Incredible. As others have mentioned, Stan’s work is amazing. He’s such a nice guy to start with and then on top of that his attention to detail is what you want in craftsman. He’s done multiple projects for us— and even for a neighbor and a relative at this point. We can’t rave enough about Stan. As others have mentioned on here, his projects have become the highlights of our home.

We needed our cabinets trimmed at the bottom to accommodate a new fridge. Stan did excellent work! He was very responsive to our request, showed up on time, and was very professional and efficient. The cabinets look great and you wouldn't even know they had any work done on them!! We were very satisfied and would definitely hire Stan again.

Stan's craftsmanship is impeccable. He really, really does things right- everything is super high quality. It turns out that our floors (and ceilings and walls!!!) were all pretty crooked, but Stan went above and beyond to get everything in straight. He also only used high-quality materials, even for the drawers themselves and other interior parts of the construction where others might have "cheaped out". He was SO patient and helpful through the design process- he really listened to us and drew multiple rounds of designs to be sure he got it right, including making some great suggestions that made the finished product even better than what I had envisioned! Stan's work is BY FAR the nicest thing in our home and the SINGLE BEST investment and improvement we could have made. I can't say enough about how good his work is.

Excellent! First, he visited our home to look at the "ingredients" (the Billy bookshelves, which we had assembled) and the space they were going to occupy. That evening, he e-mailed us a proposed design for the trim and moulding. We set a date, he adhered to it, and the results are great: sturdy, professional, nice finish. We will definitely call on him again for future projects.

We requested a very specific job to be completed which included a long wall of built-in cabinetry, complete with a hidden door. Stan, the owner, not only completed the very difficult project beautifully, but seemed eager for the challenge. It was certainly a challenge! It was completed perfectly; the hidden door was perfectly done and truly is hidden. All of our ridiculous specifications were accounted for in Stan's work. Great guy, good price, a beautiful permanent fixture in our home. We couldn't be happier!

It is exactly what we wanted, looks terrific and again, my belief is that Stan is "the Master Carpenter"

Stan did an excellent job! He came on time did the job cleaned up and charged a very fair price. I wish there were more just like him. I will definitely use him again in the future.

Stan came over and gave us a free estimate for a couple of projects. He took the time to discuss what we wanted, measured everything and presented us with several options. When we decided to wait on the bigger project, he didn't mind doing this small job for us at all. We were impressed with his attention to detail (color, size, etc). The doors were installed on time and for the price quoted and he even painted the newly exposed trim, to match the existing door frame. We would recommend his services without any hesitation.

Everything went smooth and fantastic. Stan was easy to communicate with and kept me up to date on everything. Work was completed over two trips. I have zero complaints and would definitely hire him again.

He listened to what I wanted and how I wanted the pieces to look. He was great with creative ideas. He was available either by text, cell or email and he responded almost immediately whenever I had to contact him. He kept me in the loop on all aspects of this project. All of the pieces are made of unstained cherry and they are beautiful! His attention to detail is fantastic; the grain of the wood carries through from one drawer front to the next. He and Newt built the items at his shop, the two of them carried these giant pieces up the stairs by themselves and painstakingly installed each of the pieces perfectly. Stan came in on budget, his pricing was very fair, used top of the line materials and the project was completed within a reasonable time frame. Stan is not just a carpenter, he is a craftsman in the truest sense of the word. There was no mess when they left, they worked non-stop and didn't leave until everything was perfectly installed. Stan and Newt are both very pleasant to deal with, great humor, real gentlemen and I highly recommend them. I received the name of this Company from Angie's List.

Stan did an amazing job fitting the cabinet in against an existing stairwell. He saw my vision, offered excellent design ideas and executed to perfection. He used quality materials and his skill as a craftsman really shined through. He was punctual and realistic in his time and cost estimates. He was also a very capable communicator as much of our interaction was via email and text since I live out of state. I couldn't be happier with the result and will definitely use Stan again.

