Services we offer
To provide quality electrical service to our clients by tailoring our services to meet each customer's needs. By devoting ourselves to craftsmanship and by working individually with our clients! Residential & commercial wiring, old or new wired systems, electric, new and retrofit, swimming pool and hot tub services.
Brian did a great job grounding and bonding our above ground pool and installing a full house surge protector. He was courteous, punctual, and always accessible throughout the process and did a thorough job explaining the job, what he was doing, and why. I felt very comfortable with him working in and around my home and yard. He is easy to talk to, has a good sense of humor, and was quick to schedule and complete the job, despite challenges with the weather. He followed up after the work to make sure the third-party inspection and town inspection went well. Because our home is a recent build, this was the first time we worked with an electrician. I would definitely contact Brian and his team in the future for any electrical work needs we have.

I think his name is Brian. He is wonderful. I used him a few times. I haven't had electric needs since then. He was really great suggesting some practical ideas. Quality I'd give him an "A". I thought he did really great work. My lights are even. He was really kind to the fireplace. He drilled through the walls to make like a bypass behind the fireplace into a bookcase. I think he was really good that way. I like the fact that he had some really valid suggestions to update my 1950's house and these were things that was not of a curtainaire. That could be done because of plaster walls and plaster ceilings. He showed up, he left, it was fine, cleaned up after himself.
Description of Work: He installed a TV on my fireplace and then he suggested we test lights over each bookcase which was fantastic and I never would have thought that on my own. That was another visit and he put a surge protector on my few box downstairs in the basement which again I wouldn't even have known is something to do. He did something else. He put a stand in my bathroom in the wall and vents up to the ceiling and then he also updated some electric in the guess room and put a light in.

The provider did nothing for me. After a couple weeks of him/her not calling me back I called Angieslist to receive a refund. I spoke with a very nice male customer service person. He apologized for my trouble and gave me the name of another person that is on Angieslist. That electrician just completed work for me and I was very satisfied with his company. The company's name that I was given was Nichols Electrical Contracting, Inc. I was very, very happy with this contractor.

They are pricey. I was not satisfied. There was something going on with his phone or something. He was very professional and very friendly. We got into a chat and found that I had a loose fan box and he went ahead and put in a new fan box and charged me for the fan box and the installation of the fan box, which I thought was little too much. Other than that, he was very good. He did a nice job putting up the ceiling fan but it was extra cost that threw me. He charged me almost $8 for a wood box and he charged me for taking my old fan down, I thought that should have been included in the installation. Taking down the new fan should have been part of installing the new fan. He also charged me for installing a fan box, which is just a little box that goes up in the ceiling. He didn’t even tell me he was going to charge me that much. What made me decide to go with him is Angie’s List, it was a specials, I paid the man a specials. He did the cleanup. He was a very good electrician.

On June 30th I purchased the final day of Angie's Big Deal of 1 installed of my own ceiling fan for $79 from Unlimited Electric. I selected several installation dates and received a contact email stating to not reply to the email and call their office. I contact the number provided 585 223 3157 and received an "no longer in service number". I checked the number and dialed again and received the same message. I then went to their website and the number provided was the same. Upon further research I found another number 585 314 8900. A man answered and said He just works in the field and wasn't sure why the number didn't work?!?! He said to keep trying that number or call his back and leave a message with all my information. At this point I am no longer comfortable or confident with this company and would prefer to cancel my purchase and have my money refunded. Please and thank you.

This installation entailed additional work which required wires to be run from the basement up behind the wall, a tweak on the circuit breaker and outlet installation near the fireplace. I also purchased a whole house surge protector installation as well has two flush mounted recessed lights. These items were discussed and I chose to have the additional work done on second visit. I feel confident that the work was done professionally and safely. Brian is easy to work with and personable. Overall, very pleased with the new modern feel of the room.
Description of Work: I purchased the $299 TV wall mount offer. This TV was installed on a brick fireplace in a 1950's house. I did expect an upcharge, so that was not an issue.

The technician was a nice and he arrived on time. However, they were very much overpriced. After the work was completed, he gave me the original price of $800. With the Big Deal, he took $200 off of the cost. The way the deal was presented, it appeared that the coupon should have covered about $200 worth of work. We checked around in this area and I found that other electricians would have charged much less for this job. The quality of work was good, but the price was overcharged. I would not hire him again.
Description of Work: I purchased a Big Deal for two hours of electrical labor. One of the lights had gone out and needed a little bit of re-wiring. I also had him complete some other general electrical work.

The provider didn't come out 1st time he said he would to look at the job. He said he would come by when he was in my area for his daughter's soccer game, but may have forgotten. I spoke with him a while later and he recommended that he look at what needed to be done. When he did come out, he said that he was going to apply his time to come out and look at the job to the special that I had purchased. Unfortunately, that did not leave enough time to do the one job that I wanted to get done and I could not afford to commit to his estimated amount of time at the regular rate. I was going to have my son use the remainder, but my son was already using someone else and had no use for it.

He was very nice. However, I was confused about what was wrong with the outlet - the plugs didn't stay in the outlet. I also got an estimate to put in some recessed lights in my bedroom. He came back and suggested that I replace the lights in my kitchen with LEDs and put one in to show me. He was very honest with me all around.

