report them.

Hasn't happened yet, but I use them all the time and they're great

An excellent oil and propane delivery operation. They never leave you uncertain or without, their service and maintenance is the reason I've stuck with them for five years now. Amy in customer service just helped me out during the recent blizzard in the Catskills and was there and so helpful we can't thank her enough. I highly recommend these folks for oil and propane of which I utilize them for both since we have and oil furnace and a propane heater in the house. The techs that come to the house are truly experts, as a construction manager for many years I know the differnce between someone who pokes around in an attempt to repair a system and someone who has the expertise to quickly anylize the situation and develop a quikc and appropriate repair. A-1 company. Simply put, these folks at Paraco/Kosco are the Best at what they do. I'm sure you could shop for a lower price somewhere but you won't find faster, more precise service. Horrible!!! Zero accountability and zero communication between the many different service reps I was forced to go through, due largely in part the fact that THEY own the $850.00 tank and therefore I had nothing to say until I sent them 42 bucks and scheduled this inspection 2 weeks later. Go anywhere else, and ask questions up front before they shut you down and lock out the tank like they did me.

Paraco Customer service provided me a budget saving plan to pay ahead for a discounted propane price. This was very helpful for customers who have a fix budget and tremendous savings

for retired people $68 rent for 3 month is to expensive

The company just recently took over my previous gas provider. The new company came to fill the tank and noticed I still had a tank labeled with the previous provider. They arranged to come in 2 weeks to change the tank. The tank was changed and when I received the bill for the fill up it was for a full tank. I have never used more the $70 in fuel and the new bill reflected a charge double that for a full tank fill. It was just filled 2 weeks prior so I could not use that much gas. They did not allow for the fuel left in the tank when they changed it. I called customer service to chat with them and they were going to check on it and get back... Never did and I just received a notice of late payment....... I am not paying double for this fuel and apparently they are not too concerned.

Truck arrived unexpectedly and never delivered gas because the driver was too lazy to ring the doorbell. We were not expecting a delivery, and our car was parked partially blocking truck access to the gas tank at the back. Driver could have knocked on the door, rang the doorbell, etc. It was obvious someone was at home. We suddenly heard the truck -- on its way out. We called out to the driver, but he was in a hurry and ignored us. No excuse for this driver to do what he did. We then received an invoice from Paraco noting that nothing was delivered.Are they nuts? Absolutely no customer service from this company. Plus, propane rates at $2.50, when everyone else is way lower. Just tried calling the company, and can't get through. In a word -- LOUSY service.

They came and just said we were out of gas and put a lock on the tank. The person who came said he could find no leaks, but only had what he called a "sniffer". We explained what PSE&G said but he was oblivious to what we said. This was yesterday. They told us they'd be back today and never showed or called. We called them and they said that we weren't even on the schedule and that we'd have to call back tomorrow morning at 8:30 for someone to come. Meanwhile, we have no stove, just our little gas grill. This isn't the first time they messed up. They claimed we were past due on our bill, but never called, just mailed notices out to us. Our mail delivery is very bad and the bills were not received. They had someone at the house ready to shut us off unless we paid right then and there for the gas and some bogus fee. Customer service was downright nasty, but they had our backs against the wall because it was wintertime (December 2013) and we had an infant in the house. We should have left them sooner. Now, once again, we are stuck.

I called Paraco to find out why I had not received a bill . The call was taken by one of the best customer service representatives I have had the pleasure of dealing with. I think this was the second time I have spoken with her. Last year I needed some help and Ashley took care of the matter quickly, fairly, and expertly. This time I wanted to also have the bill automatically be paid by a creidt card. She took the payment and forwarded the information.