I first called Stan to help me out with mortising door hinges. Found him here on Angies List. It was a very small job but he was ready to go to work on the project as soon as he arrived. His work was perfect...and the door installed exactly as I hoped. I decided to call Stan back to give me an estimate for building out mudroom cubbies and a bench. I am a pretty handy guy but I knew I needed a pro to build this. Stan worked with my ideas (didnt make me feel like an idiot) and then gave a few of his own thoughts. He later gave me a very reasonable estimate. I accepted his proposal and he then came back for precision measurements. Stan got right to work. A few days into construction he sent me pics to my cell phone to show me the progress. It looked great! By the end of the week the project was ready for delivery. Stan brought the units to my house, helped me unload them and even helped me install them (which wasn't part of our deal) I also had a bench top made out of 2" think cherry that Stan helped me custom cut to fit the bench (yet another thing he didnt have to do) Even after all that we decided to add one extra divider to the unit and Stan cut that out for us too. I was very pleased with the quality of the construction and it was a pleasure working with Stan. The mudroom looks outstanding! I highly recommend him for his fine work and personal integrity. Its clear to me that Stan really cares about his work and that the job is done right.

This project went extremely well and I?m very happy and satisfied with the outcome. Working with Sk Custom Woodworks was a very positive experience. SK paid a lot of attention to detail and was very professional. He was always on time, returned all phone calls and always showed up when he said he would. I would have no hesitation hiring SK Custom Woodworks for future projects and would highly recommend him to others.

This guy is aces. He matched design, color, and geometry of the bathroom. The quality is so much better than what I put in on the renovation from LOWES. I wish I new before I renovated, and I would have had him do all of it. I actually told my wife that some time from now, someone will have to redo the bathroom once again, but I bet they keep that cabinet.

He followed our exact specifications for dimensions, finish, etc. but definetly exceeded our expections for quality. The Night Stand was done in maple, the drawer had dovetail joints. the quality and finish were exceptional. The Oak Storage Chest was custom built to match our existing bedroom set. The dimensions, fit and finish exactly match the style and finish of the Oak we already had in place. We asked him back to do Crown Molding Work in our house and future plans for some "built in" projects in our home.

The only way I would describe Stan is professional all the way. He calls you back when you leave a message. He shows up for an appointment on time. He understands what your vision for the project is and turns it into a reality. The price is what he says it will be, without any unforeseen excuses, and the project is always finished on time. Bottom line is if you want a quality custom made project then Stan can help you!!!

Initial consult with Stan was for a Mantel for the front of the gas insert fireplace and to mount TV over fireplace. Showed him a picture of what I liked in a Mantel book...and got an EXACT replica. At the time of initial consult, I asked if he had any suggestions for the other side of the fireplace, and he suggested floor to celing cabinets to match the kitchen cabinets, as the two rooms flow together. I gave him a kitchen cabinet door to match stain of the wood, a few days later he came by with one cabinet door completed, and it matched perfectly! I was most impressed with the quality of the workmanship of the ONE door...12 doors and completed cabinets later, I have a Beautiful wall in the dining room and very functional too! Most impressive with Stan & Newt's workmanship was their attention to detail...every last one, right on down to the little rubber stoppers on the inside of each door and the feature of their closing quietly. My husband was home throughout the installation process and described these two guy's as " A Well Oiled Machine" as they worked together. My initial impression while watching them unload their trailer of tools and supplies, told me that this would be a Quality Job, with attention to detail, as their tools were organized & clean. And every day when I returned home from work, I found my house cleaner than when I had left it...and the finished products were Beautiful, exceeding my expectations!!! I only wish we had found Stan sooner, as many of the last contractors "projects" are embarassing! As a business owner myself, I have kept photos of this work to show my customers that may be looking for a Talented, Finish Carpenter, and highly recommend them! Although I am sure they didn't agree with my husband's politics (not many do), and they didn't teach my dog any new tricks...We are THRILLED with our completed Cabinets, Mantel & finishing the molding and lights on the kitchen cabinets! It went extremely well and I could not be happier with the results. The work was started by another contractor who left the project in shambles. Most contractors and woodworkers I spoke with were hesitant to take over and complete the work given the original contractor's shoddy construction. Stan was willing to help me out and brought his experience and expertise to the situation. Not only was the work completed in a timely manner, but the quality of the work exceeded my expectations. He is very thoughtful and considerate; whenever an issue came up, it was immediately brought to my attention for discussion and resolution. As an architect and designer, I can really appreciate the professionalism and knowledge of this company. The quality of work is exceptional.