I left a few voicemails and then finally caught him live on the phone in the evening on my third try. Provider was on time. Very nice guy. I purchased a deal for $99 for 2 hours worth of electrical work. Originally, I wanted my pendant light in the foyer to be replaced (ceiling height about 17'), but he said deal did not include lights that were that high up, so it would be about $300-350 to install that light. I opted out of having him install that light. Had him replace my downstairs ceiling fan with a new one. When he took down the old one, he noticed it did not have a ceiling fan box, so I paid an additional $40 for the box and had him install it. It took about an hour and 45 minutes for the fan to be installed. I did notice a screw that was missing at the top of the fan base and found it in the carpet and will have to screw that in. I had a hallway light I wanted replaced, he hooked it up. It was a bit tricky to attach on to the bracket, my husband and I had already installed 4 of these lights in the house, so I was familiar with it and attached it to the bracket. The light is a tad loose and is not flush with the ceiling, so we will have to readjust it and tighten the screws to make it flush. Overall, work got done, provider was very kind, we had great conversation, probably a bit too much conversation. I was worried with all the talking that I may not get 2 hours worth of work. I'm not sure that this deal is the best, as each electrician takes different amounts of time to do work.

The experience with Unlimited Electric was not good. First of all, the appointment was made because he would work with my husband, I was on my way out of town because we had a death in the family, I called my husband later on the day to see how it went, he says fine, he was a little messy because he left the clippings of the wiring just behind on the counters and my husband kept cleaning it up. He also charged him $400 and the deal was $99 for two hours worth of work. I emailed him and I asked him why, give me a listed invoice of what parts that would cost over $500. I never got an invoice from it. I emailed him again and he said that he usually charges a flat rate. I said I know but this is through Angie's List and for two hours, I was supposed to have $99 worth of work. I can understand charging me for part but there is no way that the parts that he gave which was a couple of switch plates, a couple of covers, he installed a light switch but my husband already bought those parts, anyways it didn't add up. At the time of the appointment, he also gave us a panel box to be done. He said to me "you're obviously not happy, I want to make it good, let's just go on, I'll give you a deal on the panel box to make up for what we already charged. I said I will ave to talk to my husband about it. In the meantime, I go back to the switch that he installed in the bathroom and it isn't working so I emailed them and I said again, this isn't working, I would like you to come back and I do not want to be charged. There was some delay, he said he never got the message so when I emailed him again. He said okay, fine, I'll take a look at it. He came out and it isn't working. It had something to do with the circuit breaker off again. He repaired two other light switched, one in the garage and one outside that was on the same circuit as the switch to the bathroom and that was all well done. I heard a crash when he was here and I asked him if he was okay, he said I just dropped the panel board. My husband comes home and he finds a blinds that was on the window down there on the floor and he goes what happened here? I said I don't know. He looked at the window and it actually was broken off where it was attached to the window so I said that must have been the crash but he didn't tell me he had a problem with the window shade. To make a long story short, he doesn't want him in the house again, we're not going to go back to him for the panel, obviously. It's just one thing after another. He insisted the first time here that it had to be a certain switch because it was near water which I understand. He came back, he switched it back to the old type of outlet that has nothing to do with the water but he didn't tell me that he was doing this.

My plan s was for the use of the labor was twofold: Repolace 4 outlets and rewire asmany as possible outlets in two other rooms in the remaining time. When we initially discussed the job, he said he felt rewiring the existing outlets wasn't necessary even though another electrician had recommended that I do so. Rather than argue about it I reluctantly said "okay".It seemed clear to me he did not want to do such a mudane task. So all I got was 4 outlets replaced . The last time I bought one of these 2 hour Deals from a different firm the electrician replaced 2 ceiling fixturess, 2 exterior light fixtures, resolvved a ceiling fanlighting issue, replaced an outlet and rewired another outlet. |In summary, he was here for aboiut an hour and a half,, including the time he spent in his truck and talking with his daughter on his cellphone.

I called the provider 2 days after buying this deal. He asked about what needed to be done and I told him. He said the deal "wasn't in his system" yet and he would call me. 2 weeks went by with no communication. I emailed him and got a response saying he would call to set up an appt. A week after that, on 3/17, he finally called and told me his mother had passed away and he'd been out of the office. I told him again what needed to be done. I also told him I work everyday until 2. He told me he wasn't really available to come to my home anytime after 2 and that the service would take more than the 2 hours I had purchased. Obviously, I need someone who is flexible enough to meet my needs and provide the services I purcahsed and the big picture here was showing me this was not the person who was going to fulfill that.

This was an Angie's list deal for 2 hrs of electrical service. My dissatisfaction is not with the quality of the work, rather the billing for "additional" time. I was charged an additional hour, ($119). but the fellow was only here an additional 1/2 hr. When I called to schedule the service and describe what I needed, I asked if I should get a new fixture as I was not sure if it needed a new ballast or a new fixture. I was told it was not necessary as he would likely have the parts with him. It turned out the fixture needed to be replaced as he did not have a fixture with him. So i went out to buy a new fixture which took approx 40 mins of the service time. The amount I stated for cost of service included the cost of an overhead fixture that I purchased. The cost of the service excluding this fixture was approx. $250.
Description of Work: He added an outlet rather than rewiring an existing box, replaced an overhead light fixture, looked at a motion detector.
