Service was great. I received a call about an hour before they came to clean our gutters. Three men showed up and cleaned out the gutters all around our home in less than an hour! They were very kind and professional. They also let me know that we had one gutter in the back our garage that was pulling away from the siding. They brought this to my attention and repaired it at no additional charge. We were very happy with the overall service and will have them back in the future.

Monroe Gutter Cleaning was great. They were quick, timely, responsive, professional, neat and friendly. We asked them to do a little extra work -- sealing around the base of the chimney--and they had no problem with doing it, for a very reasonable charge. We would definitely call them again.

They arrived promptly on time. 3 men worked on my house, which is a medium sized colonial and were done in about 30 minutes. They sluiced water through the gutters and left the leaves in bags in the back of my house. they offered to put them by the curb for me as they explained they were heavy. They cleaned the gutters on my small garage for free - which was only one gutter, but still was a kindness. They were quick, efficient, polite, and did a good job.

* Update 10/21/2013: While the provider claims I was dishonest, I truly don't recall the sq footage of my house, even to this day. I'm 100% positive I would have said so in my initial call to set up the appointment, I do that on every request for the sq footage of my house. That being said, it wasn't fair for me to put F's for Responsiveness and Professionalism if they really did show up and put a note on my door. I would have appreciated a phone call instead of a note on the door. I'm taking the provider at his word since I never did see the note and I am updating this review per his request. I have no reason to distrust him so if he said he left a note, then he probably did and it was just lost in the wind. Original Review: I called the company and arranged for a gutter/downspout cleaning and they scheduled to perform the service "sometime next week". That is not the problem since I do understand that companies get busy and may have emergencies to deal with from their higher priority customers. The problem is that they never showed up and never called me back explaining why they didn't show up. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt since the spring was really wet and I'm sure they were running around all over. But, I wish they had called or emailed.

I've been using Monroe Gutter Cleaning to clean my gutters once a year for several years. I've always been completely satisfied. I'm on the schedule to have my gutters cleaned in Nov., but noticed problems a week or so ago with the heavy rains, so I gave the office a call to see about getting them cleaned again. I left a message and my call was returned almost immediately. I was told they'd probably be here in a couple of days, if not today. A bit later, I called back to ask if Chet could give me an estimate, while he was here, to power wash the house. Just a little later, the truck came. The gutters were cleaned in no time and although Chet gave me an estimate for power washing, he said my house wasn't bad at all and I could take care of it myself (and he told me how) for a lot less money. I greatly appreciated his honesty. I will continue to use Monroe Gutter Cleaning and am considering getting on a twice-a-year schedule, particularly now that I know the work is guaranteed. I don't know how I missed that little fact before!

Professional, timely, and do a great job! The staff scheduling the work is very helpful and returned calls quickly. We have been using this team for several years now, and each year, the gutters look great and also take time to clean up any left-over debris from the gutters and job that may have fallen onto yard. Upon arrival at my home and due to the height of the house and possible danger to the workers, the price was a little more than originally quoted over the phone. However, I understood the explanation for the increase in cost and both people who performed the job were efficient, careful and cleaned up the area around the house when the job was complete. I was very pleased with their work and I will call them again.

Horrible experience, one of the worst experiences. 1. They gave an estimate of the wrong part of the gutter - not near the problem. When contacted, they stated that the part that we had asked about was not a problem. 2. They stated they cleaned the gutters, but there was no debris found anywhere on the yard. It took them 5 minutes to "clean" the gutters - they didnt know my wife was inside the house, and thats how long they were at our house. 3. When looking at the gutters, we noticed that some of the gutters that we could see had many leaves the day after the apparent cleaning. 4. We had a different gutter company come give an estimate of the gutter that needed to be repaired. They noted that the gutters were never cleaned. They also noticed a tree growing in the gutter, which was not noticed by Monroe Gutter Cleaning. 5. When contacted that the gutters were not cleaned (and the second gutter cleaners saw the gutters within 5 days of the original "cleaning"), Monroe Gutter adamantly insisted that they had cleaned the gutter. They said that the debris in the gutters was new. 6. They also tried to convince us that there was no tree growing in the gutter - even though we have pictures of this tree (some of the leaves are actually sticking out the side of the gutter and is visible from the ground). 7. We blocked the check and waited for them to call back, and they did not call back, but instead reported us to a collection agency. All in all, very unprofessional, and definitely not trustworthy. We feel scammed. We paid off the collection agency, and the second gutter cleaner cleaned the gutters and actually replaced the entire gutter. We want to warn others to know about this company...

