At first I thought I struck gold…the staff actually called back when they said they would! Unfortunately, that didn’t last long. Soon calls weren’t being returned in a timely manner, if at all. Greg, the owner, was nice when he came to do the estimates, but, in subsequent conversations he could become curt, cut me off mid-sentence, and would talk over me. Frequently, his talking over me wasn’t even about the question I was actually trying to ask. I’d let him finish then ask the actual question I needed an answer to. Seemed that when he realized he had just gone on a tangent, and been rude “in error”, his tone would change and become more jovial. Greg also ignored me completely when I told him the parts needed for the repair were under warranty, instead of verifying with Mitsubishi that I was correct, he had an estimate sent to me with the cost of the part included. I called numerous times to ask why, but didn’t receive a call back. A few days after the last message I left, Greg called me, sounding quite irritated, and asked why I hadn’t signed off on the estimate and hadn’t scheduled the job yet! I reiterated that the part was under warranty and that I had told him that the day he was here for the estimates, AND, if he had responded to any of the recent calls I had made to him, he would have known. It took weeks for Greg to verify with Mitsubishi that the warranty was in effect, because, he said, I wasn’t “his only customer”, and then even more time to get the part in stock. Due to some error on their end, they received the part AND I received a duplicate part, at my home, addressed to Energywise. When I called them to tell them this, I was directed to Mike, the service manager. He & I established that it was a duplicate part & I shouldn’t open to box, they would take it back when they came to do the job. Days went by…nobody called to schedule the job. When I called to inquire why, Debbie, the office manager, argued that the part hadn’t been received yet! TWO were received!!! Apparently, the right hand doesn’t know what the left is doing, you’d think they’d find out before debating it with a customer though! Also, Greg was supposed to send me a copy of the labor warranty. Sending a labor warranty was discussed long before the job was ever scheduled. I sent an email about not having received it as the job start date was approaching. A week before the job was scheduled I called and left a voice message about still not having received it, and, that I wanted to review it BEFORE the work began. No response. The 2-day job was supposed to start on Wednesday, that Monday, a day and a half before the job was supposed to start, I got a call from Greg, he stated that they were behind on another job and my job was going to be squeezed into one day, Thursday. He also stated that the labor warranty would be sent that day. It was not received on Monday or Tuesday. Wednesday I sent an email & a text stating that I would not allow the work to start until I had the warranty to review. Since I still hadn’t received the warranty by Thursday morning, I tried the office and the emergency phone number when I got texts saying the workers were on their way. I couldn’t reach a person, I was only able to leave voice messages. When the workers arrived I asked them to contact someone at the office & ask them to contact me in regards to the labor warranty. The office manager, Debbie, called me back to tell me I HAD to let the workers start, and that the warranty was emailed on Wednesday at 5:47 p.m. I asked her to resend it, but still didn’t get it (I later realized that what she didn’t bother to tell me was I wasn’t looking for an email from Energywise, the sender was “Rockefeller”, so I didn’t see it in my emails). At that point I asked if she could just take a picture and send it to me, she refused because it was her personal phone. She then called the workers away from the job and I was told I would no longer be a customer! They wasted 3 months of my time then disposed of me because I’m a customer who wants to know what protection & guarantees I’m getting BEFORE having work done AND I expect a company to do what they say they’re going to do, when they say they are going to do it…or, AT THE VERY LEAST, after the third reminder that’s given to them! I had to put a star for quality of work to be able to submit this, though, I can’t honestly rate the actual quality of their work because they didn’t do any! BUT, if the comedy of errors above is any indication of the quality of workmanship….you can figure it out for yourself!

