I didn't give perfect scores across the board for a few minor reasons. I had a question before work began regarding replacement of a broken downpipe and flange. Service provider contacted me quickly after I submitted a request through Angie's List. Provider's e-mail to me had "car cleaning" in the subject line, which confused me until I read the e-mail. He offered to fix the downpipe and flange if I purchased the parts myself (to save money). I planned to do that and then contact provider again to schedule a date for the work to be done. The very next day I got home from work to find a mysterious white kitchen trash bag sitting next to our garage door. I peeked inside and saw what looked like dirt and wet leaves. I thought it might have been plant cuttings from our neighbor for my wife to plant in our yard. When I got home I asked her about it but she said no, she was not expecting any cuttings from the neighbor. She refused to look in the bag and was "creeped out" that someone had left a bag with unknown contents sitting next to our garage. Later that evening I found an invoice for gutter cleaning in my front door jamb. Eventually I put 2-and-2 together and realized the gutter cleaners had been there that day and had bagged up the gunk they cleaned out of our gutters and left it in a bag by our garage door (perhaps as evidence for us to see what they had cleaned out of our gutters?) Of course, I had not yet purchased the parts that needed replacing, so in order to get my downpipe and flange fixed will now require another visit, which I'm sure will cost more than it would have if they had waited for me to contact them that I had the parts they needed. In any event, the service seemed to be performed as expected, but the miscommunication in the e-mail and the bag left behind with no explanation leaves me unable to give a perfect rating. I also think $149 to clean gutters is rather pricey (it couldn't take more than 30-45 minutes to do the work), but that seems to be the going price. I guess I'm in the wrong line of work, LOL.

Monroe gutter cleaning personnel were great. They made sure that downspouts were not blocked as well as cleaning the gutters. They checked the roof for any winter damage or missing shingles as well. Very nice people. Very helpful.

A month after the gutter cleaning we noticed water pouring over the gutter near the downspout. We are not in that part of the house a lot so that is probably why we didn't notice the problem right away. We called the company and were told they would come back and "if it is old stuff they will take care of it at no charge but if it is new there will be a charge". We would have to take their word if they say it is new. There are no trees in that area. Lesson learned: we will be home in the future (with a different company) to see what is being done.

Another great experience with Monroe Gutter Cleaning LLC this year. The past few years we have used Monroe Gutter Cleaning LLC to clean out gutters and roof at the end of the fall season. We usually have to wait until late in the year because the trees around us drop at the end of November and Chet has always been great about working us in even when the weather isn't great. We will be back again next year!

They had to rechedule due to frozen gutter contents but returned promptly when the weather got a bit warmer.

It was a very hands-off experience, which is fine for this type of work. They arrived during the day while we were away at work, and it was done when we arrived home. The cleaning happened a couple weeks after the estimated time frame, but that is also fine for gutter cleaning. I only wish there was a little more communication so I knew the job was not forgotten...

As our gutters were cleaned too late in the year to know for sure they are completely clean, it won't be possible to tell how well the job was done until the first big rain in the spring. Assuming, the cleaning matches up with the other excellent qualities of this business, as noted above, we will definitely use again. We were substantially impressed with the responsiveness and professionalism of the company. The company offers an annual gutter cleaning plan, which is attractive.

Late in the season, was afraid I'd be stuck with the gutters all winter. They got here as specified and did a great job.

I did not need to leave work to be at the house when the work was done, but my son reported that they were professional, efficient cleaned everything up. They also secured a section that probably loosened from the icicles last winter.

Monroe’s workers were at my house on time and it took 10-15 minutes to clean the gutters. They were efficient and very professional. I will hire again.

Just moved in, gutters were packed full. They didnt flinch, and the price didnt change, Not only that, but they replaced some burnt out bulbs in my outdoor lighting that I could not reach. Wont use anyone else.

He fit us in quickly at a very busy time of year. Not only fixed the issue, but installed drain screens and put a shingle back in place for us. THANK YOU!

The staff arrived at the agreed upon time, and performed the work quickly and professionally. They also cleaned up any mess they had made, which was very appreciated. I've used them twice so far, and both times been pleased with the results.
