Every service performed by Shamrock Electric exceeded our expectations. The company holds to the highest standards. For example, estimates are fair and have never exceeded stated cost. Installations and upgrades are done professionally and are high quality. Mike is very detailed in his work; for example, when he upgraded the electrical service the entire panel was marked and he provided us with a hand writen list detailing each breaker to each appliance and light. Mike and his crew arrive on time, never rush or leave a mess. His men are polite. They speak to each other via walkie talkies. There is no shouting! My husband is a contractor and has gone through many sub-standard electricians. He can rely on Mike and calls him for every job and of course, our own work. When it comes to electrical work. there has to be perfect, high quality work. Shamrock Electrick has stood the test of time; they have been with us for several years and that will not change. I got in touch with Michael Connolly, the owner of Shamrock Electric, towards the end of April, requesting an estimate for the work that is detailed above. He came out the next evening to check everything out. Within twenty-four hours, he sent me his proposal, which was readily accepted. Once the barn light arrived from the manufacturer, I called to arrange to have all the work done on a day that was mutually convenient. Everything was done exactly as agreed, and Michael's work was done professionally, meticulously---and so neatly, that apart from the visible improvements, you would never know that anyone had been drilling through walls and studs to make them happen. Without any hesitation, I highly recommend Shamrock Electric to anyone who is in need of an electrician.

Mike has done alot of work in my home and outside my home. Mike is a true stand up person no hidden chargers. He is a true professional and stands by his work.He is a type of person that you could leave the job with him there and return without a worry. Needed this job done within a couple of days of calling Mike and he got it done efficiently, professionally and at reasonable cost. Not only did Mike disconnect the pre-existing 220v line but he left the wiring and breaker intact so that it could easily be put back in service should I want to go back to an electric stove someday. All work was done neatly and Mike and helper left the place looking just as it did before the work was done. This is my first time using Shamrock and I will be happy to call Mike again for any electric work I might need.

Michael and his team were fantastic! Showed up on time, very professional, very courteous, and offered design advice I had not considered when drafting the original project. All work was done quickly and efficiently, and they cleaned up after themselves so the room was cleaner than when they started. Everything works, and it looks like it was built originally with the house! Will totally use them again in the future!

The electric service to my house was damaged in super storm Sandy, leaving the wires detached and the meter pan pulled away from the exterior wall of my home, allowing rain and snow to run down into the breaker box. Michael and his worker replaced the main service, the meter pan and the breaker box. They also brought my service up to code. The job was done professionally and the work site was left tidy. Because of this experience, if asked I would highly recommend Shamrock Electric and I would not hesitate to use them again in the future.

I was concerned about an electrical problem and faulty breaker. Mike returned call and came the same day. Polite, professional and more then reasonable fee for his time (checked wiring for each outlet on the circuit) and replaced the breaker.

Can't say enough about how well this job went. My main concern when contracting for this work was damage to the newly painted walls and ceilings. Mike was very careful not to create any more holes than he needed to in order to get the cables where I wanted them. The holes he needed to make were small and neat which makes for easy repair. The routing required some portion of the cable to run on the outside of the house. Considering the weather conditions that day I was impressed that he went ahead with the project. He did a great job of hiding the cable behind the siding. All cables were terminated neatly in their proper boxes and wall plates. Like I said, I can't say enough about how well this went. I wish all my contracting work went this well. Thank you, Angie.

Michael was very responsive and came to the house the same night that I placed the call for service. The repairs were done efficiently and quickly at a reasonable cost. We were very happy with the quality of service that we received.

I am very pleased that when I called Shamrock Electric, that Mike called me back the same afternoon and set up a time to do the repair. Mike made an appointment for the next day and arrived at my home right on time. Mike installed two new light switches. He he was very professional, punctual and the cost was very fair. I'd definitely call him again when I need an electrician.

It went well. Mike is very responsive and professional. He does a quality job for a great price. The only reason I gave an overall rating of B was because when installing the chandelier in our dining room, his assistant broke the sheetrock. In other words, he made an extra hole. But, before they left, his assistant spackled it. Then, my husband & I had to spackle more and paint over it. I would have preferred that Mike came back to finish that instead of us. I say Mike is very responsive because I e-mailed him to tell him that the LED high-hats were flickering. The lights we used came from Lowes-they weren't provided by Mike. He came back to put in a different dimmer. Now the lights will only flicker if the dimmer is very low when we turn on the lights. So, we have the dimmer at least in the middle when we turn them on. I would advise everyone not to use the Utilitech LED lights from Lowes. Just use what Mike provides. I would definitely recommend Mike to anyone looking for any kind of electrical work.

Mike came multiple times during the renovation process and worked very well with our contractors. He is competent, courteous, professional. We have found our "go to" electrician. On cost, I cannot comment on how much more expensive he is vs others. All in all, electrical work costs a lot so that is something we learned through the process. It went great. Very professional, there when they said they would be...

Michael showed up at 9am and got to work right away. The old fan was removed in no time at all; however, because of how the old fan was installed there was more involvement installing the new fan. Michael had to square out the original opening but made sure to cover up the floor and fixtures before cutting away at it. After installing the fan he also replaced the exhaust line in the attic and made sure the system was working properly. The job took 1.5 hours from start to finish. Michael was very friendly and we are currently evaluating a quote for future projects.

Mike did a great job. He quoted the work the week prior and was able to come in right away and complete the job. Hanging our new fixture in the two story foyer was a bit challenging and Mike had to troubleshoot some issues while on a scaffold 16 feet up. The new lighting works great and we took Mike's advice and installed fewer high hats then we originally planned. Saved us some money and lighting is great. New fixture over our island was installed with no issues. Lot of little holes to route some the new wires in the ceiling but we expected this when we started the project and had our painter in the next day to finish up the ceiling work. Work looks better then some of the original work in the house (house is pretty new, only 5 years old). Mike even came back after the job to replaced a switch that was no longer used with an outlet. Mike cleaned up when he was done and left the house in good order. There were no surprises charges and the work was exactly as quoted, even though the foyer light was a little more challenging. Would recommend Mike and Shamrock Electrical for any electrical work you have.

Michael Connolly was a total professional. He gave me an estimate that was right on target. He showed up when he said he would with his assistant . Both were courteous and conducted themselves in a very professional manner. The work required wiring be pulled through the ceiling which is a messy and difficult job. The work was performed effiiciently and neatly. I was completely satisfied with the work and the price. This was the second time I have used Shamrock's services. The first time he wired my new heating system and I was so pleased with his work, I called him again

The lighting in my bedrooms was inadequate and so I decided to install recessed lighting in 3 bedrooms. Michael arrived on schedule for the appraisal. He answered all my questions and sent me a written appaisal in a timely manner. Soon after we set a date for the installation. I work full time, so he even offered to do the installation on a Saturday which I appreciated so I didn't need to take a day off from work. He arrived on time with his assistant and together they installed the lighting. With each bedroom, he made sure I was comfortalbe wtih the location of the light. The work was immaculate, well done and very neat. I am so very pleased with his work and professionalism. Needless to say I am enjoying the much needed light!

we used shamrock electric co after hurricane sandy hit. We needed a new electric service panel. They did a great job and we are going to use them again. We are going to have our whole basement rewired. I highly recommend them.