I reviewed Angie's List for recommended gutter cleaning companies, as I have done this project myself for years and had no specific service provider in mind. Based on the positive recommendations, I contacted Monroe Gutter Cleaning to have my home added to their list. The scheduler I reached was organized and informative, giving me some background on the company and answering a couple questions with friendliness. I was told they have a fixed rate of $80 for the first hour (based on the size of my house), so I was expecting to spend that at a minimum. I was given a specific end date I could expect someone to stop and have the work done by, and that time frame was honored in the end. The day of the service, two individuals arrived professional in appearance in a newer van marked with the company information, which presented a positive image. Both worked quickly but were thorough. They were able to do the work regardless if the homeowner was home or not, and you would need to step outside to see them because they do not ring the doorbell otherwise (which I was fine with). Debris from the gutters was put in one of my barrels for disposal, and my garden hose was coiled up neatly when they were done with it (it wasn't that way when they arrived!). A bill was put in the screen door, and they were on their way. Upon inspection of the work, all appeared completed and without damage or a mess. I would definitely call Monroe Gutter Cleaning for future work!

We contacted this company last summer to clean the gutters on our house and garage. Last year, they did a great job! Any debris found in the gutters was placed on a garbage bag and placed outside our garage door. We were extremely pleased with the gutter cleaning itself, clean up after the job was thorough, and we felt the amount charged was justified. We spoke with the company last week (Thursday, 6/30) and were told we would be placed on their schedule for next week. To our delight, they showed up yesterday, July 5th. After approximately 15-20 minutes, the gutters were cleaned, a bill was left in our mail slot, and they left. When leaving our house later yesterday afternoon, the debris in the gutter directly above our patio and patio table was tossed all over the patio and patio table - no attempt was made to clean this area. Our patio and patio table were a complete mess!! We were very disappointed considering this was not our experience last year when they cleaned our gutters. We will need to consider whether or not we will use their services again the future. **Update - 7/2011 - After a conversation with someone at the company a resesonable resolution was reached. We will consider using their services again in the future.

I read all the review on Angus list, made my decisions to contact MONROE GUTTER CLEANING. When I contacted them and asked about cost and when they could do the job, I was told a typical job takes just about an hour at a cost of $80.00 and they could be on site within the next week. When I provided my address (just over the county line into Wayne County), the person answering the phone said she would contact the owner to make sure they provided service in my area. I received a call back within the hour says they would be able to be on site in the following week. They showed up on the following Thursday, took care of the gutters, leaving no mess left behind. I defiantly will use MONROE GUTTER CLEANING next time I need the gutters cleaned.

Everything went extremely well and would recommend them to my family and friends. We will be using them again in the spring.

They called me the next day after I e-mailed them from this site. They left a message and I returned the call on a Sunday expecting to leave a message but I actually got a live person! She told me how much it would cost and that I would be put on the schedule that week. I happened to be home when they came on Wednesday. They were very professional and quick. I would definitely call them again!

Very satisfied with the quality of the work. Have used Monroe Gutter twice a year for about seven years. Have service contract for cleaning every spring and fall.

Job went fine. Fastest response I ever had. I doubt the job took over 30 minutes. Flushed the gutters and cleaned up after they finished. Good Job.

Wonderful. They came when they said they would, did the job, and charged just what they said the would.

We have had Monroe Gutter Cleaning clean our gutters twice over the past year. He gets here in a timely fashion and does a good job (i.e.: the gutters are clean). Last time he was here, he reattached a downspout to the gutter at no charge. Our only concerns are that last time he was here, he left the water on and the leaf refuse on-site.

This was the first time we had used their services. It went very well. They are very easy to deal with, schedule and then stick to the schedule and you do not have to be home.

Called to schedule cleaning for gutters & they came the next day. Did a great job and called me a few times with questions, which was very helpful since I was not home at the time. Felt like they really cared about service and the customer.

They came within two days. Thoroughly cleaned gutters, kept with the estimate even though the back of our house was difficult...3 stories. Gave us a new, higher rate for next year which is extremely fair.

Everything went very well. They gave me a time frame of a week where they could come out, and they actually showed up the next day, or day after. They got everything done really quickly, and cleaned up very well after themselves. I would recommend them to others as well as use them again in the future.