Paraco gas representatives made promises to me that did not happen. They let me gas run out then blamed me for their mistake. I was an Amerigas customer they never let me run out in the 12 years I was a customer of theirs. Paraco puirchased their accounts and never verified any of the customers delivery status and had no idera what the customers status was. The customer representative told me it was my fault I ran out. He then aske dme to read the gauge on the tank I informed them there were no gauges on my tanks. He suggest at that time for the tanks to be replaced with ones that have gauges. So I agreed to have the tanks replaced.When I asked him why he to me I was will call. I asked him when was I put oin the will call list and that I was on automatic delivery. He kept insisting it was my fault when I never knew I was will call since I never had to call for a propane delivery ever with Amerigas. Over the next two days Paraco made many promises they never kept. Thet promisedgas would be delivered the next day which it wasn't. I had to have a supervisor put me back on automatic delivery since the customer representative refused to do so until I sent her and email telling her to do so in writing. I cancelled the tank replacement since the supervisor told me since I was now on automatic delivery there was no need for the tanks to be replaced. Since they did not keep any of there promises I called back after they short delivered me and told them to replace the tanks because I do not trust them. I got the feeling form my contacts witht hem many people were let run dry since they had numrous emerigencies for gas delieries. Paraco gas can not be trusted to keep your propane tanks full and I think they have no clue what they are doing. Maybe they took on more then they can handle and should either diversify or sell the company to someone who knows how to run the comapny. At this point I will have to monitor the gas in trhe future since they aren't. Over a year since becoming a customer all I got was a welcome kit and no other contact from them. No one verified my account and its status. On my first contact wtih them they blamed me and did noty take any responsibility for their mistake.

The company has serviced my tank and house probably since 1987 when built. I moved there in Nov. of this year. Before I could get delivery I was required to have a "safety check" done on my tank. (mind you they delivered to the previous owner just the month before) I called to schedule this and had a lot of difficulty getting someone to call me back. I left message after message, was told that that department would call to schedule and they never did. finally, I notice I am running out of fuel. I call again, they refused to deliver fuel until this safety check was performed. More hassle to get someone out. Finally they came, literally spent less than 5 minutes doing a 'safety check". I had also set up auto delivery and realized one day no one had delivered and my tank was at 10% so I called again. Apparently I was not put on auto delivery but not informed of that fact. After a few phone transfers I spoke with someone (very nice mind you) who notified me that since I had a gas fireplace I could not be put on auto delivery unless I purchased some "butler". they cannot deliver for 2-3 business days. So once AGAIN, I am worried I will run out of gas before they come. While I found that every person I spoke with was cordial and listened to me, I am finding it very frustrating that this company seems to drop the ball when it comes to responding, or providing necessary information (such as if you don't call us we won't be delivering your propane). If I could switch companies I would in a second, but I am beholden to them and am sure to expect more issues and hassles as long as they deliver my fuel.

We were a long term customer of Paraco for propane supply for a pool heater and generator. During Hurricane Sandy they were totally unresponsive and did not make a needed propane delivery. While we understand the difficult circumstances, what made the situation untenable was the inability to talk to anyone at Paraco. They had an answering service handle calls which were never responded to. I also made 2 trips to their storage depot on the Hudson and could not get any answers as to when we might expect a delivery to power the generator. They had the nerve to send out a letter months later professing to be proud of the way they handled things! We have subsequently changed suppliers.

Not a good experience. Don't call this company if you are in a hurry or want propane service. The company seems to be very large but having (1) service person for the area become a bottleneck to getting quotes or securing a new account seems unreasonable . I wanted to find a big company for better service. Guess I was wrong about that assumption.

They are efficient and timely. My overall experience with them has been good.

Sometimes they over fill it, and I then have problems with that. Other than that, they do a good job. They have a good price though.

Starting in May 2008, we telephoned Paraco several times a week to try to get our pool heater up and running. There is never a person who answers the telephone, only voice-mail. It takes 4-5 days to get a call back. Once you get a call back, each time there is a delay in getting a service appointment set up. They would not deliver propane but insisted that we need an inspection to see if the heater and tank were code (although they had been delivering regularly to the prior owner). It took from the end of May until July 3, 2008 for them to set up and send an inspector for our propane tank. They would not pass the inspection, but asked that several tasks be done to change the pool heater/tank. It took a long time to find someone who could and would do this job. Meanwhile we called them several more times to ask them to assess the tank gauge, which never seemed to move - we did not know how much propane remained. They refused to do this until the work was done and they came back. Once the work was finally done (by a plumbing company, not by Paraco), they could not send a repeat inspector (for which we would have to pay again) until an additional week, and there could not be a propane delivery until 3-5 business days after that. Meanwhile, of course, we ran out of propane during a chilly and rainy week with a house full of guests. Throughout this process, Paraco was unresponsive, unhelpful, slow moving and bureaucratic, and seemed completely uninterested in having our business.