‘Twas a week before Christmas when all through the house – it was warm. When down in the basement there arose such a clatter that I sprang from my chair to see what was the matter. I tore open the cellar door when to my wondering eyes appeared – a code on my furnace said it had stopped with a clatter. Away to my phone I flew like a flash – to call my Energywise HVAC Pros for a gift of a visit. Out in the driveway there appeared in ten minutes a Dave to see what was the matter. He looked at the boiler called them by name: On test codes! on measuring gas! On changing probes! Then he met with an obstacle for the furnace exhaust to mount to the sky. He could return with a bundle of blower motor flung on his back, but first had to grab one from the supplier at the North Pole (or elsewhere). He did not shake when he laughed, having to tell me it was the start of the weekend before Christmas and the un-gift of COVID had made transporting by even a miniature sleigh and eight tiny reindeer -- difficult. But lively and quick his office flew to the phone to beg, to cajole, to demand. It is the weekend the elves at the supply house complained, but persistence found a FedEx sleigh and a Monday delivery was promised. But a gazillion kids presents got in the way and on Christmas Eve it came. Down the driveway Jason came with a bound. He did not have a round belly or a red-nosed reindeer but did place the gift of a blower on the furnace. Then laying his finger aside of his nose, giving a nod, up to his truck he rose. And I exclaimed as he drove out of sight – “Happy Christmas to all and a warm house tonight”.

The repairman was very knowledgeable about our gas furnace, performed a thorough cleaning and check of the furnace, the circulators, the attached hot water heater, etc. Discovered a minor air leak that will be repaired. Comforting to get done before the serious cold comes and the annual checkup comes with a minor discount and priority should repairs be needed. However with the "insurance" of the checkup, don't expect the need. Professional -- will continue with them again, of course.

Quick diagnosis by looking at the wall unit by Jan. He tried cleaning the flame sensor, which appeared to solve the "not starting" issue, but he tried it three more times -- on the third try it again failed. Instantly diagnosed as a gas pressure sensor and he had one in the van. Installed it, then tried restarting a lot of times -- Victory! A half hour call that solved the problem, with a service tech with persistence enough to make sure it really was solved. With freezing weather on the horizon, very important! They responded within 15 minutes of me calling for service.

We have a contract with them. The cost is part of our contract so there wasn't any. They left the area clean when they were finished. The worker was professional.

Awoke in the middle of the night to hear burner making a loud clicking noise and cycling rapidly on and off. Shut down unit. Contacted Energywise Inc, Ronkonkoma at approximately 10:00 am following day. Decided to try company based on personal recommendation from my plumber and several positive reviews on Angie's List. "Telephone call was immediately answered by "Debbie" who advised that she would try to get a tech out to me by 3 pm that afternoon and would call to keep me apprised of effort. Received a confirm at 2:30 from Debbie advising that she had a tech responding. Technician, Mike C, arrived shortly afterward. Upon conducting an exam of the burner's wiring, Mike found a faulty quick connector and determined it was making poor contact causing unit's safety circuit to shut down. Mike replaced connection and checked unit upon restart for further problems. Finding none, he advised that I was good to go and there would be no further charge than the initial service call rate. Very honest, courteous and professional company from start to finish. Putting them on my "speed dial" Triple AAA recomendatgion.
Description of Work: Inspected burner controls for an operational problem. Located bad connector and replaced. Monitored unit to ensure completed repair.

The installers were a pleasure to work with. They were extremely knowledgeable and cared for my home as though it was their own. Henry is an excellent asset to the team as he both pre-inspected my home prior to the installation as well as returned upon completion to verify the work was performed properly. I would recommend Energywise Inc. both now and in the future!!

Was referred to Energywise by an acquaintance. Mike was great. Very pleasant gentleman. While diagnosing our problem he gave me some advice on maintaining the system. We have a contract with the company so the visit was free and repairs are covered at a discount. The repair was simple and didn't require any parts so no charge. I appreciated the honesty, and that they made the service call right after a major snow storm. When I called their after-hours emergency service the woman that answered heard one of my children in the background and assured me they would show same day so that threads would have heat. We'll stick with them for all of our future HVAC needs.
Description of Work: Responded quickly to furnace issue. Blowing cool air. Cleaned flame sensor and checked air flow.

Salesman Robert was very informative and very thorough in explaining the system as well as the details of the final contract. I never felt rushed or pressured during the process. Robert told me about a $400 rebate which was available from Mitsubishi, something I knew nothing of prior to his visit. Installer Henry arrived as planned ahead of the actual installation date to review/discuss the job. Henry was informative, courteous and professional. On the day of the installation Henry and his helper (sorry I forgot his name) arrived as planned, were both informative, courteous, and professional in the installation. Cleanup was as expected, in line with the rest of the job. Could I have done better in the cost of the job? Possibly, but to me price is only part of the puzzle. A friend had recommended Energy Wise so I'm passing it on. I must say if you're looking for the kind of work they perform then go for it.
